To All Single Disers... What does your Dis Nick means?!

I just worked 11 of the last 14 days. I now have 4 off. Too many Charge nurses off on leave so I had to fill in. It will make a great check but I am completely wiped out. When I was still in Cali at my other hospital I worked 6 on and 8 off. I LOVED that schedule. It doesn't work so well here and our patient acuity is much higher so I am usually completely exhausted if I work 4 in a row. . .

If I had to work eleven days of twelve hours, I'd be dead tired. Especially with your level of responsibility. Like you said, the money will be good. But, the taxes will be high. At least it's near the end of the year, so you'll get some of it back. The six on eight off would be great. The day shift supervisors had worked something similar for about a year. eight on, six off. Are you happy in Nevada? Your post on reading your contract tells me your work conditions changed...

ROFLMAO. . .oh lord, you have missed my last several months of posts where I swear that last summer would be my last summer in the desert. I miss mountains and the beach. I lived in Redondo Beach for almost 15 years. I HATE the desert but there are many reasons why I live in the desert. None of those reasons are important today.

 Yeah, I have missed a lot :) Redondo Beach would be wonderful! But the cost of living, at least for housing, is probably a little high. Probably not as bad now, though. I bought my house for $85,000 in 1989. Probably worth about $170,000 now. 1,210 sq ft.

The average highest temperature here is about 100 degrees. But there's times I think they throw out anything over 105 in their calculations.. lol. A couple times a year it might hit 110. Just gotta stay inside. I'm about 1 1/2 hours from Pismo Beach, and you can see the mountains in the spring and fall. Too gray in the winter, too smoggy in the summer.

I was raised in South Dakota. The last year I was there, we had 110 inches of snowfall. I have no desire to live there again :)

Oh lord. It is 115 minimum most of the summer. . .I HATE it. There are mountains. . .Black mountain, mt charlston (which actually has a ski resort), etc. But I am a Cali girl through and through. . .landlocked is not my life. . .

Yeah, I love California. The politics are a little crazy sometimes. The state has no clue how to balance a budget, and that impacts local governments. So that impacts how we operate at work. But I know California isn't the only state having problems. And, all things considered, I haven't found a place I'd rather be.

Sometime when you're ready, you'll have to fill me on the reasons you stay there.

You might not want to know. . .lol. . .

Great!!! is this store where you got the Bolthouse juices anywhere near 192/disney resort??? Publix must of the times only have the naked juices... but preffer the Bolthouse ones... delish!!!!!!!

Ok going back to your cousins

Yes, really great stuff IMHO. Actually, I bought this at a local Super Wal-Mart, so provided you don't have issues with shopping there (some people do), there might be some nearby. The closest one appears to be:

3250 Vineland Road
Kissimmee, FL 34746

Which *I think* is pretty close to the Publix (on SR 535). So one of the two should have it, but I would try the Wal-Mart first.

Still haven't located any cousins, sorry.

Good Morning :) Another colder than normal day for us here but the sun is shining brightly and even the birds are chirping :goodvibes
I hope everyone up North has shoveled out from underneath the piles of snow and that things will warm up a bit for this week.

Have a beautiful day!!!

Ok to all the Male Disers here... I have a personal question....
...snip!...

Are you a Pirate or a Prince and why???

I be a Pirate, matey! D'ya know why? Arrr!! 'Cause I wear ARRRRRRR-gyle socks!

(and, I have a stuffed, pegleg Pirate Parrot hanging above my cube, identifying me as a Jimmy Buffet fan!)

Aye!

Hmm, I may have to look into that..I like the Dare because it has a touch screen to go along with that 3.2 camera but will check out the Omnia before I decide .. I , like you, like a good camera in my phone as I always have the phone with me ....

I've got the "don't export the Omnia to the USA" version, the SGH-i900, currently working on AT&T. It is a spectacular phone, and the only thing it doesn't (yet) do is true 3G speeds. But there's a whole developer community working on that little problem over at omnia.modaco.com. That's a great place to check out for incidental software as well.

Unfortunately, the Samsung-branded Omnia is far more well-equipped than the Verizon 'de-contented' version. Mine does turn-by-turn navigation, has 16GB of memory internally and accepts a 16GB memory card, all sorts of stuff in addition to a 5.omegapixel camera. It also does video calling. Samsung just doesn't export it here yet - mine came through a broker from Singapore.

You can see it at the next Dismeet.

Cool, thanks Mark....I am hoping the next Baltimore Dismeet will not be when we are doing Foxwoods or I will miss it....It's always nice to physically see a phone and see how it works prior to purchasing it. I love my current phone but ready for some new technology :) (ie;toy)

I didn't use text that much before my Sept. Trip to Dis. Since then I can't belive how much I use it. I knew it was getting bad when I started Texting my friend sitting at the same table in a club. It was easier than trying to yell.

Just finished watching the Pats beat Arizona but I doubt they are going to make the playoffs this year. They Need the Jets to lose tonight and than have them beat the Dolphins next week.

I've already shoveld my driveway twice today. I've got at least 20" of snow so far. It's been snowing non-stop since 4PM on Friday and it's not supposed to stop till Around Midnight tonight. I'll have to get some good Pictures to post.

Bite your tounge - We will make it, we will make it.
Nice game yesterday :lmao:
Not really a game, the fair weather cardinals didn't like playing in our little snow storm.

I have shoveled over two feet of snow - and I have had enought!
Except it is only Dec :sad1:

I think it will be fitting that the quarterback the Jets let go will seal their fate next week.

if thats the same phone you were playing with Will the last time then I did see it already... sad to say I will be just availing the one from Verizon in March 09 ... My cousin do have the Samsung /Japan issue which is excellent according to him but then it is easier for him to get it since he is in the Philippines on import.export bussiness :faint:

I believe if I remember correctly from the Verizon site the US one has 6gb internal memory and can handle the 16G SD card, it also has the turn by turn navigation I believe..I will have to go back and reread the stats on it :)

::yes:: it has all that but for some reason cousin thinks the Japan issue is why better.. but then I am really after the 5.0 camera :goodvibes

Me too....hahahah..we are so bad that we look for a decent camera in our phones....:lmao: :lmao: I like a touch screen as well...and will be glad when our contract runs out with work and hopefully since the owner is pretty good about getting high tech stuff for us managers I am hoping he will get something with a touch screen this time and a better camera than what we currently have... I know the last time I hung out with him he was talking about it so I know I will be seeing him before our contract is up for renewal so if I have the Omina and he likes it he will go with something even more high tech with Sprint... It just seems that no matter where I go on business Sprint just does not get the same type of reception I get with Verizon....
