TKers Take the Fifth!

SCHBR'smom: Glad you posted...feel free to talk away! Things are a little strange right now as we try and get a new thread going---our 5th. MagiKitty started the original so we get her to start all the new ones. We used to worry about being a TKer but now it's an honor. A lot of times, instead of asking a question 'out there', we will ask here so we know we will get an honest answer and not a know-it-all answer. How many times have you been to DW or DL?

I went to DL once as a child. I've been to DW twice. We go before each child starts kindergarten. Another trip due next year. I'm thinking we need to go for each when they are in high school also. But, we'll see how much I can talk DH into. He sees my obsession growing, so, hopefully, it won't be too long until I can talk him into a trip every year. I was pretty close for this year, but things keep coming up and spoiling my plans. Next year is a definite, though.

You get that DH talked into it! I had never been to DW until 7 years ago. Friends moved to Orlando so I went to visit them and am hooked. Thankfully, I can stay with them. He even works for Disney so I can get in free with him. I love MK the best. My friend and I are always saying--You can never have too many castle pictures.

I am one of the Texans around here. So which part of the Lone Star State are you from? I am in Decatur which is right outside of Fort Worth. Always good to meet someone else from Texas who shares a love for Disney. We have been to Disneyland for the past 8 years BUT we will be taking our first trip to WDW this December. Anyway, we hope you stick around.

Mrs. Nesbit is a good one. Personally, I seem to relate a little more to Dory.

Good morning! I see we survived the night and slowly everyone will check in. Hugs to everyone!

We had huge storms move through here early this morning. Heavy rain and lightning and wind like I haven't heard! It'll be quiet for the rest of the morning but more showers expected this afternoon. Of course, the weatherman made no mention of the storms last night....

Sukie--new ticker? You've committed to the cruise I see...how exciting! Please tell Pikester where we are...

Marie, you totally reminded me....has anyone actually seen Marie from the Aristocats at DW? I so love her and realized that I've never seen her.

EPCOT is my fave park. Especially if there's Food&Wine involved!

M&N, you're totally right though. You can never have too many pics of the castle. This last time I was able to get one of those "magical" pics with Tink in my hands with the castle in the background. I was absolutley thrilled! I also cannot ride Its a Small World enough. I absolutely love it.

SCHBR'smom...what a wonderful tradition to take the little ones before kindergarten! I totally remember riding on Dumbo with my Dad when I was three years old (many, many moons ago). I just took my nieces last month--ages 16, 15, and 9. It was really good ages to go. The 9er still loved seeing the Princesses and the older ones were ready to ride the bigger rides.

I would have to say I relate most to Belle...I love to read, love to talk to inanimate objects, have weird taste in men....

I did a quick look at the list to make sure I had Whgrn on it! I knew we wouldn't loose her! I know 3 on the list do not post much. I think Racer has their emails. She can let them know when she gets home. We can email again those who don't check in today if you want to. We have 8 out of 17 plus we have a new TKer! That's good for 14 hours!

If we had stroms, I didn't hear them. I did not see the local weather this am. They have a long, deep hole in the street right in front of my walkway to my door. Thankfully they are closing it up now. Thankfully I must not have any sewer problems to my house. That's some bill I have been told!

I think the AC is coming on today. They will check out heating and AC on the 22nd but it should be ok...hopefully. I know I should have called sooner but I've been on the go too much.

Good morning SCHBR'smom! Glad to see you again...I started the first thread years ago and no one's tired of me yet--so it won't happen with you!

I see by your tags you have little ones! The DD(0) just makes me laugh...how old is she? We have another TKer who is expecting this fall and another friend had a little guy last year...

M&N..its warm near you? Ok, I looked up a Whoopie pie and I'm completely sold. You'll have to give me tips on where to get the good ones. I'll try to bring those home for my family--if I don't eat them on the way home.

Here's my question--how did I get so tubby NOT eating smores and Whoopie pies? There's a whole world of goodies I haven't had yet. Oh wait, I know. I discovered cheesecake and tiramisu (not at the same time). Pretzels aren't that bad for you, right? Even the chocolate covered ones?

DD(0) is a teeny tiny 5 1/2 mos. I put down 0 because the others insist she is 0 until she turns 1. We even have 0 birthday parties when they come home from the hospital with a 0 candle. Very cute.

Oh, and yes, pretzels are good for you. Even chocolate covered, it evens out. Just like banana splits, the banana and cherry make it health food. I had a neighbor once who said cake was healthy for you because it had eggs in it. Works for me!

Good Morning,

So how was it waking up in a new place?
I am cleaning out my office at work today. Really going to miss this place. So many memories.

We had some bad storms come through yesterday afternoon. A tornado touched down 6 miles from our house. Sirens went off and we went in the basement. Not much damage here (just blown over patio set and grill) but in town they lost quite a few trees. Scary.

Marie - I've been meaning to tell you I loved that pic your DH took. Now that we live outside the city and I can actually see sunsets and sunrises, I never get tired of them and God's awsome wonder.

Pretzels are wonderful. We can get a lot of kinds here. Soft pretzels are yummy...not the Auntie Anns kind either. They have too much butter on them for me. I like hard pretzels the best. I used to live near a little factory that still makes hand twisted ones. They had 15 second commercials and asked me to be in one. In my 5 seconds of fame, I held up 2 pretzel bags and said I have to have my Hammonds...salted or unsalted. Herrs is also in Lancaster County and they make all kinds of great snacks. When I was younger, we even had a chip/pretzel/cookie truck come to the door...like the bread and milk man! This helped me to get overly tubby!

The 0 birthday party sounds so neat.. I thought you were expecting but I guess that would be a minus number???
