Good morning all. Checking in. Maybe no news is good news! Still praying.

Off to work.

God bless

Chat later.

Hey Sukie. Hope work was good...

I have errands to run today, including getting bottled water. I'm going to Hershey's outlets! I have a coupon for the scrapbooking store. I did find a new bottle in the back of frige last night. I think I filled up my Brita pitcher last Friday and am afraid to use it now. At least I only brushed teeth 2 times in the bad water...

Prayers for Wendy's dad...

SOOOOOOOO sorry to leave you guys hanging!

No news IS good news. Apparently Dad went and had labwork done yesterday morning, and they said they would have results today or tomorrow. So they don't seem to think it is all that critical. Also, he has been having alot of nosebleeds, which would seem to say that the bleeding elsewhere is related to that, rather than the kidneys.

In any event, Dad and DSis both urged me to take the kids to Cape May as planned, so here we are. Usually we have wifi in the condo, but this year we don't I'm down at the pool right now--first chance I've had to get online. Cell phones are pretty useless in the condo too, but we can text. Go figure.

Spoke with Dad and DSis today. Dad saw the ENT this AM and had 2 big gobs of wax removed. He then proceded to ask DSis why on earth she was talking so loud!:lmao::lmao: Guess we've solved his hearing problem. still waiting for lab results, but he has not had any more bleeding, so things are looking pretty good. I am cautiously optimistic.

M&N, that is ridiculous about the water! You should have been notified immediately! Hope the situation is fixed soon.

Don't know when I will get online again. Assume all is well for now.

Thanks for all your prayers, etc. You guys really aRE the best!!

yeah! Wendy checked in...and Dad's doing okay too. Wonderful!

I am a compulsive ear cleaner. I probably clean more that I should, actually I know I do....but glad the wax is gone and the hearing is back!

Ok, just a warning....having some serious computer issues....windows is warning me that there's a hard drive issue. Pretty much been battling it all day, trying to decide if its worth it to try to fix it or ante up and get a new one. With vacation coming up, I don't really have a spare 1000 to hit up a new computer....if I disappear its due to to technical issues...

I'll try to be back!

I guess all those prayers and hugs worked! Was very happy to hear that Dad is doing great Wendy!

Magikitty: These darn computers just like to screw us over don't they!

Kids are back in school tomorrw! :woohoo:I can't believe I have a 6th grader and a 3rd grader. I am getting so old!

Racer - :banana:for Kyle winning but he shouldn't have won this week. I didn't pick him. :rotfl2:

Whgrn - :banana:for dad being home!!! That must be such a relief for you, the family and of course dad. :thumbsup2 Hope all continues to go well.

I know how disappointing it must be that DS isn't more appreciative. :hug:I've got that same thing here. However, mine destroyes everything he gets within days of getting it. So I have decided to just leave his room as is and strip it down to barely anything, until he learns how to care for his things. And when I say care I mean basic respect. Nothing fancy, cause I know he's a kid. When he leaves that room someday, we're going to have to rip out all the carpeting, sanitize it, and replace almost everything. :sad2: such a shame.

DL55 - Hope you are enjoying your cruise! :yay: Have a great time. :sail:

Marie - Many prayers for your friend. How sad. Good that you could be there for her even if you did have to call back.

LITC - I'm sending you sleep vibes.

If not for you than for the baby at least. Poor girl. I can so relate. Do you have a body pillow? I got one for my last 3 months of pregnancy and that seemed to help - somewhat. Also, being in a pool/water did WONDERS for me. Took all that weight off my body for a while and I felt SOOOO GOOOD when I got out. I had signed up for Aqua Natal classes where all us preggos got together 2x per week and did exercises in the pool. It was great. That really helped me feel good and it was not so stressful on my body or the baby. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday. :wave2:

D&D hey thanks for the sleep wishes, i do not have a body pillow--i have been shoving regular size ones here and there but i find them more annoying than anything.

Evening ladies! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Bopsmom...congrats and belated Happy Anniversary!

Marie....sorry to hear about your friend's situation. I'm avoiding all gaming on Facebook in general. Cannot afford to get addicted to anything else! I should also say that I should ALWAYS be on a diet. But dieting makes me cranky pants, and miserable in general. I try to eat well, and choose my bad stuff carefully!

