Ok, from what I understand, for the races that Brer Papa has listed, we pick one driver and you can only them once. It's totally seperate from our regular picks. At the end of the 5 races, they will add up the scores from those 5 drivers and use that score to replace our worst score of the second half of the season.

Have a good day...saw lots of rain in TX too. I heard the rain last night/this am but no thunder! I had to get out lond sleeved gown again!
I must get things done today. I'm trying to not get on until this pm but...I'm addicted.

Good morning to the chatty cathys of the group (and you KNOW who you are!) and to the rest of you. 6 pages last night--my goodness, I do believe certain people need their very own chat thread! At this rate, we will hit 250 pages before we go to Hershey!

There were some things in the first few posts I wanted to comment on, but they are long since forgotten!

It is pouring here, and has been for hours. My flower beds are floating! I think the pool is about to overflow! What miserable weather! I hope it clears out for the weekend. I have someone coming to plant flowers in my flower beds, and the whole family is coming for a BBQ on Saturday. Sure, we can sit inside, or on the porch, but it would be nicer to have decent weather!

Well, my DSis is in the air! They should have left Istanbul about 2:30 or 3 am our time. They arrive at 2:45 in NY. I will see my baby sister in just 8 hours!!!!!

I'm off to build my ark...

Good morning M&N & whgrn.... and anyone else out there! My part of Texas must have missed the rain. All dry here. I need to get outside and work in my yard but unless I get out there pretty quick it just gets too darn hot. DH said his thermometer outside his tractor cab was 108 a couple days ago.

I was up a little late last night but then I guess I am on a different time zone from most everybody. I kinda hit and ran last night so I didn't get to hang around to chit chat. That's usually how it goes. The minute my bottom hits the chair someone needs something. Oh well, I would be a poor person to pick to talk racing. Don't know a thing about it. Closest I've ever came to that was going to a monster truck show about a hundred years ago.

Yes, it is very handy to have a friend who works on computers. He even makes house calls! However, there is a trade off. When he comes I have to be ready to spend the WHOLE day gabbing. I never knew a fellow who could talk so much! It's so bad my DS went into hiding yesterday. I think it was worth it. I am finally hooked back up to my printer!

That's a clever idea Marie. I have a hard time remembering. Sometimes I multiquote and then delete the quote but I messed one up several pages ago! I think they were talking about Corpus C(whatever that is? I cannot spell it or figure out if it's a cristy or crispy)
I think I need more sleep! I miss out on the weekends so I have to make up for lost posts during the week!

Well see there. Obviously my "method" doesn't always catch me up. I missed the post about Corpus Christi. I would have joined in on that one cause our favorite place to eat in the whole wide world is there! So unfair too cause it is an 8 hour drive just to eat the best seafood in Texas.

What have you got against games? Have you seen some of the post counts of the people who play ALL DAY - EVERYDAY???

D&DDisney, I am still working on getting out tv channels up and running again. All the cables are tucked away into hard to reach places. I may have to call the DH in on this one. Good to know when it's finally fixed that we might be able to pick up some extra channels. We also don't have cable or dish because I refuse to fork over the money. We don't watch much tv anyway and I certainly do not want to encourage more. I also do not want to support most of the channels and the crap they air. If anyone was to find something they liked on cable it would be the guys. Then I would be stuck listening to MMA fights, the weather channel, the science channel or the history channel 24-7 and I REALLY don't want to do that. Besides that, DD thinks she is getting a real treat when we travel somewhere and she gets to watch the Disney channel. It wouldn't be very special if she could watch it all the time. So, I continue to be stubborn. Plus I can watch my soap opera online so I'm good.

I too like the idea that when my kids go to a hotel or someone else's house and get to watch Sponge Bob they consider that a treat. Hope it keeps them grounded and I like the idea that they are not watching TV constantly. I really like the new antena we got. Looks like a little space craft on our TV.

It's more than that for me... I really don't think I have a favorite seafood place in the whole wide world so I really need to give it a try. I do always have to go to the Boston's Fish House in Orlando when I go. It's not fancy but you get lots of food.

Good morning! Whew! Just finally caught up with all the chatting last night. Strangely enough, the racing chatter just went over my head. I hope everyone is enjoying their fantasy racing.

Its beyond rainy here! It started late last night and has gotten progressively worse. I will never get my laundry on the line anytime soon. Back to the dryer for me.

I watched the new Star Trek movie last night and I really liked it!

Yesterday was full of good news. Baby Cole arrived and my sister got news that she matched with a fellowship in Rochester next year. I ran with that and stopped by the racino. Put five dollars in and hit the bonus--walked out with $80. I got 100 free games! but boy, did that take a long time. Its going straight to my vacation fund.

Ah, I almost forgot how humbling it is to be a thread killer. I posted on the Sea World board yesterday if anyone had any suggestions on the best day to go. We'll have two days to go there and was wondering if some days are better than others, if they have special weekend shows or anything. I've gone ignored.

Okay Tkers...I need your help.

I posted a thread on this, but not expecting much traffic there. I have the same problem Kitty does - I am ignored.

I need a wireless card for my laptop. It is a very old laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 running Windows 2000. The campgrounds we are staying at this summer have free Wi-Fi and it would be nice to get access to internet.
Does anyone know much about wireless cards to buy?

Magikitty and D&D, sorry I don't have an answer for either one of you.

What I find really ironic about it is yesterday, one of the mods posted a thread on the CB reminding people that there are sections of the Dis for other specific vacation locations. Asking people to post their questions there instead of on the CB. And yet when you do post a question over there, it gets ignored.
