Not sure if this post should go under this heading or not but I hope it's ok!

Has anyone heard of the show on TLC called Second Chance? It's similar to their Baby Story, Wedding Story, & Blind Date stories they do. I usually don't watch this as it comes on in the middle of the day when I'm pretty busy working but yesterday I was channel surfing and came upon this show. It's about couples that dated in the past, broke up and are now wanting to reunite. This story was about a couple that had dated for a while and then broke up (her request). A few months after breaking up she realized she had made a huge mistake so decided she wanted to reunite w/her ex. From what I gathered they had dated about a year or 2 and had been about 2 yrs since they broke up--neither one finding anyone else they had the "connection" with. Also from what I gathered they were big Disney fans and had taken several trips while dating to Disney. So the girl...think her name was Stella...contacted 2nd Chance, told them her story and wanted to connect w/her lost love (Sean I think). It was soooo sweet!! Sean and his sister, neices, Dad and BIL were staying at Old Key West Resort. Stella, her parents and best friend were staying at another resort altho I don't remember which one. They taped several clips of Stella and her family at Animal Kingdom, several of Sean and his family at Epcot. Then the day before they were to meet, Stella arranged for Goofy to send Sean an invitation to meet her the next day. He was to arrive at the flagpole on Main Street in MK & receive instructions from there. So he arrived at the appointed time and was greated by Goofy who gave him a map of the park & instructions to go to this particular store for his next instructions. When he rec'd at this store, he got a Goofy hat and t-shirt w/further instructions to go to another store where he rec'd a Goofy watch and more instructions. This last set of instructions told him to go to Cinderella's castle to meet Stella. Both couples were wanting to be reunited and pick up their relationship where it had ended so both were VERY nervous. When Stella finally spotted Sean she broke down crying and told him how much she had missed him and was so glad he had agreed to see her again. Goofy joined them, gave hugs and they went on their way riding rides and having fun. While all of this was going on both families rec'd msgs to meet the couple at a restaurant in MK. At the appointed time the family joined the couple, realized they were getting back together and celebrated. Then there were clips of both families watching the Wishes Fireworks at the end of the day w/the happy couple talking marriage.

This was such a good show!!! I guess b/c I'm such a softy and a true sucker for a romantic story and then to be combined w/one of my favorite places on earth, it really got to me. I found I had tears in my eyes when they were reunited for the first time!!

What a plug and an awesome thing for WDW to do. Not only did they help this couple get back together, they had some great clips of the parks. Sort of a commercial for Disney w/o the commercial look. If anyone has seen this show, pls let me know. I think it was filmed earlier this year because there were several clips w/banners that said "Family Gatherings". I'd like to know if the happy couple are still together and what their plans are.

Actually, I was coming on this morning to post about it! Wasn't it great? The couple was very nice and they seemed to genuinely like/love each other. But the scenes of WDW were the best!! I kind of started ignoring the storyline and just watched the parks! I get so excited when they are in a spot and I know EXACTLY where they are standing, just by what the camera is looking at! My kids think I am some sort of WDW magician! If anyone is looking to see this episode sometime in the future, the description on my satellite dish guide doesn't say anything about WDW.... just "Stella and Sean" reunion, blah, blah........P

Edited to add: Near the end of the episode the couple is standing at the Main Street train station. I said to my DD.... if they show them watching "Wishes" now, I am just going to cry... and they did!.................P

Oh, I know it.......my kids get so excited now when they see stuff about WDW. They'll say "Moma, we did that!" or "we rode that" or "I remember that"!!!

Now...my question......didn't you get just a little bit choked up on the end?!?! Hey, don't laugh........I cry on Hallmark commercials and even have been known to get "misty" during the Folger's coffee commercials when the kid comes home from college. THEN this morning I saw one for Publix grocery stores......this little girl is making a really nice breakfast w/pancakes, eggs the whole deal, picks some daisies, puts them in a vase and in walks her Dad!! He is returning from working the night shift as a police officer, looks terribly tired and worn out and she says "GOOD MORNIN DADDY!!" MAN!! Gets me every time!!

Actually, I am known among my friends and family as a "non-cryer" for the most part. I don't usually cry at commercials and such that make my friends/Mom/cousins cry. But I cry just thinking about WDW!! Kind of sappy, I know.

BTW, were we the only two schlumps with nothing better to do during the day than watch pathetic shows on TLC?? :p How pathetic are we?? (Actually, I was getting dressed to take my kids out minigolfing and to the movies... but when this popped on we had to finish watching it before we left!).......P

I'm a sucker for all those shows on TLC!! Usually DD(4) is watching Disney, Nick Jr or Cartoon network while I work -- I'm a home based travel agent-- but yesterday I had a ton of laundry to fold so was doing that between phone calls.

Don't worry, I'm a shlump too :D . I have a few more days left of vacation so I'm enjoying the TLC cry-fest lineup while I can.

I thought that couple was so sweet and I'm glad they got back together. I was worried he might be bitter and resentful towards her. I did feel bad when they were reunited and he was wearing that silly goofy hat  . It wasn't a flatering look for him.

I loved seeing all those shots of the park! It made me home sick :D

I just couldn't stop watching it! The couple was cute, but I honestly didn't care too much about what they were saying to each other (sorry!) I just really loved seeing the parks!

Coming from someone who doesn't have the travel channel (ugh Comcast!) I really enjoyed seeing WDW on tv!

When I'm home, I also try to watch Wayne Brady, just to see if they are running the reruns from the week he filmed at AK. Those were good shows too!
