Disney54us...you made such a good point about recent violence. That shooting upstate? In Binghamton, where my nephew had his incident. They were all Asian males, which makes me think (I am Asian, so this isn't really racist I don't think) that the Asian culture and its emphasis on success may be too much for these young men. In general, there is such a stigma to mental illness that people are reluctant to seek help.

I too am adding my name to the petition to please bring Racer back to the Dis. I have had the privelege of meeting Racher and her wonderful family and truly can say that she is one of the kindest souls I've met, both in virtual and real life. She is an integral part to this thread, and someone whose support
and advice I seek and value. I do hope that her overall contributions to not only this thread but the Dis overall will be taken into account and weighed versus some posts that may have been deemed unseemly.

disney54us, I didn't really cry but it was a very, very sweet message. Sign me up for the bring Racer back campaign too! Here's hoping that we are through with the sad stuff around here for a while and start getting on with the good stuff.
I think that is great that your DH likes the Disney channel. My DD thinks she is getting a huge treat when we are on vacation and she gets to watch the Disney channel. As I mentioned, we hardly watch any tv, mainly videos and dvds from our humongous collection.

Kitty, you may have a point that perhaps those men have a lot of stress to be successful but they still do not need to come over here and be trying to kill people. With trying to gain success comes some responsibility. Obeying our laws is certainly one of them! As for the mental illness thing... sad to say that I have been around a few people that had those sort of problems. They might be reluctant to seek help if they realize they even have a problem but I don't think most of them even understand that they do.

So glad to check in and hear that everyone's family that has been sick/injured is doing better today.:yay:
Hey Bopsmom how are you? So catch me up, you are going back to teaching? Full time or Sub? School starts here on the 9th, Some Public are starting on the 2nd, some are waiting till after Labor Day even though its late this year.
I'm a free agent this year. :woohoo:
School starts the 24th.
We have a new schedule that only gives us Wed,Thur,Fri for Thanksgiving but, has the kids finish their finals BEFORE the Winter break....much better I think. I have already started looking for NYC during Spring Break but the Hotel doesn't have any openings.

We went to DD's orientation I had so many 'good' teachers want my number so I could sub for them. It's nice to be wanted.
I just hate that the secretary in charge of assignments screws the subs over (even me).
You 'book' your assignment over the computer or via the phone, you are given a job number but when you show up for work the secretary has given the job to one of her "favs" or someone who will 'give' her some sort of bribe.
Last year she wanted DH to write a letter to his college for her son whom he'd never met.(DH is president of the alumni club here(off and on for 17 years) and well known in Columbus), she wanted free football tickets for her family(from our Texan season tickets) and she wanted me to cook lunches for her. :confused3 I told her that I didn't play that way. So my job assignments got worse and worse-finally ending up to where I got assulted, this was part of her "punishment".
I told a teacher/friend there that if they wanted me they'd better look into this practice.
Bopsmom I'm glad you rescued the baby rabbit. :) Of course I don't have a garden near by either.
I'm lucky my DH doesn't go to expos just club demonstrations at the golf course.
DD wanted to keep that bunny sooooo bad. Wink would have eaten it in a second.
DH is from Ohio. I've done more hunting in my life than he has:rotfl:

Only a week to go until I head off to Alaska! :woohoo:

:dance3::yay::dance3:about the trip. My IL's went to Alaska for their 50th and loved it. You will need to post us some pictures/tr when you return.

Add me to the BRING BACK RACETRACK club! She has been an integral part of this group and we NEED her right now, more than ever!!

I think Maxine says it pretty good...

maxine1.jpg

Actually, I don't smoke anymore and I don't take Prozac....yet. Still just the sort of things you need to get going in the morning.

Bopsmom, I imagine everything about teaching is sorta love-hate. Love the kids, well most of the time, and love making a difference in their lives. Also gotta love making good friends and feeling appreciated by the ones that "want" you. BUT then there are the horse's patootie's that you run into like the secretary you speak of. Guess it's that way with most any job though. Hang in there!

Morning to you too, whgrn. How's things in your world this morning?

Blessings to all! Have a great day!

It is not being racist, you are Asian but for those of us who are not there are cultural differences and we in America always hear how our students fall below those in Asian countries etc. But one has to wonder at what cost? Also in many cultures mental health issues are ignored b/c in their culture it would be considered a embarrassment. That was the case in the VT shooter case.

