I've never heard of this airline but saw their ad in the morning paper. Has anyone ever flown them? They fly from Washington Dulles to Sanford for only $79 each way (for our Nov dates - some other dates are $59!) plus you can upgrade to First Class for only $25. I don't know anything about Sanford airport though. Is it close to Disney?

We're flying Transmeridian Airlines from Allentown, PA to Sanford, FL on June 23rd and we're hoping for a positive experience. Last year we flew Southeast Airlines on the same route but they have since gone bankrupt. Transmeridian replaced Southeast in the Allentown airport, and so far I have seen mostly positive reports from people who have used them. TMA is similar to what Southeast was, which is a charter airline. As a charter airline, they have more flexibility in changing schedules and fares, which helps them keep their costs low but which also introduces a bit more uncertainty for customers.

The Sanford Airport is small and convenient, and is about an hour's drive from WDW (while Orlando International Airport is about 30 minutes from WDW).

We flew TMA from Syracuse last June and will do so again at the end of the month. They are not the flashiest airline but we couldn't beat a nonstop flight for such little money. One perk is a small meal (I think it was a sandwich, yogurt, cookies) as well as drink service. I miss that on other airlines. I give a big thumbs up to the Sanford airport too. It IS a longer drive to WDW (about an hour) but the airport is tiny compared to MCO; you'll be on the road less than 20 minutes after landing. And you can drive the 417 and avoid traffic on I4 and Beeline.

I'll be flying TMA out of Allentown on July 21st and really looking forward to it. I like the direct flight, meal on plane and already have our seat numbers. And the $79 each way is a GREAT rate. So far, the TMA has been wonderful. :sunny:
