It's getting quite dark outside right now. The skies are about to unload.
Lots of lightning and thunder.

Morning! We finally have a little bit of sun. First time since we've been home. Not going to last though. They are predicting T-storms for the next days.

D&D, those rv's are more than I wanted to spend but then I figured after we bought everything for tent camping, it would all even out. Plus, since we don't have to really bring any camping gear, that leaves more room for food and drinks. :woohoo: And you are absolutely right about a fair wage. I wish you lots of luck in finding something much better.

DL55, I was so surprised by how much we liked it. DH is already talking about season passes when we go back.

Do you still have to bring sleeping bags or bedding? More room for food and drinks huh???:scratchin:drinking1

That Simpson ride looks like so much fun. That is my favorite show. :thumbsup2 Love their humor.

Still have to bring bedding and towels but we would have had to bring that anyway.

The kitchenette has all the necessities for cooking too.

We are in the process of wrapping Father's Day gifts. Just got DH a few things he needs this year. Almost got him tickets for the truck/Nationwide race here in Milwaukee this weekend but was too expensive. Bummer!
Kids made some homemade stuff too.

racetrack18kb If you had to buy most of your camping gear it sounds like you made a great decision. No need to buy camping stuff if you don't plan to do much camping. :thumbsup2
D&DDisney I see you haven't washed away yet. :goodvibes

Good afternoon everyone! I missed my usual good morning greeting. It may have stopped raining here, it looks like it could go either way outside. This has been a crazy June! I do hope we have fantastic weather for the TKer meet next month!

I'm eagerly awaiting the delivery of my new phone. My mother has killed her old phone and she cannot possibly figure out how to maneuver the new ones, so being the generous daughter that I am, I will sacrifice my older phone for a newer one. Its maroon and has buttons. I don't like these touch screen ones. I hate seeing the fingerprint smudges.

You really don't realize how many phone numbers you have that you don't use until its time to transfer. Got rid of a lot of useless numbers. Kept all the TKer I had. You guys made the cut! :rotfl2:

I have been talking so much about the TKer meet that one of my best friends is jealous and just may join us. Actually, Hershey is about halfway between us since he lives in Baltimore. The last time I saw him was in Atlantic City for my birthday, so I hope he does come!

I got a great deal on a 2 year pass to Universal. It was about $170 if I remember correctly. It expires in November. I would seriously renew it again. Between the free parking and BMG discount, it was completely worth it. Watch out on the Universal board towards the end of the summer. Seems to be when the great AP promos come out.

Been working on my Sept trip schedule, which is difficult to do when the October hours aren't out yet (we'll be onsite until 10/7). I've plotted out 7 days at the parks, one MNSSHP, 2 days at Sea World, one evening on the casino cruise (romantic sunset on the Atlantic ocean) and a few concessions for my shopping habit. Think I may have most of m ADRs, but subject to change due to hours.

ok, here's where I need help....has anyone eaten 1900 Park Fare for breakfast? How about Tusker House for lunch? Hollywood and Vine for dinner? The Princess lunch in Norway? Chef Mickey for lunch? We'd like to try all new restaurants this year and these fit into my plans so far. I know I should ask on the restaurant board but I trust you guys more!

Where is mr. FedEx?

Ok, will go back now and read about all the shenanigans last night....have a great Friday everyone! :flower3:

Yeah for making the cut on the cell phone. :cheer2: Now don't we all feel special. next thing you know we'll be fighting for #1 position on your speed dial.
You have a friend that is from Baltimore? We're headed down that way. Going to be camping near there when we're in DC. Yeah for more guests.

I've eaten at Chef Mickey but only for breakfast. They had a very good breakfast buffet. Lots of yummy stuff. :thumbsup2

Received Marie's flat self today. Anyone else care to join the flat TKer team??? PM me a photo.

Especially since TWO of my coworkers made comments about my size this week. They better watch. I wont be big and waddling forever!!!

You look great...I was told by a friend that I was the fattest pregnant lady she'd ever seen! Just what you want to hear!

I've also only done Chef Mickey's for bkft. A friend did Tusker's and said it was good but not sure if it was lunch or bkft.

My Baby Sister Is Home!!!!!!!!

Glad she made it safe and sound.

D&D - Sorry to hear the job didn't work out how you planned.