No not my DH, though he can hum the tune to Suite LIfe:rotfl:, my DS is still young enough to like Dis Channel.

Mmm, nice Sec.;) that is ridiculous she might as well have been asking you for a payoff for a good sub assignment!!

Wish I was good with siggie stuff and we could all come up with something. Good Day to you Lady Wendy, hows Dad?

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:very funny!

Bopsmom...that is atrocious about the mean secretary! She totally is abusing her power...and the students are paying for it! Has anyone brought this to the administrations attention? Oh! Just gets me so angry thinking about selfish and mean people!

Marie, that Maxine cartoon is spot on. I need caffeine, a comfy pair of shoes and access to antacids/Tylenol, laptop and cell phone, and I am ready to go!

Getting back to normal. Planning my trip again. With the last few days, I am so gung-ho about enjoying life to its fullest (within budget, of course). Went through the multitude of rental car ressies, and have it narrowed down to three at the moment. Cancelled the rest. No new promos for BMG, so its looking like La Nouba and MNSSHP for us! Would still like to get tix to BMG for BF, he actually enjoyed something, but just being able to be together on vacation is all I really want. Not worrying about dinner reservations, staying at a value, or hurricane season. Just want to be happy and laugh.

You what gets to me, some of these School Secretaries think they run the school:confused3. DS had one like that at his school this past year, she was not the most pleasant, she has been there 4evr and there was something that was to go out in the 'weekly envelope' at the begining of the year about the PTG selling mums on back to school night. This was cleared through the Principal, it never went home. Why? when she was asked, b/c she decided to get approval from the Supt. of the district:upsidedow. This was something that was already approved by the school Principal, who is running the school?
Glad to hear you are spending some fun time finalizing plans for your trip. Hey did you guys hear that there is a new restaurant where Spoodles was? Just found that out, I really enjoyed Spoodles I wonder what happened.

Happy Sunday All,

We went out shopping for school shoes for the kids. :scared1: My goodness are they expensive. Of course, now that they are older, those bargain Target shoes won't do. :headache: Luckily Penny's was having a sale on name brand shoes and we got buy 1 pair get another for $1.:cheer2:

I see Disney54us has stepped up and is now helping us boost our page count. Thanks for writing the letter. I agree we need Racer back. However, until then, you can take her place? Know anything about Nascar and talking Track Smack???? :rotfl2: I miss her. :sad1:

DL55 - on the upcoming cruise. My neighbors went there last summer and said it was beautiful. Take lots of pics so we can live vicariously through you.

Kitty - So glad DN has come home and is doing better. :yay: Please keep us updated.
:yay: for planning your upcoming trip. I hope those tropical storms don't bother your vacation.

Whgrn: Glad to hear dad is tolerating the meds well. Good luck tomorrow!

Hello Pepper! :wave2: See I am not ignoring you. :rotfl2:

disney54us...I read about the new restaurant. I never got to eat at Spoodles, and now I never will! The new restaurant is supposed to be run by Kat Kora and is a Greek-inspired menu, I think. Something totally up my alley! I'm not really a fan of Kat Kora, she does nothing for me on Iron Chef. I'm waiting to see some reviews when it opens soon.

Hi D&D! Glad you found success on the school shoe front. Its so hard being a stylish kid these days! The media totally panders to them. I feel like an old fuddy duddy when I shop with my niece and nephew. I'm like "what's the big deal about Abercrombie?" and they're like "its just COOL". What's cool about it? Tried to buy sneakers with JR and he was looking at old school Nike fluorescent high tops! I told him that what I wore in the 80s! I just should have saved mine!

:rotfl2::lmao:Well someone has to keep the page count going. Mmm, Nascar When my Dniece live w/me I knew a bit more she was a Jr. fan it was all about her wanting to marry him:rotfl2:I like what's his face? #48 so does DS thats about all I can add:confused3.
Glad you made out okay on the shoe/school front, yes when they get older they just won't go for those target/payless knock offs:confused3.

Okay, Kat Kora:confused3 please do explain. I did read that and had no clue, surprise:laughing:. Spoodles was really great, if you go on the Dis recipe thread they have many recipes from there. It always seemed to be a popular place, so why is it gone????????? Guess you can tell I don't adjust well to change.

DL, sorry I haven't commented on your upcoming cruise. So exciting, I would love to do a Alaskan cruise, never met anyone who has and was not completely thrilled with the experience:goodvibes. Take tons of pic's we do expect to see them posted.

