It sounds like the Tkers are having a wonderful time. Wish I were there too. It sounds like ya'll are off to a great start. I can't wait to hear more of the details.
Keep filling Magikitty with all sorts of info so she can win that million!

Gotta run and get ready for church. We skipped out on Sunday school this morning. DS has a new girlfriend and they have been staying up all hours of the night on the phone so he was all tuckered out. He's gonna have to learn to balance out the love life and the the rest of his life. Sweet to see him so happy. I just hope it stays that way and I don't have to see him go through a broken heart.

:wave2:
Hope everyone is having a good time!
Wish we could have come this year.

Sounds like the TKers are having fun. :woohoo: Hope the weather is great.

We are going to see the Harry Potter movie this afternoon. :wizard:

Ok people, were is my update? How was the park? Did you eat lots of goodies? Did I enjoy myself? Did you all enjoy yourselves?

Shmu: You are such a nice lady for helping your friend!

DL55: How was Harry Potter? We hope to see it soon.

Bopsmom: :wave2: back at ya!

marie: Was it your DS that had girl trouble during your Disneyland trip last year?

Did anyone else notice that M&N has a ticker showing a Hershey TKer meet happening in 11 months, 4 weeks and 1 day? Is that a typo or are they making plans without us?:confused3

HI!
We're still on the same page? Not too chatty without us I see! Well, the Chatty TKers must have been away! So we'll have to blame it on EV! :lmao:
I just don't know what to say about today. The weather was wonderful. We got to HP at rope drop--they don't call it that there of course but??? I am soooo tired. We did wish that the land here was a little flatter for the walking.
I guess the biggest surprise of the day was the coaster that Kitty got on. I could not believe it. It was one that had a steep hill and lots of twists. Everytime we saw it today, she just looked in shock at it and said that's the one I rode? Of course the whole group-14-did not do the same rides. I guess we all rode the monorail together. The kids all got along and had fun. Racer's youngest and D&D's youngest could be seen walking hand in hand at times. You would have thought D&D's boys had known us all their lives...and they don't chat with us every night here! Of course Racer's youngest and I had words over our favorite race car driver but I think she forgives me. :rotfl:
We ate at Red Robin and talked to DL55. I took a pic of D&D on the phone with her so she could be included. We got the Flat TKers out for a pic at Red Robin---no chocolate for them though! They are getting ready to visit the Amish tomorrow with Whgrn and I and then will be packed for Scotland.
Now for the biggest thrill of the day...Whgrn got her pic taken with Peppermint Pattie! She was so excited...Whgrn, not PP! :rotfl: It was one of the last things we did in the park!
I told them that I would not write about it all so I'll close and head to bed...I'm very tired for some strange reason.:confused3

My ticker was for this one...I guess since I didn't delete it, it started over. I'll take it out now. The pics will have to wait...

Kitty---I would be a life line for you, but when I "play along at home" with millionaire,
I always come out very very poor. CONGRATS CONGRATS on making it though, that is so
awesome. And how cool you told them about us, the TKers are even MORE famous now!!

Have you been watching BB? Anyone you are liking so far? I dont really have any favs yet, I guess I do like Taylor, and Casey.
I can't stand Chima or Russell. And why oh why did Jesse have to be let back in?

M&N-Truthfully I also have never seen Gone with the wind, sorry.

Bobsmom-So good to hear from you! Sorry to hear you have not been feeling well,
take good care of yourself. I hope you have fun in NYC, that sounds like an
awesome trip, what a cool mom you are!

Shmu--I really like the big butts story, thanks for the laugh! And congrats on passing
your first test!!

Pikester--very sorry to hear about your grandmother. Will keep her on the prayer list.

Race--LOVE the pics of your girls, they are too cute!

I've obviously missed a lot as usual, but, I'm mostly bummed, I missed the TKer meet! Oh well, another time. I hope you all had a blast, it sounds like you did. Maybe I'll be able to meet some of you in the fall for the Celtic fest if we go again. Racer - Will you still be there then? When's the big move?

Kitty- You are going to be on Millionaire!?!?!?! Where is that post, I need to find it!

Pikester- I see from LITCs post that your grandmom is sick. I'm very sorry. I'll keep her in my thoughts.

Everybody else, hope things are good. They're alright around here. (Work stinks, but I try to count my blessings that I have a job, stress or no, and home is great... I just love my boys more everyday [DH too].) BL will, believe it or not, be 1yr old in a month or so, so we're starting to think about party ideas. And, DS (who is now 4) is just so old, I can't even believe it. We had friends over last night (part of why I couldn't make it out) and he decided he wanted to look "fancy." Picked out his own outfit... odd as it was, and brushed his teeth multiple times. Between that and how much he likes to talk on the phone (w/ my mom) I can only imagine what we are going to have on our hands in the teen years! :rotfl::scared1:

Anyway, that's more Mommy time than I usually have these days, gotta run.

Miss you all!

It was so fun talking to everyone last night. :woohoo: I was so happy, DH was laughing at me. So glad everything went well.

OK, I just lost my long post.:confused3

Cliff note version.

Hi everybody....:hippie:

Glad the trip is going well....

Glad the butt story makes you laugh. Still makes us laugh....:rotfl2:

Miss you too Lighttech:hug:

Gotta go hit the books. Lunch break is over. I have another test tonight plus I have to give a presentation in front of the class. I have a Peppermint Patty leftover from the chocolate I bought. Gonna eat it after class as a reward.:cool2:

Talk to ya later.:dumbo:

Hey everyone--must still all be busy with the trip. Hope everyone had fun. Probably a good thing I didn't try to make it, feeling a bit rough this weekend and I have developed some awful pain in my wrist, think I am going to have to call the dr tomorrow-it has progressed to the point where I can not even brush my hair!

I guess if its not one thing its another!

Good evening!

I guess there is no one around to be on here tonight. I am waiting patiently for the Tker Hershey Meet participants to come back but it is really hard! I want them to be back now!
temper.gif

LITC: Definitely call the Dr and get an appt for your wrist. Did the pain just start or do you remember doing something to it?

Thank you everyone for the hugs and prayers. Sukie called me today to tell me that Beana was released from the hospital and that she and her DH were going out to dinner. Not sure what she thinks she is doing going out when she's just gotten home from the hospital but :confused3.

DL55: So cool that you talked with everyone!

Shmu: I hate it when I lose a post! How was the test and presentation?

lighttech: I can't believe that BL is going to be a year old already! DS4 sounds so cute with his wanting to look "fancy".

Have a good night!

Good morning everyone.
Oh the waiting.....popcorn::

Shmu: I hate it when I lose a post! How was the test and presentation?
Test was hard. I'll know Thursday how I did.
Got the official score back from my first test last night.
:yay::yay:100%:yay::yay:
I was very pleased.

Presentation went very well. I had to get up and just give a lesson on something. It could be anything. She just wanted us to practice our teaching skills. I taught on saving time and money by using coupons and using the site couponmom.com. It went so well the Teacher forgot to time me. She was so intrigued with the lesson and my excitement she forgot she was grading me. The whole class laughed together when she informed us of this. Guess it means I got an A. Pretty cool to grab the teachers attention so well she forgets what she is suppose to be doing.

Oh....and in the car on the way home as a celebration....I ate my last Hershey chocolate I had bought. I at Patty.:rotfl2:

Where is everyone? This thread is about to die here!
I was tired yesterday...I guess it's hard work keeping up with TKers. I hope everyone got home ok on Monday--they must be tired too! I think Kitty's DN has lots of energy. He was planning on hitting the coasters again Monday---as many as possible. I hope the lines were better. I think Kitty wasn't going to attempt anymore though!
We are to be getting rain all week so our meet was timed perfectly. I hope it doesn't hit DC too bad for D&D's touring. I guess a lot will be inside museums. I think they see the Capital on Wed.
Waiting for those reports...I have to get pics going too...

Hey Shmu---your post wasn't there when I got on and when I was done typing, you had already left! I'm not a fast typist plus it takes at least 45 sec for the post page to load this am!
Glad you impressed the prof! With your stories here, I'm sure you have no problems with creative ways to teach. There's no way she cannot give you an A for that!
Peppermint Pattie is a Flat TKer now. She just cannot stick around in her Hershey Factory state. I think we just love her too much! :rotfl: Whgre tried to bring her to the meet as she arrived in this world but got to the meet as a Flat TKer so we just decided that was ok!

This
angry-smiley-8020.gif
e-mail notification system! I haven't received anything in the last 2 days! Guess I should have just known to check in to see if there were any updates. So.... now where are the pictures????? My DD would have been in hog heaven if she could have been there with Racer's and D&D's youngsters. She thinks everyone she meets is her new best friend and sticks to them like glue. How appropriate for Whgrn to get her pic taken with Peppermint Pattie after all the teasing she's gotten here.

Pikester, I am glad to hear that my DD is not the only one who can't keep their hands off of the pets. I seem to recall my DS doing the same thing so I can hope that it is just a phase and she will get over it one of these days....soon.
Yes, it was my son with the woman problems last year. Actually, it was more the lack of a certain female's interest. I am hoping that this year is a vast improvement for DS. She is already way more attentive. I think the phone is going to grow to his ear!
Glad your Beana is doing much better.