There's a rumor (granted, that I started) about a September discount on BMG. Someone confirmed it, but they had received an email, one that I have not received yet. If I can get $30/pp tix, then BF and I are doing BMG, La Nouba, and MNSSHP!

Wendy, glad to hear Dad's home and already manning the grill! Mmm...rhubarb pie sounds wonderful! Sorry to hear about DS's attitude...maybe its the age? I'm not really good with boys. Sorry he's being ungrateful. I thought you did an amazing job on the room!

LITC...you poor dear. I'm sorry that you're swollen and can't sleep. Its hard work growing a baby! I guess you better name the baby something with an "M" if its coming out with one on its tummy. Do you have names yet?

Pikester....great job on the paperbacks and congrats on the new microwave! Wanna hear something crazy? My monstrosity of a microwave is nearly 25 years old! It must be some sort of health hazard by now. It was one of the first on the market....but he's still cooking!

Hello to everyone else! Tonight is the last night of Millionaire. I have to be ready for combat!

Oh, I stopped by the Racino yesterday. I had a postcard for $20 free play. I hit a jackpot and won nearly $300! Went straight into Disney fund. :woohoo:

Hey Kitty--Thanks for thinking of me, I feel like all I am doing right now is complaining but absolutly everything hurts right now. Hubby and I worked on names last night and we got the list narrowed down some so hopefully we can decide soon.

M&N, we are down to 100 days! Double digits tomorrow! YIPPEE!

LITC, I hope you get to rest some tonight. And no more nightmares!

whgrn, it is wonderful that your dad is home. That alone has got to make him feel so much better than being stuck in the hospital.
Wish you could send me some rain.
Too bad about DS. Teenagers can be so exasperating... and ungrateful.

BKMETV, that is pretty cool that we don't have to both be online to play wordscrapper. They are pretty smart thinkers! I got lucky on my first round so don't expect all my words to be so good.

D&DDisney, another ungrateful child, huh? Just think... their day will come when their own children get them back.

MagiKitty, good luck getting your discount tickets. Did you miss where I asked if you had gotten your La Nouba tixs? I read something about a discount if you want me to pass it along to you I can but I don't think it would not be as good as your $30/pp tix.
Good luck on your Millionaire.
Great job adding to your Disney fund!

DS had me watch "Tombstone" with him today. Not hardly along my Disney line but it was pretty good if you don't mind LOTS of bloodshed. Think I need to go watch something more heartwarming next. Anyone got any good suggestions for my next flick?

Hey marie--thankfully no more nightmares, hopefully it stays that way.

%&$*%^ just heard from Mom. Dad has started with blood in the urine. This could mean he will need dialysis NOW. (it could also just be from the heparin, aspirin and Plavix). He sees the kidney doctor at 9 am. They told him if it gets worse over night, to go to the ER, either near them or at U of PA. I asked him how much blood and he said "a considerable amount".
&^%#%

And Mom didn't refill her Xanax yet...

Please pray!

Wendy--hope all is much better soon.

Gonna run for the night everyone. Talk to you soon, hopefully with something positive to say for a change. :rolleyes1

LITC--Just 37 more days to go! That's getting closer all the time! Don't worry about complaining---baby can't help it's growing and kicking and gettin ready to come out for you to really have something to complain about---diapers, crying, diapers...:rotfl:

Wendy--Hope Cape May is rainfree this week. They don't seem to think the Hurricane--Danny--will cause trouble. (Unlike the real Danny's!)

Good morning...feeling kind of blah. Throat feels froggy and ear is half stuffed. Think it's allergies. I'm attacking my closet and bedroom today. I've got shoes all over the place. I'm going to put some clothes in those bags that get flat when you suck the air out. I just think I need to save some 'big' sizes. Probably should not but I cannot get rid of them all.

good morning! Bright and sunny today, but cooled down significantly. This is my kind a weather, sweater in the morning, tee in the afternoon.

Well, computer is still kinda kicking. Basically, its a ticking time bomb. I can use it until it dies. I ordered a new hard drive last night and I am prepared to to do the transplant once that time comes. I have to back up everything, but its mostly pictures and music, some programs. As long as my computer can be salvaged, it'll be fine.

Everything is made of junk these days. My DVD recorder is on the fritz too. Its about 2 years old. I opened it up last night to give it a good cleaning and hoped that would work. Nope. Trashing that bad boy later.

