I am hoping that someone has the Beachcomber Shacks locations and Shack number. Thanks.

Also following! Would love to splurge for a Typhoon Lagoon Beachcomber shack this summer. Phone lines are always 2 hours plus, Typhoon lagoon direct number just bounces you back to the Parks line, and DVC doesn't seem to have even the basic information regarding the 3 different types (6 person, 8 person, Premium plus). Everything I've read seems to indicate that you can't request a specific numbered shack--Does anyone know if this is true? I was told that "experiences" like this can't be booked until the 60 day window--True as well? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Have a great one!

I booked the Beachcomber shack for two days in May. I requested the area that I would like to have. I don't know the numbers of the shacks so was unable to request a specific one. I was not told that there is a difference in the type of shacks. I believe it was approximately $362 for six people. We will be 10 + 2 infants. It is $25.00 per person for the additional 4. I think the CM would have mentioned that there is an eight person shack due to the size of our group.

Thank you very much Halle! The Typhoon Lagoon website lists a standard shack seating up to 6, a premium shack with seating up to 8, and a premium plus with seating up to 6 and having other amenities. A few people have mentioned the premium plus shacks but nobody has mentioned 6 vs 8 seating. When I called DVC (since I couldn't get through to the WDW PLAY number), they had very few answers and told me only one flat price. I've heard of the $25/person cost and hope that would include seating! I am also traveling with a group of 12 and was hoping to get a shack plus a nearby umbrella with chairs--I think these exist to the right of the Wavepool. I noticed the ones by the lazy river are real close to one another and surround a large area of umbrellas--would rather be spread apart with a view of the wave pool. Would love to see a picture of the one you booked if you get a chance to take a photo of it, as well as your thoughts on location. Also, did you book through the 407-WDW-PLAY number? Thanks and have a great trip!

I don't think there is seating to accommodate the extra people that you add. We have rented Polar Patios numerous times at BB and extra seating was not provided.
At BB we were a party of 16, 8 adults and 8 children, we had to rent 2 Polar Patios and pay the additional $25 per person. Infants are free. I don't know if both water parks have the same rules but I thought this might be of help to you. The phone number I called was 407-939-7529. I received the message that they weren't able to take my call and to call back later. This happened to me numerous times over a three day period. When I finally got through the message was that the wait time was over two hours. I waited it out and it was a little over 2 hours.

Thanks again for the info Halle! I will attempt to book my shack at 60 days out. Still hoping I can find answers to my other questions on the DisBoards before then: Can we request a certain shack? Does anyone have a map showing them all numbered? If can't request a specific one ahead of time, can we arrive before park opening to do so?

Thanks GADisneyDad14! Your posts have definitly been the most informative when it comes to the questions I have. I saw a video on YouTube which showed one of the shacks near the wave pool a year or so ago which had what looked like a single umbrella set up next to it which would be perfect for my large family. Trying to rent that specific one, but haven't reached a cast member yet who 1) knows the basic information on the Typhoon Lagoon website and 2) can offer me any suggestions on how to request that specific cabana. I feel if I could talk with someone who actually works at the waterpark (in the hut that rents them out day of!), I could get the answers I seek, but even the direct TL number bounces you to the main line. I just don't want to end up in the position of arriving at the park, just to find out that someone else miraculously booked that one before me.:)

Yeah, finding people on the phone that actually know the shack details is really frustrating. I don't think they are trained well at all when it comes to the options.

You can't rent specific shacks but in my experience, you can make a request for a shack # or location, but it's just a request and no guarantees. I have had inconsistent results with that request actually getting to anyone on the ground that day, so just keep expectations low/managed.

My suggestion would be to plan to get to TL 45-60 minutes before opening. At some point they'll start letting people in the park. Go straight to High 'N Dry (I think that's the name of the place where rentals are handled) - there you'll find the only true keepers of shack/umbrella knowledge. They'll have your shack #, a map, etc - so if you need to make any changes (if they can be accomodated) - that's your chance. The earlier you arrive the better, in my humble opinion, even if it means some time spent just sitting around waiting.

Good luck - would love to hear how it goes when you get back.

Again, Thank you! I'll give an update after we go so others may have an easier time doing this. Have a great one!

Another question for you GADisneyDad14, I ran across an older post of yours from 2018 on the "Umbrella Rentals at Typhoon Lagoon" thread where you mentioned "I had a cabana in that area and there was an umbrella right in front of my cabana. You had to manually latch / re-latch a rope going in to / out of that area." That sounds like the exact cabana and umbrella combination I was hoping to rent! Do you recall the number of the beachcomber shack you had on that trip?

Hi there, sorry for the delay in responding.

I wish I had better notes/pics/memory on this.

It was this one below, which I “think” is 9. Or at least it was at the time. Don’t take that as absolute fact since my memory is fuzzy.

Maybe see if you can do a search of posts by me with the word “shack” and see if I ever posted more specifics?

Hope that helps!

Thanks again for the info and wonderful picture! I did the search, found a post where you mentioned #9, and played with google earth to get a better idea what I was looking for. All that's left is the hope they honor my request for the specific shack--I really don't understand why the wouldn't, but I've read quite a few posts from people saying that they didn't get what they hoped for. Have a great one and thanks for giving me some peace of mind with your informative posts!
