Sister is better...still can't drive, the one day she tried her fingers went numb...she is going to the specialist on the 20th for a check up so we should know more then. Her butt cheeks are almost the same size again (one swelled up so she referred to it butt as a 1/2 JLo) Her neck is still better sore though so she has to take it easy.

Let us know how that goes! We're still praying for her.

The official colors that we are dying our hair...

DH-electric banana
me-vampire red
DS-after midnight blue
DD13-electric lizard highlights
DD8-hot hot pink
DD6-purple haze

Ok, I uploaded some pictures of DD6 & DD8.

Their hair looks almost the same color because I didn't want to lighten DD6's too much.

DD6-her official color was suppose to be the purple haze. With the highlights in her hair, the shade varies.

DD8 officially used hot hot pink. It came out a dark pink color.

I'm working on mine right now. You'll have to wait till Saturday to see that.

Hello everyone! Millionaire has put me in an absolute tizzy. I have to get so much organized. I have to fill out forms, get pictures and release forms for my phone-a-friend--all by Monday!

Of course, we all know that I actually have plans for this weekend! I may have to bring my laptop with me, just in case.

Anyway, I'm scheduled to tape July 30. They're sending a car service to pick my up the day before and we'll be staying for two nights. My nephew is my guest on the show, but he'll actually be in Georgia visiting the evils at that time. So I'm flying him back up, which he is relieved for. We're going to party in the city!

I am presently worried about filling out the questionnaire and what I'm going to wear.

I still haven't packed for Hershey yet! And my laundry is STILL hanging outside, b/c it rained this afternoon.

Racetrack, the colors came out GREAT! They look so cute!

Ev, glad to hear the Sister is on the mend. How did you spend your day?

I would love to have talked with you but my plans for this weekend are very up in the air. I might be going to visit my Grandmother but I'm not sure which night; I'm thinking Saturday night and Sunday I'm not sure if I'm going to be home. But, I would love to "eat" chocolate with you all so please let me know about what time you ladies will be eating chocolate and getting drunk.

Well, no news on my "Beana" yet. I guess she is feeling better then she was yesterday. She was in a lot of pain due to the collasped lung but that pain has gone away. Right after I got off the phone with my Mom yesterday my MIL called me to tell us that my FIL was in the hospital with an infection in his leg/groin area. About a year ago he had a precedure done to his leg/groin area and it became infected with the Mercer Staph bacteria. He was able to get rid of it with medication but now he is always having it come back as the bacteria gets use to whatever medication he is using so that the Doctors have to find something else. My MIL also told me that my Grandmother in-law is not doing so well and probably only has weeks to live. I mentioned a while ago that she has cancer that has spread to her spine. She is in great pain and is now on morphine. The poor thing is just wasting away.


I hope I haven't brought everyone down. I just needed to get all that off my chest.

Once again I hope everyone has a good time this weekend. Make sure everyone has a drink for me and make sure to eat lots of amusement park goodies. You know popcorn, cotton candy, chocolate covered banana on a stick, ice cream, fried dough, fries, etc.

OK, I forget who asked about my chubby legs. Trust me. They are MORE than chubby. That part of me didn't slim down near as much as the rest of me, and I've always been bottom heavy. But it isn't supposed to be too hot, so I will wear capris and spare you all the horrible sight.

Still no word from either of the campers. But I did see pics of DD online at their Snapfish site, and she looks to be having a blast. No surprise there. I got a call from DS's camp and panicked, thinking "OMG he got kicked out already!!" Nope, he has just been invited to go on a therapeutic trail ride (whatever the heck that is...) next Friday, and they needed my permission. I sure hope they write to me soon!!

Today I spent the day with one of my dearest friends from HS. She lives in KY and I see her so rarely--last time was 2 or 3 years ago. She came up for her 30th HS reunion (she was the year behind me), and I picked her up at the airport and hung out with her and her mom (who is like a 2nd mom to me). We went out to lunch, and then just sat chatting all afternoon. It was great. Then I went to Mom and Dad's and we went out for dinner. Dad said we really need to do something for their anniversary (since we had to cancel the big 50th anniversary trip), and we looked online for places. We found a really nice place in northern NJ http://www.thecrystalspringsresort.com We are staying at the brand new part, going up for 3 days the end of August. It will be so nice, but we will miss my DSis, who will be back in Turkey by then.

Tomorrow Danny's mattress is coming, and the painters are coming to do his room. Another busy day for me!

I was just about to get off of the computer for the night and remembered that I wanted to say something to BKMETV.

I have not seen Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince yet. DH wants to go soon but I would need to find someone to watch DS8 as he could care less about going. I'm thinking of having DH take DS11 while I stay with DS8 and then maybe seeing if my Dad wants to go see it. I'm not sure yet.

Well, it is political here too. But, being 42 and very opinionated, I am having fun with the Professor. I am testing the waters but just enough to still stay on her good side. Gotta make sure I get that A.

I messaged my phone number to D&D. MagiKitty also has it. Texting is better for me instead of a live call. I'll make sure to have my Hershey Bar ready. Maybe I'll go get PATTY.

I was so excited when I read this I sent DD a text. She is at the beach with our church group. I know she is going to be thrilled. Haven't heard back from her yet. For those that don't know or remember, we had the privilege of meeting MagiKitty and BF at Disney last year on our trip. DD got to meet her too. And.....we are going to be there at the same time again this year since we had to change our trip so we get to see them again.

I have no really funny stories or attributes, I'm fairly boring.

I disagree with that statement. Go back and read some of our threads.

Wendy -- Are you missing your kids yet? My DD has been gone pretty much all summer. Nice at first but I really miss her now. She comes back tomorrow and leaves again Monday for her last trip.

ARe you sure you don't need another phone a friend. DS7 was all excited when I told him you were going to be on the show. He is on a gameshow kick right now and just LOVES Millionaire. We have to play the DVD game at least 2x per day. Anyway, he really does know a lot about presidents (walking trivia book) and my DH knows everything about music. I'd be happy to have the internet all ready to go if you need us.

Racetrack - I have calmed down now. Gave my tizzy to Kitty. I still am super duper excited and wondering how I'll get everything done today and then get the whole family to sleep by 8pm so we can get up before the crack of dawn.
The hair looks cute. I guess I was only right about your DD13 having highlights. Oh well. As we drive around the campgrounds to our cabin, we'll surely know which site is yours.

Shmu - got your PM. Yay on the test! I may be joining you in class this fall. If I get the job I interviewed for yesterday, I'll need to go back to school and start in on my Masters in Adaptive Ed and Reading Specialist. Not sure how I feel about that.

When I woke up this morning, I decided it might be a good idea to think about what I needed to bring for this weekend. So I started pulling things out, and now there is a small pile of stuff on my bed just waiting to be put into a suitcase! Once I hit the store for the buns and cheese, I can be ready in under 5 minutes.

Now I can relax and concentrate on cleaning rooms and packing for Scotland!