On the other hand, my nearly 30 year old microwave is still kicking and steaming. :rotfl:

Hey M&N...wanna do my closet for me too? I have way too many shoes---shoes always fit! Put your too big clothes to the side---out of site, out of mind. When you feel more comfortable about it, think of someone who will benefit from you giving your clothes away.

Hey LITC....complain all you want. I'm sure you're more than ready to feel comfortable again.

Hello from sunny Cape May, NJ! It's beautiful down here--not too hot, sunny and breezy. We went out for breakfast at Uncle Bill's Pancake House (a family favorite that we haven't been to in a few years). DD and I enjoyed some yummy Scrapple, and didn't even have to share with anyone else!:lmao: Last night we went up to the boardwalk in Wildwood and had lots of fun going on rides, eating boardwalk food (yummy sausage sandwich, Kohr Brothers custard (soft vanilla ice cream), funnel cake, lemonade) DD is getting braver with rides, even went on the sky ride, but we did the smallest roller coaster and she was NOT happy! Guess she's just not a roller coaster person...kind of like her Mom!

Dad's blood levels are better than they have been in months! He is feeling good and may even go play some golf this afternoon. We are all looking forward to our family getaway this weekend. DSis found a bakery up there that will make a small cake decorated like a wedding cake!

Wendy--Hope Cape May is rainfree this week. They don't seem to think the Hurricane--Danny--will cause trouble. (Unlike the real Danny's!)

We have actually started calling DS "Hurricane Danny"!!:rotfl2: He is not amused. I somehow forgot his meds yesterday morning and we all paid for it the entire day. You can bet your boots I did NOT forget today!

All you closet cleaners can come converge at my mom's house and help me clean out her closets. She has 3 extra closets full of clothes from my grandmother, who was a size 12 and died in 1981, and of her own stuff from the past 30 years, most of which is hopelessly out dated and way too small. But will she part with any of it? No way! We need to put her on "Clean Sweep"!!:lmao:

LITC, I hope you can get at least reasonably comfortable. Don't want to spend the next 6 weeks miserable!

Shore envy! Shore envy! Uncle Bills is one of my fav places--Pecan/banana pancakes---YUM! Kohr Bro ice cream---I have orange/van or banana! YUM! At least you didn't have Johnson's caramel corn! Then I would have been very jealous! You deserve a great time. So glad Dad's blood work is good...but after all you had us TKers praying for him. Try telling your mom that there a lot of people who need clothes and the ones she's not wearing would be put to good use. I did give some of mine to a church who sells things for a quarter to $1 to the people in their city neighborhood. My friend runs the closet. Some of my clothes I'm just afraid to get rid of...I know I'm a yo-yo weight person...but then I simply cannot gain it again. I can't count the times I lost some and gained more back! I have some pants 2 sizes down but that's about it.

Kitty---I think that's why I have a lot of shoes...they fit! Now I have a hard time finding nonsneaker shoes. I have sandal like dress shoes even for winter. And you should see all the socks I have---holiday ones too. But they will fit no matter.

I did sneeze 2 times while driving but feel ok now...I am tired after exercising though. They showed me some machines so I skipped the treadmill today.
Good news---I got a recorded message saying we can drink the water now. :yay: Too bad they didn't do one for NOT drinking the water. I'm sure they got lots of flack over that.

Wendy--so great to see a post full of great news from you!! Sounds like you are havaing a wonderful time, ,maybe my family should take a vacation like that one day. Sounds awesome. And DD should be proud of herself for trying, now she knows whether or not she liked it and never has to have second thoughts.

Also congrats on dad. Your whole family must be relieved. And the mini cake sounds way cool.

Sounds like your mom would NOT like me at all, I would get in there and be lilke going, going, gone!!!!!! Especially things that old (like your grandmothers)

Oops, also M&N hope you are feeling better soon. My DH has been complaining of the same types of symptoms the last few days. Must be something in the air.

Wow! Very quiet on here today.

Kids had their first day of school today. From what they told me when they got home it was a great one.:thumbsup2

I was chatting with a former member of the PTO that I had become friendly with and I finally was able to confirm with her that she is a member of the DIS. I had seen her around in the NH thread and I had seen different things mentioned that clued me into it being her. Be warned..the DIS is everywhere!

whgrn: Sounds like you and the family are having a great time! Keep enjoying yourselves, you deserve it!

