Hi Guys, yes once again I have become MIA. Listen, original TK'ers back in the first thread I shared my chili recipe with a few of you. If any of you have it could you send it to me or if you are on FB just message or email me. Can't find the cookbook, which has the baseline I follow and I need to make a huge batch! Thanks and after Election day I am going to play catch up and come back. Hope everyone is well:goodvibes.

I emailed Racer...she probably has it. Or maybe Dreamin' has it. :confused3 I found one from Bopsmom but not yours...it must have been too hard for me! :lmao: If you post it again, I promise to save it!

Ooh...chili sounds so good right now. Don't have any of the ingredients though.

I'll have to check out the Schwan's man! I knew my girls would come through with great ideas for me!

Happy Birthday Walter, the cutest little guy in the world!

Ok, so how do I know when its Halloween here? Hmm...:confused3

(Hugs) LITC! I'm so touched that you haven't erased me!

Target tends to mark down their stuff on Tuesday mornings...I'll be heading there for Halloween stuff! It looks like my carry-on will be full of candy!

Check w/ your local municipality (sp?) or local paper. They will tell you the times for TorT. If your town has a website, it may say it there. Hope you didn't miss it.

Happy 4 weeks baby Walter!!!! party:

Hello everyone, Baby Walter was reading all the birthday wishes with me, and leaned over and "kissed" aka sucked on my hand, I think that was a big kiss for all the well wishes!!! Oh and in my sleep deprived state I early wrote that he will be 4 weeks, when in fact it is 8 weeks!!! OMG!!

Oh no, no new posts since I was last here again! I hope I am not becoming a jinx. Well, here are some new pics for everyone...

LITC, how can you stand all that cuteness? OMG, Walter gets more and more personality every time I see him!

I'm checking out the Schwan's website and its perfect! I'm going to load BF's freezer right up! Thanks so much!

I guess Halloween WASN'T tonight...didn't see any costumes walking around.

Hey Kitty, Well the cuteness sure is pretty tough to take, yet SO worth it!
He really is beginning to smile more, and he follows things with his eyes! He's super smart. I think he is up around 12 pounds now, as I weighed myself without and with him today. I will post a better update after his dr appointment on Thursday-but you may not get to see that one.

Just look at this sweetheart! You can just tell he's getting older! You'll have to take his picture as he grows and Winnie doesn't!

I had 27 kiddies. Most were younger too. There was a home football game (high school about 3 blocks away) so the older kids must have been there. I did turn off the lights at 7. Not too many in my block give out candy. There were lots of little fairies and several transformers.

Isn't it cool to give out candy on Halloween!? I go with my sisters kids every year. Tradition. We will be taking Walter out for maybe a few houses as well. We tried on his costume today. The "hood" is a bit big but despite that he looks SOOOOOO cute!!!! I will post pics soon.

I have candy, but don't know what time I'll be back tomorrow evening. I'm hoping to get a trick or treater come to the door. I don't exactly have a good record of little ones visiting my house. It may be because I have a big dog that everyone knows about...but I don't keep him out on the porch or anything! Regardless, I made sure to get candy that I like just in case....

Good evening ladies!

Walter is such a cutie! I miss having a baby around the house to snuggle. I don't miss the late night feedings and poopy diapers but holding that little bundle in my arms I do miss.

Trick-or-Treat is tomorrow for us. DH is taking the kids out while I volunteer from 5PM to 8PM at the PTO's Halloween Fest. I will be in charge of the Bean Bag Toss game. DH might bring the kids down but it all depends on how tired they are after T-or-T. The Festival is free but there is a charge for food and drinks if you want them.

Went to DS8 school today for his Halloween parade. This parade has been going on for a very long time. I was in it when I went to the Elementary school. The kids dress up and walk through town and then back to the school. The shop owners and banks give out treats for the kids and then the kids have a party once they get back to school. I have to share a little funny that isn't related to the kids. Last year, one of the kid's parents who is a photographer was taking pictures of his son and the other kids right before the parade. He misjudged his step and fell down the stairs that are located in the front of the school. I think there are 5 or 6 stairs. Well, I went to the school today as I mentioned above and had to walk up those stairs to get to the building. Someone had drawn an outline of a body in chalk at the bottom of the stairs along with an outline of a camera! :lmao:To Freakin Funny! The man saw this and had a good sense of humor about. Oh man! I'm still chuckling about it!

It is rather funny that I happened to have M&M's and several Snickers left! The Milky Ways are gone! :confused3 Maybe it's because I closed my door after only an hour---or maybe it's because the M&M's were on the bottom--it could partly be because I 'forgot' to put all the Snickers in the Mickey head! :lmao: I am taking 'most' of the leftovers to Mom's...

When I first started posting on here I use to think of you as M&M!

That's hilarious! At least he has a sense of humor!

Happy Halloween everyone! There was a Halloween parade in town this afternoon, and apparently the kids were supposed to go trick or treating after that. I guess I missed all the festivities?

I'm drowning my sorrow in vanilla chai and trying desperately to ignore the call of a maple donut.

I have a few days to get my act together and pack. Grr...too much stuff! I keep trying to convince myself that I can survive on a few pairs of shorts, some tees, and some nice things for Church...its the shoes! And the sunblock! And the hat and bathing suits! Ack! I also feel guilt because the less of my stuff I bring, the more stuff I can bring for others....I'll try to pack again later...

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday and a spooky Halloween!

Pikester- That story was hilarious. :rotfl2:
MagiKitty- You do need to bring something to wear. ;)
LITC- Baby Walter :cloud9: We still have the teddy bear that was the same size as my DD. It sure looks small now. :rotfl:

Ok, so I have a really freaky yet entertaining story to share about my stupidity.

While at Millionaire, I'm sitting in the audience and no one is talking to me. What do I do? I start fidgeting with my face and discover a horrific zit on my jawline. Of course, its calling out to me, a challenge...I start monkeying my face. What else do I have to do?

(I know this is so gross, but I know y'all have done it too at some point).

Finally I beat the bugger and am dismayed DISMAYED that my zit has somehow produced a sesame seed.

Ok, so I am not a tree and producing seeds, but it was this little nasty bit that reminded me of a sesame seed. So I'm freaking out (and now bleeding profusely) and asking myself how I can form such a monstrosity in my 30s! I didn't even have acne in my teens!

Well, duh. I just figured it out. I fell asleep with some St. Ives apricot scrub on my face a few nights ago. I tried to wash it off as best I could when I realized it. I think that somehow my skin had absorbed some apricot scrub and formed a comedone. Nasty.

Lesson learned, though. Don't put fruit on your face and fall asleep. You'll become a tree.
