No. I think a show like that would be better with someone who is a noted expert in Alaskan habitats and stuff, not a politician. It doesn't matter if she hunts, her first job is a politician.

I watched it- well DVR'd it. My family is doing an Alaskan cruise next year- so wanted to see the scenery and get more excited about the cruise. It was OK.

It was very good. We set up a season pass to catch all 8 episodes.
It was fun seeing Alaska from a native. We just loved Alaska when we went a few years ago.

I missed it the first time it was on, but TLC is repeating this same episode several times so I'm actually watching right now. I've always loved Alaska and this just makes me want to go back. Beautiful!

I have no interest in the political aspect. I'm watching for the Alaska exposure.

Will the first episode be on again?
When will the remaining episodes air?

Are there going to be hunting scenes? I don't want to see those. Especially if they are from helicopters.

Oh, I didn't realize this is a political show... I thought it was a show about her family/life in Alaska. The Survivor Producer is producing it - I would expect it to be top-notch, as his work seems to be.

It seems that people aren't watching it because "It's Sarah Palin's show"... politically motivated, obviously, and that bugged me (not a SP fan, but not a hater like so many seem to be) at first but then I thought about it, and I wouldn't be watching any show which featured a person whose views I didn't agree with!

Boy, TLC makes some interesting choices in people for their shows. They have the Gosselins, Duggars and now the Palins. That networks presents a pretty skewed view of the American family.

Well- I don't think most "typical" American families would make good tv. For instance our family, it would have been a riveting episode yesterday: DH works on his new motorcycle garage ALL DAY, I went grocery shopping (I did use some coupons!) DS moped around being "bored" I'm thinking we wouldn't get picked up by the network. LOL

We watched it last night, and have set it up to record each of the 8 episodes. I've always liked Sarah, and to see her home state is interesting. The scenery was beautiful, and I especially loved the scene where they were fishing and the bears were there. Wow.

I didn't think the show was political at all, just her and her family (love seeing the kids) and her beautiful state of Alaska.
