We are 40 somethings with 2 daughters, 10 and 12. We have 250 Points at OKW. We are thinking about adding another 150 points or so.

One consideration is how easy it is to exchange points to do other things - heaven forbid - then going to WDW.

Anyone have any thoughts about the exchange for other programs - Adventure, Concierge, etc.?

Are 400 points enough?

Any thoughts, experiences, etc. are appreciated.

Well we have two contracts 300 OKW and 215 BCV. The BCV purchase was to get a week in choice season in a 1 bedroom at BCV with 11 month window. If I had my way we would add another 400 OKW points, but that is for later.

We have only exchanged into the Disney collection and that was real easy. We may do it again for DL. I have heard others say they have enjoyed trips in the other collections and are sold on the program. But some have also said that it is not the best use of points and I tend to agree there, even with the Disney collection.

Dean (who is probably one of our resident timeshare experts) has said that Mariott and other timeshares are much less expensive and easier to trade with -- Dean if I got this wrong please correct me.

We bought DVC primarily for our Disney trips and usually book other trips with my travel agent. She is a great resource and advocate for her clients.