A Jimmie Johnson fan???? Now that will make things interesting. :rolleyes2

Spoodles is gone?!?!?!? Major bummer--i loved that place! Not sure how I feel about Greek...

That secretary needs a kick in the pants--right out the door! The prinicipal needs to be told about what she is doing. Any self respecting principal will not tolerate that carp in her building!

Went to see Dad this AM. His brother and my cousin showed up the same time as we did, and we all had a nice visit. Dad is doing great, they even let him take a shower today. He seems like his old self. Tomorrow we're all off to Philadelphia. NOT my favorite city, and a pain to drive to, but that's where we have to go.

The good news, my sister is coming home! She had planned to come back next week to surprise us all for Mom and Dad's 50th, but now she is changing her flights so she can come this Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully she can get a flight into Philly, so i can just run down and pick her up from the hospital. JFK would be a haul from there!

DD saw DS's room for the first time. She said "WOW!!! I want this room!" (and she's a YANKEES fan!):lmao:

OMG...it took well over an hour but I've finally caught up. Went away for a few days and then just got waylaid by life and look what I missed.

Good morning to you all!

I would like to share a "stupid moment" that happened to me this morning. At about 9:00am I decided to go for my 30 minute walk that I've been trying to do atleast 4 days a week. I decided that I would leave the kids home as long as they could behave themselves. No sooner did I get "Sure Mom, well be fine" then they were at each other. Fine! I yelled at DS8 to go change his clothes and get in the car. I grabbed my purse, water bottle and keys, headed out to the car, got in, started up the van, put it in reverse, stepped on the gas and....BAM!!!!

It seems I forgot to open the garage door!

Van looks OK(a couple of spots where the white paint rubbed off from the door to the van, a small hole in the bumper where a screw from the door went in it) but the garage door is not. I broke a pane of glass and splintered atleast two panals of the wooden door. I called DH at work to tell him what happened and he was very calm about it; thank goodness. He plans to come home early to see the damage.

So, how is everyone else's day going so far?

:lmao: thanks I needed that laugh...I once backed into a pub, but DH wasn't quite so understanding since I have taken so many advanced driving course through my career apparently I'm not allowed to hit anything. :confused3

Talk about stupid things we've done. When I left for Scotland, I put all my unneeded cards in a bowl on the counter, under some other stuff. When I came home Saturday, I put them back in my wallet--store cards, additonal credit card, etc. I saw a green TD bank card that said VISA, and thought, oh my new ATM card (my bank recently switched from Commerce to TDBank, and from blue to green). OK, so I put that in too, and figured I may as well shred the old card (the one I had taken to Scotland). Card shredded, I went on my merry way.
Well DUH! No wonder it wouldn't work in the ATMs!!!!! Fortunately, he was able to make me a new ATM card on the spot. And guess what? It's green! Now I will be really confused!!!:rotfl2:

Thanks for supporting our Canadian Banks...you'll have to come to Toronto sometime and use one of the "Green Machines", the TD's ATMs.

Wendy - Bagpipes??? Are you crazy??? Thanks for the great pics.

Dear Friends,

My wonderful boy was nearly taken from us today. My older nephew was woken up this morning, 3am, by his roommate standing over his bed and asking for forgiveness. He then proceeded to stab my nephew several times, including the heart and lungs. Somehow, with God's blessings, my nephew fought off the roommate and managed to lock the door to keep him out. The police arrived shortly thereafter, found and arrested the roommate outside the house. They then went upstairs to find the locked door, and found my nephew unconscious.

He's had surgery for repairs and and is now breathing on his own. Even managing to complain that he's hungry, although he won't be allowed to eat until tomorrow.

And while I am so so thankful to God for sparing my nephew, I cannot shake this blackness in my heart, this hatred of this man who befriended my boy and then tried to kill him while he was sleeping. I'm praying for strength to not let this dim the light in my life, to help me get past the disappointment I feel in people.

Please keep my darling boy in your prayers. He's expected to fully recover, but that is a while away. Hug yourselves for me please.

 Glad to hear that he is doing better.

Here's another tip of randomness: if you have an unlisted number, make sure the local police has it at the very least. When they took my nephew to the hospital, he had no ID on him, just his name and they weren't able to find his family. But they did find my number listed. The Binghamton police called my local police, and somehow, the police dispatcher knew my SIL and directed the call to their local police in the other town, who went to the house to inform my SIL of the incident.

