To All Single Disers... What does your Dis Nick means?!

About two months into the job, my supervisor told me "The women run this place." Good surivival tip :rotfl:
As an RN I worked with mainly women all of my life and IMO there is nothing worse.....:goodvibes (nice thing for me to say about "my kind" isnt it??? lol)

As far as what I am I know I am not a princess. I hate girls, like the ones they show on reality shows who go on and on about how they are a princess and the deserve this and that...pa...leeeaaaseee!!

Now don't get me wrong, I like girly things - flowers, makeup, pretty clothes but I am pretty low maintenance and I, not a "prince", provide those special things to myself in life.

So I think that makes me a pirate princess...not sure what the definition of that is though :)

As far as what I am looking for, I know I am not looking for some Prince to sweep me off my feet...guess I am just too realistic. I think a pirate would be more fun and interesting anyway and I always seem to go for that type...you know like the cute guys best friend who doesn't get as much attention...that's who I go for. :)

Hi Amy :wave2: Hope you are feeling much better today:hug:

Hmmm.
I think I am looking for a little bit of a Pirate and a Prince. I like romance and being treated well, but I also want a man who will sit on the floor and play games with the kids and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty.

Ok, I guess I better jump in here since a certain someone has used my name in vain in this thread a few times....and since I read most of the 18 pages I do have a little catching up to do...

TawasDave= I live in a small town in northeast Michigan called Tawas...Dave..that's a longer story..but suffice it to say that a group of college buddies started calling each other Dave in college..and 32 years later we still do....other names you may have seen for me Svenlonggrin If you are a M*A*S*H fan you know who that is (no helping Ang or Sha)...and Hoseman..I am Captain of the local Fire Department and a Medical First Responder....But real name...Randy

Ang..You mentioned several pages back about making your walls soundproof..and I am thinking that's probably a very good idea....my neighbors...um...well..I guess that's gettin to the to much information stage...:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I would say I am more of the prince type guy..I tend to try real hard to treat everyone (especially the ladies) right...

And what am I looking for..probably a more frilly princess in public...with a pirate princess streak in private...does that count?

Ok..did I cover everything?

:scared1: OH MY :scared1:
Timmy +cooking+ thinking of all things Disney= This?????
So tell me oh bored one...what does your Chef Charming look like as you envision him in your floury kitchen where you are currently baking cakes....

Hmmmhe is tall... def'ly tall... since I am only 5'2 :lmao: who doesnt mind chopping all the veggie I will be needind in my next menu and would love to dry dishes while I am washing it so it does not pile up yah know... and at the end of the day will make sure my kitchen is clean before joining me for a nice galss of Pinot :lmao: I know.. i know.. I am dreaming.. but you asked...

OK...I will add my own question of the day on here....:goodvibes

I know we have touched on some of the things we are looking for in a mate on various other threads...ie..on a scale of 1-10 how much should your significant other love disney etc etc.... but lets put a different spin on that and since Timmy wants to know if we are Pirates, Princes or Princesses/Pirate Princesses what are we looking for....
So..guys are you looking for the Frilly Princess or the Pirate Princess and ladies are you looking for a Prince Charming or a Pirate..................

are the wicked step sisters included?? wait a minute I was the one who ask the question.. so yes.. I am adding the wicked step sister...:lmao: I was never a princess.. but I dont think I would like to be a Pirate princess either... I am the gal who was selling veggies and fresh loaf bread with freshly brewed coffee in the Village market!!! Yes that describes me me perfectly.. hmmm so I guess I am looking for a Prince in the Village who does not have an idea that he is a prince since he was adopted by this nice happy average couple who brought him up well.. and then eventually he will be some apprentice for a milkman :lmao: then he will be ask to deliver milk and stuf at my store.. we'll meet and share a cup of Starbucks Coffee:rotfl2: then eventually ones we are tired of living averagely and have taken out all the bugs in the system he will find out he is a Prince and we'll go to the Castle and collect....:scratchin ... hmmm not a bad story....