I was down visiting my sister today...she's managing to get around with a walker...the doctor was in (this evening after I left of course) and has decided to order another MRI...he's not happy with how the swelling isn't going down. Meanwhile I now have her two kids for the weekend. My mom has my niece and DD tonight while DNephew and DS sleep here. They'll probably all hang at the pool tomorrow providing it doesn't rain all day. I plan on having a lot of wine!!

Is that wine or whine?

Thought I'd drop by and say Hi! Its been crazy here. I have a birthday party for DD2 tomorrow and the baby is being baptised. Everyone is coming for a BBQ to celebrate both. After all the whine I'll be hearing, I'll be happy to join you with some wine!

Good morning friends! another grey and dull day here. This weather is miserable.

Kerrie, congrats on the baby's baptism! Hope you have wonderful weather for all your plans...

Ev, glad to hear that DSis is doing better. :wizard: For a speedy recovery!

Wendy, enjoy the weekend with your family.

D&D...yeah, my friend lives in Baltimore, but he's not the camping type either. I will tell you is absolutely gorgeous down there.

My phone didn't arrive yesterday. :headache: Apparently next day air isn't all it promises to be. Phone company tracked it for me and its supposed to show up on Monday. It took a while for me to get emotionally prepared to switch phones and now I have to wait....

Heads up PA Tkers! i read on the boards that Giant supermarkets this week are having a promo for Hershey tix! Spend $40 on certain items and get one ticket free. I'm not sure of the details, we don't have a Giant here, but it may help some of you out---especially since we all have to buy stuff for the cookout!

big cable movie promo week on DirecTv. Get HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz and Encore channels for free until Monday morning. I will say the cable company is not putting forth its best effort. There's still nothing to watch on there!

Have a good day everyone. I'm absolutely obsessed with my ADRs. Managed to get a decent one weeks rental car rate, picking up at DTD and dropping off at the airport. Still hoping for a better code to extend that ressie for the entire 10 days. I like to be in charge of my own transportation...enjoy your Saturday!

Sounds like BKMETV and SCHBR'smom are going to have noisy weekends.
MagiKitty I've noticed whenever we get free HBO (or whatever) there is seldom anything that interests me. Makes me feel better about not paying to get them. ;)
We had rain yesterday afternoon. It never rains before the 4th of July. :confused3 Well it did once and flooded part of the town.

Hi DL55! You would think that in order to entice new customers, they would put out great programming THEN switch to garbage after you're signed into a contract....makes no sense to me. Just makes me glad I don't subscribe to most of them.

I do subscribe to HBO, I like a lot of their own programming. Especially True Blood and a lot of their documentaries. I used to have Time Warner Cable and was paying the same rate for one Hbo. I switched to DirecTv and am paying the same for 8 channels.

Here's the rub, I live in the town where Cablevision was invented by Alan Gerry! (Time Warner bought Cablevision years ago). I'm not complaining that much, though. DirecTv always sends really cute techs to my house!

I also pay for Filipino programming, we enjoy knowing what's going on back "home".

Some of the HBO programs do look interesting. DH always tries to check them out when we stay in hotels. :)

Girls you better watch out when you are browsing on HBO. I still have a vivid image burned into my mind. When we went on vacation a couple years ago we were taking our afternoon break in our room one afternoon. I was scanning channels and when I did I caught a couple doing "the deed" right there on HBO. I was in total shock cause it was not one of your discreet love scenes. I thought HBO used to be at least somewhat of a family channel. Boy, was I wrong! I was just extremely grateful that my DD was not in the room.

Thanks D&D for taking on my photo to make me a TKer. I can't wait to get started traveling!

My nutty husband came in yesterday with one of those pieces of equipment that you hang upside down on. His nephew sent it home with him cause it is supposed to help his back. Now I do not know how much it will help his back but it certainly entertained us for a bit! Seeing my control freak hubby hanging upside down at the mercy of my son was pretty funny. Of course, after we all laughed at him he pretty much dared the rest of us to try it when he was through. Well, I figured if he could take it so could I. It started out kinda fun but I would not want to spend more than a minute or so hanging upside down cause it felt like my head would explode! Thankfully, it didn't leave me with a major headache but it did leave my tummy feeling kinda yucky. Anyway, the kids were not about to try it. So looks like that will probably be the last time anyone around here gets on it. Guess we will never find out if it really makes your back feel better.