 Again, many thanks for everything and everyone. I swear I can feel your strength and prayers. Today will be a better day. Everyone have a little laughter and joy in your lives. Life is so precious.

This is something I was given by an EMT friend:

The Vial of Life:
Take a sealable, waterproof plastic bottle (a vitamin or small peanut butter jar, etc), cover it in a bright wrapping, clearly mark it “The Vial of Life” and put it on the top shelf of your refrigerator door. Inside have a complete medical breakdown of all people living in your house (updating if conditions change):
Name
Health Card Number and Benefits Number
Birthdate (not age! The Vial could be in your fridge for years)
All medications, allergies, known medical conditions
Your blood type and average blood pressure
A brief medical history, including hospitalizations, etc.
Identifying marks, to confirm that the information is for the patient an EMT is working on
Any other relevant information that could prove vital to medical personnel
If EMTs are called to a home, they need immediate and reliable information. Children, friends, panicking co-residents can’t be expected to have comprehensive, relevant details or histories.
The first aid instructor noted that, when they’re called to a home where the patient is alone or with an uncertain second person, the second EMT often needs to snoop in the medicine cabinet, bedrooms or kitchen cupboard to discover any medications that might affect their treatment. A Vial of Life can
keep both EMTs’ attention focussed on the primary goal: the immediate medical care of the patient.
Why the fridge? It’s a big metal box that everyone has in the same room of every house, apartment,
cottage, boat, cabin.
This is an exceptional tool in homes where there are children, the elderly or single residents – that is, every home!

“ICE” your cell phone:
ICE stands for “In Case of Emergency”. Whether in your home or on the road, your cell phone
should have 1 or more listings of the most important people to call if you’re in distress. (Remember,
you may be unconscious.) Names – or even “Home” or “Work” – may not be the most important
people to contact, and an EMT doesn’t have the time to scroll your directory or make a lot of calls.
An ICE contact should be the most important number(s) to immediately contact a person(s) who
knows you and your conditions intimately or whom you trust to make immediate judgement calls
depending on your medical condition. “ICE1 – Spouse”, “ICE2 – Parent”, “ICE3 – Home” gives
EMTs quick access to the most important people.

We have one of "those" secretaries...I write the newsletter for the Home & School and she has taken it upon herself to 'edit' it for me...correcting grammar etc. My friends think this is a hoot since I have a degree in English. ;)

Hi to everyone else...I know there are several other things I should have commented on, including Racer's banishment & MK's big TV debut, but I better go break up my fighting children...I try to not get so far behind next time.

Dad has end-stage kidney disease, and needs a kidney transplant.

Today's update: kidneys tolerated the dye from the cardiac cath, and are functioning as well as before the test. The move to U of PA will be sometime Monday, and once they start the aspirin protocol, it will take 5-36 hours. Then they can do the stent (MAYBE Tuesday, more likely Wednesday) and he will be in for at least 24 hours after that. I am hoping he can come home Thursday, but time will tell.

Meanwhile, DD is home from camp!!!! Covered with bug bites, a little tan, and missing her friends from camp terribly already! Right now she is at BFF's house swimming and having dinner, so she is having fun. Mom and I are off to see Dad shortly.

Keeping your Dad in my Prayers.

So glad DD is home from camp (we are glad aren't we? lol)

So dear Mod/God's (I'm being cute not sarcastic), I would like to ask that you unban our dear friend Racer. If you are reading this thread you can see that we have had some horrific thinks happen in our little TK family recently. Racer a regular poster and let's face it kept the midnight oil burning on this thread is a part of our TK family. Go back and see how we have become so close that there was even a TK meet this summer with many from this thread.
I realize that there are Mod's for a reason, and I guess our friend should know better then to go into that big bad world outside of this thread, but she did. That world consist of threads that I have read that would make the nicest person have to speak up and scream SERIOUSLY????? Though on the CB if you want to ask a opinion and open a thread, why ask the virtual world if you can't take the answers. She did not curse etc. and the thread she posted on and after was banned had most posters having a oposing opinion and questioning the OP.
My decision to post this was based on seeing that a regular poster on the DVC boards recently was banned and it seems he has been unbanned. He posted today to thank the mod's and tell everyone he was back. Well if people think the CB can get opininated just start reading the DVC boards. Of course those with 22,000 post plus can ripe anyone apart and they are still the beloved DVC darlings. I think that rules are for all not a pick and choose thing. I read the thread that our friend was banned after posting, of course her post went poof but what I read most people had a negative reaction to what the OP was asking. I personally do not use the boards to have strangers direct my life or ask legal advice, but if someone does I would think they would be aware they are going to get differing opinions.
What bothers me is that when our banned friend Racer came on to post and found out she was banned she was coming on here to post her prayers and thoughts to our thread starter who had just let us know that her nephew had been stabbed by his college roomate six times. Yes this is a virtual world, through the TK thread we have become friends and have met and it is a time right now that we all need to lean on each other.