:woohoo: Loving your Prince who doesn't know he's a prince idea..... and since SE could never build my future when I rode it as a single rider(pic was in trippee report) I tend to also draw a blank when I try to figure out my Happily Ever After:lmao: When I was younger, I had a certain "type" but since then I have came to agree with someone who once told me my "picker outer was broken" There is only one thing I know without a doubt is that he must be intelligent and have a great sense of humor. I think "The Beast" captures what I am looking for as odd as that may sound, and its even more difficult to explain, but part of that is that I am not looking at whats on the surface but deeper at whats in the heart :goodvibes

 Yes, it can be bad. There's about 5% men, now. But for about eleven years, I was the only man. I think I've just learned to live with it, and separate my life away from work from my life at work. Guess maybe they call that "well rounded?" ;)

ooh ooh my turn. . .

I am definitely a Pirate Princess. Lets be realistic. I hate the thought of spending hours making myself up, my fave dressup is nice jeans and a nicer "girls" tee shirt, I throw myself out of perfectly good airplanes for fun and I scream like a banshee and curse like a pirate at a sporting event. Now, that being said, I can wear a dress if need be, I know how to put on makeup and I have 42 pairs of shoes in my closet (mm4m, 100 pairs of shoes is bordering on obsessive. . .lol). Of course I also have 30 pairs of jeans and tend to wear 5 pairs that are my fave. I also love designer labels so I guess that makes me somewhat of a princess. But I work for and pay for my own designer labels. Of course I am just as happy at the french department store known as Target, as I am at Macy's or Nordstrom so there ya go.

My man has to be a bit more of a pirate than a prince. Gotta be tall enough for me to wear heels (I am 5'5" so with a 2.5" to 3" heel the guy must still be taller than me). For some reason that seems to make a difference to me and has to have a bit of an edge (that's the pirate part). Otherwise he just needs to be fun and love roller coasters. Not really into couch potatoes or sticks in the mud.

Now that being said I love fine dining, the opera, musicals, and the ballet so that pirate must be flexible, be comfortable in jeans and tees or a suit/tux. . .is that asking too much?

Well at my hospital in IMC on the night shift we are about 20% male. Its somewhat of an anomaly in this hospital and we women find it quite a luxury.

On the night shift there is:

Asbel
Raphi
Michael
Allan
Melchor
Jeff
Vladimer

That is a lot of men for a 22 bed unit where the ratio is 4 to one and we work 12 hr shifts.

Always a good thing to separate the two I think :)

definitely not...and um....;) sounds to me like you are looking for someone who is "well rounded" :rolleyes1

I work backstage in the theatre. It's my dream job. How many people can say that?

Where I work, the men who fit in seem to be more appreciated. There's one who's introverted, and the women seem to be less comfortable working with him. But we've only had one man leave the job, after finishing training. And that wasn't because of a problem with his co-workers. I guess that probably speaks well for the work environment, or the men who are successful there.

Yes, most of the men on my unit are outgoing. Its a good work environment for Vegas (considering how horrid Vegas medicine is). I miss my California work environment and the way medicine is practiced there.

Higher quality in California? Or a different atmosphere? I'm wondering if it's quality, because of the Stanford, UCLA, USC medical schools...

Okay tough question -

Not really a girly girl, although I do clean up 'nice', I prefer Pirate -as they are respectful to women.- gotta love the bad boys pirate:

I worked for many years in a male dominated company, and can chat with the best of them - loves sports :)
I DO love a man in a suit, but a nice pair of jeans works well too - as long as the cologne is dreamy.

Being the oldest and a girl I got the benefit of both worlds with my M&D. Kind of Jack of all trades master of none.

Hmmmm. I'm gonna be in Vegas in February for the NASCAR race. Remind me not to get sick :scared:

Gotta leave for work. Catch you all later.

Oh we should warm up to the 70s or 80s by February. I have season tix to Nascar. Love Nascar. . .lol.

:lmao: on the "hors'whatever" and I do not think I have ever experienced a bowling party thru work:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That would be an interesting concept I think.............

We went through a merger last year, my group did receptions, the other group did bowling and drinks... was way more fun bowling and drinking -fortunately(?) was in WDW when this year's party/reception happened, been told I didn't miss much... although there were a few after-parties (or so I'm told) ;)

So..guys are you looking for the Frilly Princess or the Pirate Princess and ladies are you looking for a Prince Charming or a Pirate..................

Definitely looking for a pirate princess, want someone who can pull her own weight (unfortunately, soon-to-be ex was a frilly princess masquerading as a pirate... sigh)

-Ken
