I just spoke to Ana at Beaute Speciale and I am wondering to go with the regular make up or airbrush make up. What have you guys had done?

Would it matter at all that my ceremony is on October 8, at noon at SBP? I dont know if the temperature plays a role.

I had the airbrush and I personally didn't think it felt any different than regular makeup, nor did it look different. So in brutal honesty, go with what's cheapest or what the makeup artist recommends.

See, I'm the opposite. I had airbrush and I *loved* it because it felt really light and looked natural on me (no mean feat, considering I'm as white as a ghost! :cutie:). I also found it lasted longer than regular makeup, but I sprayed it with setting spray, so that helped.

Since Patricia LeJeune only charges $10 more for airbrush, the decision was kind of a no-brainer for me. But I don't know how much more Ana charges. Also, I have heard she is not that big a fan of the stuff, so you might go with whatever she feels more comfortable using.

I have a very rosy complextion and some red spidery veins on my cheeks and was thinking of going with the paramedical (is that what it's called?) makeup which Patricia offers. This is airbrushed on too I believe. Has anybody tried this?
Carrie, what is this setting spray called? It sounds fabulous!!!

I used Model in a Bottle for the wedding. You can buy it online, and there are usually discount codes floating around the Internet if you Google "Model in a Bottle" and "code" or "coupon." I've also recently tried Skindinavia's Makeup Finishing Spray and thought that worked well too. It also sprays with a finer mist than Model in a Bottle.

However, as PrincessShea has noted, nothing is gonna keep your makeup on in the middle of a hot July afternoon in Orlando! :rotfl2:

Actually, Ana did my make up (she uses MAC) and I don't know what setting spray she used, but I got married August 1st and I will say, although I sweat like a pig (nice visual, I know :rotfl2:), my make up stayed put from when she put it on at 5am until I washed it off after closing down MGM at 2am , 21 hours later !!

I am a make up artist and I would definetly recommend the airbrushed make up. It lasts longer and with all the heat and humidity you really want something that will hold up well.

I used Ana too and had the airbrush makeup for our wedding day then had the regular makeup for our MK shoot, breakfast and park fun the following day. Both were excellent but I would go for the airbrush hands down. I  it!! I get really shiny, whether I'm sweating or not, and I didn't need to touch up at all. Everyone kept asking me how I stayed looking so radiant all day. The airbrush seemed to be an even, all over and VERY light coat to me. With the regular makeup, I felt I would've liked to touch up with powder a lot sooner. Both are great but the airbrush stayed put for a LOT longer in my opinion. I wish I had airbrush makeup everyday!! :cloud9: HTH!

I have to agree. We all did airbrush make-up when I was a bridesmaid in the past, and it stays put for so long. No need for touch up the entire day and evening, so to me, that's worth it. They even did it on our lips, and we didn't have to reapply anything on our lips either. We loved it.