Add me to the bring back racer list. It seems banning was a bit harsh. We should have a "suspended" or a "cooling off period" on the DIS. We need our Racerchicky!!!

Gosh, disney54us. I was just thinking today how quiet it is without racer. Now you have went and just about brought me to tears.
cry.gif
What a wonderful friend you are to have written such a sweet note on her behalf. I have not been around quite as long as some of you but I already love you guys!

Mr Mom wasn't a total flop. Just kinda slow compared to some of the action packed stuff of the day. You could certainly tell it was dated. I wasn't too happy about watching the part where they took him to a club with male dancers in their manties with my DD watching. I suppose it was rather mild compared to some of the stuff they put on today. I guess that's why we don't watch much tv.

Mr. Mom...OMG, I totally forgot about that movie. Oldie but goodie

Smart $%^ (oops, I almost typed the word ha ha ha)

So, I have been writing again. I had not written since my Dad got sick. That is not why I hadn't written, but anyway, wish me luck I think I am going to try to finish my book.

I was already a couple of chapters in to a ghost story.

Thanks for the tips. Very good ones. I do have my cell phone ICEd. And have all the medical info on the kids posted on the fridge--but not mine. I will have to do that.

Hello everyone! I did read through and catch up but please forgive me for not quoting everyone as I am not feeling too well the last few days so I will just "rely" on my memory as best as I can.

Wendy-glad to hear that DD is home safe from camp and I hope your dad is feeling better soon.

I can NOT believe Race is gone. I do not understand exactly what happened--if there is a way to get her back please count me in. And if anyone has details please PM me, as I really dont understand what happened.

Pepper great to see you around here, I haven't been around too much lately I've just been busy growing little LITC!

Kitty--OMG I am still in shock after reading about what has happened to your family. Please keep us updated on his progess and I hope that justice is served. Also Kitty I want to THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the baby gift. I am so touched by your loving generosity. They will look so wonderful in the babies room. I am so glad I have met you and become a friend for life!

Hello to everyone else! :wave2: I swear I am not trying to inore anyone, just couldnt muster up the strength to remember everything!

A Jimmie Johnson fan???? Now that will make things interesting. :rolleyes2

:lmao:I guess thats so?????? Now I don't take this all to serious, just trying to fill in for our lost friend. I know she was a Kyle fan:confused3have no clue who he is except from reading stuff on here that he has a reputation for not being to nice:confused3. Again can't form a opinion have no idea!

Spoodles is gone?!?!?!? Major bummer--i loved that place! Not sure how I feel about Greek...

I know we always enjoyed Spoodles! When I told DH he kew who she was, I pulled up the menu on WDW's site. Seems like fun, but honestly was not overly excited seems they use cinnamon in many dishes. Just call me crazy but I prefer that in apple pie not w/steak or chops. I would maybe try it for breakfast that seemed more appealing. I could think of a few restaurants that could go, but I really liked Spoodles:sad2:.
Glad your sister was able to change flights, it helps to have a support system, and hopefully she will be able to fly into PHL. That would be a long haul. I remember when my GM passed away and she lived in LI it was over Good Friday and my DB was in the military stationed in Germany. He was able to get leave and he was suppose to come into FT Dix, so that was a long enough ride especially the LI Expressway on a holiday weekend. Get to FT Dix to find out that he was flown to Dover Air Force base in DE:scared1:. So I proceeded to go from Ft. Dix to Dover which I had never ventured down to DE in my short time of driving ( I think I was 18 at the time). Needless to say it was a very long long ride.

OMG...it took well over an hour but I've finally caught up. Went away for a few days and then just got waylaid by life and look what I missed.