LITC: Little LITC will be coming soon. I can't remember, do you know the sex?

Magikitty: You are so right about stuff being made of junk! It's not just electronics either. Clothes are made so shabby that they fall apart pretty easily. I remember when I worked in retail and almost never had to send an item back because it was defective. As I got toward the end of my 9 yrs of working at a particular store we had one person devoted to sending defective stuff back every week. I remember getting a whole order of pants from a company that had those little red arrow sticker on them that pointed out defects. Why send them when they were all defective?:confused3

M&N: Yay for being able to drink the water! We had a no boil order in my town once during the hotest weekend of the year and the PTO was sponsoring a running race. We made sure to get water from someone who had their own well and not town water. What a PITA that was!

Hope everyone is having a good night!

Good morning. I guess us east coasters are getting a little wet from Danny. Not too much here.

Thanks for the quick hello Pepper...if you want to be quicker next time just say HI! It's the thought that counts!

There's nothing going on here this weekend. Same old grocery shopping. Someone gave me Dear John by Sparks to read so that should keep me busy. There's no Jr to watch this weekend. Bobby Mercer is at Hershey so I may go.

Have a great weekend...

Finally have a day off of work/school. Been so busy getting ready for the kids to come back. Presentation on Pig Virus went well. Trying to teach people to be smart about it w/o panic is not easy. We're more concerned w/ kids that have underlying health issues. Those are the ones we will be most concerned about getting it.
My kids go back to school on Tues. Today, we get to go to school to find out who their teachers will be. It is posted on the front doors of school so I'm sure there will be lines of parents there this morning. Some parents are so anal about which teacher their kids get. Sheesh!!!! Chill out! Your kids have to learn to get along w/ many people in life and you can't pick your boss. Sometimes the toughest teachers are the best! Keeps 'em in line. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the prayers and good wishes for Dad.

I hate to think of them spending their 50th anniversary in a hospital.
Glad your dad is okay. Hope all continues to go well.
Regardless of where they spend their 50th at least they will be together. That's all that counts!:thumbsup2

I went for my bloodwork and they did not have me down. Was I sure it was for there? I said I made two at the same time. My next appointment in the computer was in Sept---yeah, for the results of today's tests! The lady is the one who figured out the 2 weeks to make the Sept one. I was very nice and they were too...fit me in about 45 min later. They had to get the orders too. It wasn't a big deal but I do need to eat sometime...lunch is coming up...not supposed to skip any meals...throws off the sugar making...I also took my own test to check what my monitor says against what the real lab work says. They told me to do that at the classes I took.

Have a good day. I'm going to lunch with the friend who retired when I did. Then I'm going to the local fair with another friend. I was going to try and get to the fitness center. The girl there said she would show me some new machines...busy-busy-busy! No house work for me today! :woohoo:
Glad tests went well. Hope you had fun at the fair.

D&D---How was the pig report?
8.gif

YUCK! They just said not to brush teeth with the water! I guess I'll have to use my coke tonight! I have no water I know is safe...I guess I need to boil some! I can do that without burning it!
:rotfl2::rotfl2: Could you at least use 7-up??? That really stinks about the water advisory. We had those here a few times. I always try to keep some bottled H20 on hand for weather emergencies.

Hey everyone! Just a quick hello. :-)
Hi Pepper! What ya been doing??? Besides playing Farmville????:lmao:

Hi Marie, Pikester, Ev, Sukie & Kitty!

Kitty - Those are some awsome deals you got. :worship: Teach me oh Master!!!!:thumbsup2

Hey everyone!

OMG I am so addicted to Farmville. Gotta just walk away man!

My home computer is so slow lately that I was barely able to get the quick hello out last night ha ha.

Oh, did two of you friend me on Facebook this morning? I have two names I don't recognize and then I thought maybe it was you guys.

D&D---I totally agree with what you said:Sometimes the toughest teachers are the best! Keeps 'em in line. Unfortunately, not many parents do think that way. I'm sure you are going to have some wonderful stories to tell about parents and their perfect kids!

Hey Pepper: I'm one of the few people not on facebook I guess. When I do cave in, I will definitely befriend you though. If you'll have me!