We are having a quiet afternoon around here today. I have actually been looking over my WDW rough draft a bit. It is really coming together. Hopefully when the current park hours come out it won't conflict with everything I've decided on. Still gotta decide if we want to do any character meals and the CP. Guess it depends on how the funding looks by then. Does anyone know if you do the Garden Grill as part of the CP package if they still have the characters? It would be nice to kill 2 birds with one stone.

OK all you Mom's with large families have my utmost admiration...FOUR KIDS IS WAY TOO MUCH WORK!! Thank god DS had a birthday party this afternoon and a friend invited my niece to be a last minute addition to her daughter's party...otherwise I'd have been in the looney bin!! We also were invited to a BBQ for dinner (thank goodness for friends)
I am off to bed 'cause I'm absolutely exhausted but had to share the news that my sisters leg is working again :woohoo: Still haven't been told when she'll get out of hospital but at least something is getting better.

Hey all!!!!

Been a crazy day around here. Tomorrow is DD7's 8th birthday. Along with Father's day. And today is my mom's birthday. With just getting back from vacation, I didn't have anything for any of these celebrations. I had no idea what to get DD for her birthday. She's really into arts and crafts but we have so much of that stuff, I didn't want to get anymore. So, we ended up getting her a pink, girly razor scooter. And we are taking her to a place called Kid's Castle tomorrow. It's like a smaller version of Chucky E Cheese. Very small and uncrowded.

No big Father's Day gifts here either. The kids made him some cards and I'll cook a nice meal but that's about it. He'll get some money to buy some junk for his truck. Then he'll get a couple of hours by himself to be with his "baby" so he'll be happy. :rotfl2:

Ev, so glad you got good news about your sister. Wishing her a speedy recovery. And those of us with big families have been doing it forever. Or so it seems. :rotfl2: Now if you doubled the amount of kids I have even if for one day, I would be insane. I'm talking drinking an entire bottle of wine at the end of the day insane. :rotfl:

marie, I can't answer your question about the Garden Grill and CP. Sorry. What other restaurants are you hoping to eat at?

D&D and DL55 (since I think you go camping too), I've never been camping of any sort. DH hasn't been since he was a kid. What would you consider your "must haves" for camping? I know we are not really "camping" since we will be in one of those rv trailers but there must be things that you bring to make things easier. Any tips or pointers would be helpful.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Tod is still sleeping so we're waiting until later for the Father's Day stuff...DS spent the night at my mom's with my niece...I have nephew and DD, so I guess everything's on hold until DS gets home. I'll make him a nice dinner and the kids got him GC to Future Shop...he's still saving for a huge flat TV (and still whining he's the only one without one!)

Mom will be taking my sister's kids home this afternoon so hopefully things will start quieting down around here...except for all the activities for the last week of school that is!!

Marie - Sorry can't help you on the CP question.

TTYL

Good morning and Happy Fathers Day to everyone and the men in your lives. Hope the weather has abated for everyone--it seems the entire nation is having some sort of severe weather--so you can enjoy the day together.

Not much plans here today.

Marie, sorry I'm not familiar with the CP. I know I went a few years ago, but we just stumbled upon it and got in line. Didn't know anything about ADRs back then! Just keep an eye out on the Restaurant Board--there's a thread right now about the CP.

Friend called me last night just to confirm Hersheypark plans. :rotfl2: Confirming with me?! I know I'll be there, he just has to show up. Baltimore really isn't that far, he's planning to leave early Saturday and do some touristy stuff and wait until I get there. (I am not the earliest of birds). I think he's just as excited as we are!

Ok, so I've been watching the free preview weekend and I need some help. I've been trying to watch POTC: Worlds End and I really have no idea what is going on. Can someone give me a synopsis? I watched the other movie...but this just doesn't make sense!

Have a great Sunday everyone. I hope its fun and with loved ones!

BKMETV I thought you wanted a big family? ;):rotfl:

racetrack18kb Sounds like most of the "must haves" are already included. Did you need bed linens? We just use sleeping bags. Since you'll have a bathroom, no need for a flashlight to find your way to the public restroom. We usually just plan one pot meals (we hate to wash dishes). The only "must have" is s'more ingredients and a few marshmellow roasting forks. :goodvibes We bring folding chairs to sit outside. Trailers can bring you too close together.