:lmao: thanks I needed that laugh...I once backed into a pub, but DH wasn't quite so understanding since I have taken so many advanced driving course through my career apparently I'm not allowed to hit anything. :confused3

Thanks for supporting our Canadian Banks...you'll have to come to Toronto sometime and use one of the "Green Machines", the TD's ATMs.

Hey Ev how are you????? That is good advice, you always want to think that you would be around if something happened to your kids and can tell them all med conditions etc. but definately food for thought. Have done the ICE thing for a while now, I read about it in a article I think it started over in England. I know the newer cell phs have ICE in the address contact part.

Keeping your Dad in my Prayers.

So glad DD is home from camp (we are glad aren't we? lol)

Add me to the bring back racer list. It seems banning was a bit harsh. We should have a "suspended" or a "cooling off period" on the DIS. We need our Racerchicky!!!

Hey pepper, that is so great that you have gone back to writing:cheer2:.
You have great incentive, your Dad is looking down on you and is so proud, and of course wants that dedication to him:goodvibes.

Hey LITC, well memory..... check still working pretty good:laughing:now enjoy that while it last. Just kidding, we would not all be here years after having kids making perfect sense, would we? We do always make perfect sense right?:lmao:By George thats Racers defense, mother of four she just couldn't make sense anymore:rotfl2:.
Hope your feeling well and busy getting ready for baby TK'er!

:wave:Hello anybody out there?:magnify: Okay I did my job trying to add to the page count in the absence of racer so nite nite all!

Good morning TKers!

It it currantly 8:35am here in NH with a temp of 72 degrees in the shade! It is going to be a very Hot, Humid, Nasty, Sticky day here today.

Dumb me made two appts today in the town next to mine but they are 4 hrs apart so I have to come back home from the first one and drive back over for the second one.

Had a "service" for my grandmother yesterday. I used the word service with the "" because I wasn't sure what to call it. We all stood around where she was going to be buried and listened to my Dad read a passage from the bible, my mom read "Heaven's Grocery List and then friends and other family members shared stories about Beana. She was then laid to rest, we stood around visiting with family we hadn't seen in a while and then we all went home. Still doesn't feel like she is gone to me. I keep waiting for it to sink in but it just hasn't happened yet. Thank you everyone again for your kind words, hugs and prayers.

I would like to thank disney54 for keeping the page count up since racetrack is no longer here to do it.

So sorry to hear that LITC is feeling unwell. That beautiful baby of yours is almost ready to come out and meet you! I have a feeling it will be anytime now.

whgrn: I can't wait to hear about you DS reaction to his room especially since your DD likes it. Keeping Dad in my thoughts and was happy to read that he is doing better.

Magikitty: Can't believe that DN is home all ready! Happy to hear that he is physically doing better but how is he doing mentally? Is he doing much talking of the incident or is he keeping it locked in? I know how much he loves you so hopefully he is able to talk to you about whatever he needs to.

pepper: Hey there! Just wanted to say hello.:yay:

BKMETV: So glad I gave you a laugh.

D&DDisney: You are so good! I haven't even started school shopping yet and my kids go back on August 27th! DS11 needs new shoes pretty badly but I just haven't made the time to take him to get them.

Bopsmom: The school secretary can really make or break a school experience in my opinion. Whether you are a sub or a parent having to deal with the school; that is the first person that you speak to and your impression of the school comes from them.

I have a little story about a friend that includes a school secretary. Everyone is always rude to this friend. First it was the karate instructer where our kids (her's doesn't now) take lessons. Having had dealings with the man myself I just couldn't see this guy being rude but I wasn't there so.. Next was the woman in charge of our local Christmas Pagent. I guess she was rude when my friend went in to talk to her about signing her child up. See, my friend sends her children to a private Catholic School but the pagent is open to residents of my town. Since I work with said rude woman I was able to ask her about it and she had a different version of the story. The last one I heard about was how rude the school secretary is. The school where my friend sends her kids closed so now they are going to public school. I guess my friend had to deal with the school secretary and she was apparently rude to her. Since I've been in PTO, have run events and have not only been a parent to two students there but have worked as a sub for two years the school secretary has never, ever been rude to me. I wonder what that says about my friend?;)

to the rest of my wonderful TKer friends! I apologize if I didn't mention you by name but unfortunatly time has grown short and I must wrap this up. Time to get my butt in gear so I can get us to the first appt of the day and still get the house ready and pack for a 3 day trip we are going on in the morning to the White Mountains of NH.

Have a great day my friends!
