I just get a kick out of the commercial where she says "I'd rather be out here than in any stuffy old political office". LOL, I am sure that statement will come back to haunt her. I can't stand to look at her face or hear her voice, so I don't think I can watch it. I will get a real documentary on Alaska if I want to see the real Alaska. LOL for people who think this show is her real life; its no more her real life than Jon and Kate plus Eight. Yeah, no boys upstairs, Willow! Didn't seem to work with Bristol:rotfl:

Oh no, I didn't watch. I watched "The Walking Dead" not much difference actually.
Besides, I've practically seen the show from all the promo's on the news shows all week. I know that she shoo's away a teen boy from going upstairs to see her teen daughter's room. Its good Granny Grizzly finally picked up on that trick!

I agree with everything you said.

People sound like there is no other information out there about Alaska. Like, thank heaven's this show came along because I don't know how else I would have learned anything about Alaska! It's not like it's the lost city of Atlantis. DH and I also want to go to Alaska, and I have been researching it. However I can find far more educational footage with more beautiful cinematography than this show.

We watched it and enjoyed it!

Boy you people get your panties in a wad just because Sarah is showing Alaska, that is ok, I have the same reaction when Celebs shove their political views down our throats during award shows. I guess now we are even. lol

:rotfl2: That says it better than I could.

No, I have not and will not. To quote my dear departed father, "I'd rather have a sore d***".

It saddens me for Alaska that people are immediately associating their state with her. I cringe listening to her in the ads for this show - she comes off as so fake to me and full of b.s..

NO thanks... I'm in the "I'd rather watch cheese grow mold" camp.

Can't stand the woman.

Holy cow, that's funny!! :lmao: BTW, I agree. :lmao:

Our family watched it, and very much enjoyed it. They are a great family with great morals.

I did not watch it. I completely forgot it was on, but probably would not have watched it, anyhow.

I agree with others about her voice. It's downright irritating. I did see the commercial for the show where she was in a canoe shouting in that irritating voice about tranquility. That, and the stuffy political office comment turned me right off.

I do have an interest in shows about nature, but not when they are in the form of paid political commercials disguised as entertainment. Now, Disney used to have some really nice nature movies way back when that were narrated by Rex Allen. Those I could watch over and over again.

I have it set to DVR. While there are other documentaries on the state of Alaska, I'd rather watch a show that entertains instead of puts me to sleep half way through.

As for who said her first job is a politician, actually it isn't, she QUIT her job as governer to pursue more imporant things, like selling books promoting herself.