LivinInTheCastle, I hope your wrist gets better soon.

Shmu, congrats on the test! Great job!

I have to admit I am not entirely sure I have ever watched all of Gone With the Wind either. I clearly remember some of the Carol Burnett spoof/skits of GWTW but not the movie.

The last few days around here have been good. I've even got some good news to share...
We finally got some rain! 2 days in a row now. My yard will so appreciate it. Maybe it will drown some of those blasted locust wasps. I've exterminated at least a dozen but it still has not seemed to have slowed them down. BKMETV, tell your son they are NOT neat. They are just plain old creepy!

DS got his second stripe on his blue belt last night. He is now halfway to his Jiu-Jitsu purple belt.

I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought myself a new camera for our WDW trip. My birthday is coming up so I used that as a good excuse.

Also, I was sharing some of my plans with DS. When I started going over the itinerary he said " You mean we are not going to the park all 13 days?!" So I did some rethinking with my plans, dropped some of the outside of the park ideas and decided we will go ahead and be in the parks for 12 days with only one day off. Thanks son! Since someone else is excited I will get to add 2 more days in the park! Looks like I have some more planning to do.

Now the not so good news...
I've got to take our dog to the vet this afternoon. I am a little nervous for our Tessie. She has a knot on her belly. My DD said it was common for dogs to get mammary tumors. Just gotta hope it isn't malignant, if that's what it turns out to be. I am not really a big dog person but we have had her for 7 years and she is a good dog so I imagine it will be harder than I think if we get bad news. My DH and the kids would be devastated. And the worst part is that if something happens to her we will end up starting all over with a puppy. Yikes! Oh, how I dread housebreaking again! Anyway, I am praying all goes well.

Shmu Wow! you really impressed the teacher. :woohoo:
mariezp Sorry about your dog.

Hello Everyone! I missed/miss all of you so much! Just wanted to drop a quick note to let everyone know that nephew and I got back to NY just fine last night.

Millionaire is making me crazy! Still ironing out travel arrangements and releases.

Have to go back and read all that went on since I visited here last.

Want to let everyone know really quick that the weekend was amazing! Everyone was so nice and so fun, and although it sounds cliche, it did really seem that we've known each other forever. The children were so darling and so well behaved, and we had just the best time together. It went by way too fast but I am so glad we did it!

Ok, back to playing catch up with everything. Hello to everyone and I'll be back soon!

I knew it! I got this great book yesterday called the Mega Book of Useless Information. Get this:

LIME JELLO GIVES OFF THE SAME BRAIN WAVES AT ADULT MALES!

That explains SOOOO much! :rotfl2:

I'll start working backwards....yesterday, we had breakfast at the hotel with Wendy and Edward. After saying our sad goodbyes, JR (nephew) and I headed to the park. He immediately headed to the line at Farenheit, I went to visit ZooAmerica. (I don't know if this has been disclosed, but I'm the bad chaperone who encouraged my young charge to ride by himself on the coasters until he threw up). ZooAmerica was awesome! I got to see my beloved Buffalo--they are so cute! I used my time to read all the posted info about the indigenous flora and fauna of North America! I was so glad I went.

We had originally planned to head towards Amish country around 1:30. At about noon, I received the text "what time are we leaving again?". It was clearly a cry for help. I decided I couldn't drag the desperate kid out of the park and told him we can stay until 4. I figure, the Amish have been here for centuries, they're not going anywhere!

By four, I had ridden Kissing Tower, taken in some of the shows, shopped and did some great people watching. There was an Amish family near the waterpark, and all I can say was Amish boy-man was H-O-T! That made my day.

By 4, we were tired and JR had done all the coasters at least three times in the last 24 hours. He did some more than 5 times! He was so excited and had the recap for me. We munched on pretzels all the way home.

So, now nephew and the rest of the family have embarked on their family vacation for Georgia. I am now the proud caretaker of JR's twin goldfish and triplet lizards. He was actually tearing up this morning, asking me to take good care of them. I told him, I didn't hurt or maim you during the weekend, I can certainly take care of your pets (I hope so, anyway).

Ok, back to cramming. Will come back during my study breaks!

Too cool Kitty. JR was quiet but I could tell he loved those coasters! I wish I had a good one of the one you rode. I'll have to take my camera the next time I go and get some pics of those twists ans turns for you.

I finally got the pics on Photobucket so I'll post a few from Indian Echo Caverns:
