Good morning ladies! Happy Friday...

So, since I don't have children, what's the Halloween protocol? Is it for tomorrow? Is it still after dark? Or since its Saturday, do they trick-or-treat early? I'm a little confused...

The boys bounced back last night. Isn't it exciting M&N? I do hope its a 7 game series...

Ok, I need some suggestions. Since I'm leaving on Thursday, I'd like to order some food to send to BF while I'm away. He's a terrible eater and lazy. Does anyone know of any good websites for food gifts? I've sent him Omaha Steaks before and he liked that. It was real food and a real meal. I'm thinking of that again, but if anyone has any other websites that they'd recommend, I'd really appreciate it....

Kitty: QVC had that exercise guy with the long hair that comes out the back of his cap...can't remember his name. He had bison burgers and it looked like hot dogs on yesterday when I channel surfed. Maybe check QVC's site. You are too good to BF!

Ooh thanks M&N! I didn't even think of QVC (sorry, lighttech). I'll have to check it out. I may be good to BF (thank you) but its completely selfish. I want him to eat well and be healthy so I can drive him crazy forever!

I made him watch the 6-8th innings with me last night. He just likes my version of the baseball commentary..."cute guy comes up to bat, leans over, looks like he's be a nice person, he swings! It goes past first base...run other cute guy, run!"

TGIF ladies:

Well I sent DS to school today...his cough isn't getting worse and he hasn't got a fever like DD. So I only have DD and DH home today. They decided to have a catch up day at the high school today...I guess to many kids are coming in sick because they are afraid of falling behind, so they are not teaching anything new today hoping that the kids stay home and get better.

M&N ~ I was hoping to get the shot but they are already running short here...according to the news they have ask Glasco for a special shot for pregnant ladies but in order to do that the company is now behind in producing the regular shot.

congrats MK on being back in the Millionaire pool. We're doing halloween on Sat here...starting at nightfall.

I just don't see how schools can keep up with all the sickness and the warning not to send sick kids to school. You know they come if sick. Glad your house is feeling better EV.

TOT night is tonight...6-8. I'm staying home. I only get around 20 but like to do it and fuss over the costumes.

Those burgers may have been on HSN but I just saw some goodies on QVC!

Magikitty, I don't know if they deliver by you, but have you looked into Schwan's? I've heard lots of good things about them and from looking at their website, it looks like they have a good variety of things.

Trick or treat is from 6-8 here too. We don't hand out candy because we all go out together.

Ev, lots of kids sick here too. My daughter said if you even sneeze in school right now, the teachers will send you to the nurses office.

I have seen Schwan trucks around here. They used to sponsor a NASCAR team!

Yeah for the Phillies..I always root against the Yankees.
It was 34 this morning when I walked the dog. Days like this is when I miss So Cal.

We're thinking of a very light shade of green for our kitchen too. We've been in our house 2.5 years now and still haven't painted all the rooms.

Good news! Yesterday I went down to the city---horrible day to do it with the rain and Times Square being prepped for the Yankees pep rally---to avenge myself on Millionaire! I had to re-audition as I had qualified for the Regis show via phone. So I arrived at ABC studios, lined up with everyone else. We were led into the studio and seated, then took the test. It was on scan-tron! It was like taking the SATs all over again. They took our answer sheets and then we sat through three tapings of the show. Pure torture! Afterwards, they announce those who had passed, and I did!
There were 8 of us that passed and after everyone left, we were taken to the back to be interviewed by the producers. They asked questions similar to the questionnaire I had to fill out in August...then they took my picture and had me sign all sorts of releases. They did tell me that I'd be in the contestant pool for 3 years, and they could call me at any time. I do hope they call, just not in the next month!

Yay!!! So happy you got called back and that you passed the test again! You'll have to keep us posted on when this show will air. They moved Millionaire to day time now in my area. Now I'll have to set the VCR (yes, we still use this) to tape the show. Hope you are not called while you are gone.

Hmm...maybe we need to work on a TKer calendar! I'll be away this month....you, Marie, and Pikester the first/second week of December....

I can do the calendar. Just PM me the dates you will be gone and I'll keep track of all the missing TKers.
I'll add me to the list of Dec. WDW visitors. We go Dec. 15th -20th.

Schwans will even deliver the food right to your freezer - INSIDE your house. A friend of mine has that each month. A little wierd for me, having a stranger have access to your house, but she's good w/ it. Kitty, that might be helpful to your BF.
Our TorT is on Sat. from 4-6pm. The town has a Halloween party in the afternoon, in the town square - pumpkin judging, fill the squad w/food, painting, food, etc. Very cool. OUr neighbors are having a bonfire after TorT and (get this>>>) we were INVITED this time.

Rainy day here. Temps up to 60 but VERY windy!
Kids are off of school for teacher in-service day.
Everyone is well for now, but the school is getting hit hard w/ lots of sick kids. Should make for an interesting TorT tomorrow.

Too late about the paw print. It was 28 this am! They say we may have a wet winter. Since it almost never rained last year I'm hoping for more snow.
We don't get trick or treaters. Sunday we'll head to Walmart for left over candy. No wonder I don't lose weight.

Afternoon ladies! Sorry I've been MIA as of late, but I've been way busy getting ready for my trip next week. Who's the resident secretary? I'm coming back late Dec 4th, so look for me sometime after that. I will try to get online as I am able to to check up on everyone!

Aside, Merideth Vierra is VERY nice. She's tiny and had the best pair of black patent leather Christian Laboutin shoes on! She's rather wrinkled but still absolutely gorgeous.

I'm just watching the Olympic Torch arriving in Victoria...the torch relay starts today and will be going all over the country. A childhood friend will be carrying it later in Dec when it goes through Ontario.
