TL capacity closure!!

Anyone ever seen TL close due to reaching capacity before? They did on the 7th, wonder if it was miserable?

I think the main reason it hasn’t happened much, if at all, is that both water parks were typically open in the summer months when demand would be higher. Since the pandemic, I believe only one has been open at a time. Combine that with the extreme heat, and I am not surprised they hit capacity. I hope with the new complimentary water park tickets on check in day promotion that they go back to opening both water parks most of the year again, except for the coldest months when the annual maintenance was typically done. Otherwise this could happen more often.

I'm sure they could figure that out if they really wanted to.

Speculation on my part is that they need more employees for both parks to open (lifeguards were initially quite difficult positions to fill). Not excusing it but have definitely read that finding employees who want to work those entry-level jobs in FL is difficult. But I certainly hope that with offering the free water park ticket on day of check-in they get it together and open both parks. Just sad...SMH

There’s a shortage of lifeguards throughout Florida. Some beaches have reduced staffing. Young people are not as interested as they used to be to sit in ever increasing heat for, in many cases, not enough pay.

I remember a bunch of times either BB or typhoon lagoon closed due to capacity when both were open. I don’t find TL closing due to capacity anything odd. Im more surprised with only one park open it hasn’t closed more often.
