Hi everyone. I had a pretty boring day. But the weekend should be really busy. I want to finish packing everything that I can since next week, we get the keys to our new place. I have to do some clothes shopping since picture day is Tuesday and my little ones are begging for something new to wear.

Magkitty, nice to see you back. I hope you'll post lots of pictures from your trip.

D&DDisney, the flat tkers sound like so much fun. I'll have to pm you to get the whole scoop on what to do. I'd love to tag along if you all don't mind a newbie. And I hear you about trouble with sons. Mine is a total handful, to say the least.

marie, though I applaud your step-daughter for caring so much for an animal that seemed to be neglected by it's owner, I think she went about it the wrong way. She should have called animal control and explained the situation. And while she was talking to them, she could have come up with a plan with them to adopt the dog legally.

i should warn you that there will be no (food) porn from my trip. I absolutely forgot about it. I did enjoy the food way too much. Most of it was delicious!

The new Rav has officially been named Fiona. A good strong SCOTTISH female name! In celebration, we drove down to the Scottish butcher shop and got Scotch Pies, Bridies and Haggis Puffs for lunch. LOVED the pies and the bridies--the haggis puffs, not so much. But DD loved them. She also got a bottle of IrnBru, the Scottish national drink. She loves it. I think it tastes the the stuff they make you drink when you go for a glucose tolerance test! YUCK!!!

We are back and I am tired....but it's a good tired.

Not doing a TR this year so here is a cliff note version of our trip for my TK friends.

Friday....Traveled. Stopped in Ocala to see my nephew's new son.
Saturday....Breakfast at Ohana with Lilo and Stitch (worth it just for the juice) then we drove over to Cocoa Beach for the day. (Ahhh. I love the beach) Puny had a wipe-out though. Literally. He was a wet, salty, seaweed mess. Had to wash him in sink and hang him out to dry. (I'll post pics when I have more time)
Sunday...MK all day from open till close.
Monday...Went back to Cocoa Beach for day. Had dinner at DTD at Wolfgang and met MagiKitty. Puny met his cuz Captain Mooney. LOVED our visit with MagiKitty. She is such a doll.
Tuesday...Kids went to Universal. DH took a nap. I did homework in hotel room.
Wednesday...DTD in the morning. Traveled home that afternoon.
Thursday...Home, washed clothes, I had class that night, then after class we drove to SC to Fort Jackson.
Friday...Army Bootcamp Graduation watching a family friend graduate. Also, happens to be my DD's "crush". We call him Muffin. Spent whole day with family. Had a GREAT time. We miss them.
Saturday (today).....drove home and DD had to go to work. So did DH. I collapsed on my bed and slept.


I have received ornaments. THANK YOU. It brings tears to my eyes that you are helping out someone you do not know. She will LOVE the ornaments and will be very blessed.

Going to have Christmas Shower Nov. 8 I think. Need to confirm with her DH to make sure that is a good date for her.

I would load pics but I am still exhausted. I'll try and load the pics tomorrow.

Shmu, that sounds like a perfect vacation to me. How did your kids like Universal? We took our vacation to Universal last year and the kids loved it. I think even more than Disney. I hope you'll post some pics soon.

I just wanted to pop on and offer a quick hello to everyone. Deb I saw your facebook post in my email, but facebook seems to be down this morning.

I have been doing a LOT of writing lately. I promised Michelle a couple of chapters, but I am re-writing a lot right now.

I hope to be online more often soon. I noticed that when I get online during my free time I don't get a lot done and I really want to finish it...even if it stinks ha ha.

Brr! Such a change from the 90 degree weather in Orlando! (which was far too hot for me in my opinion), but come on! We're hovering around the freezing mark right now. Just a great excuse for a hot beverage....

D&D...I'm so sorry to hear about you not being invited to see the in-laws. That was really rude and in poor judgement. And its terrible to think that they're missing out on spending time with your wonderful family. Pooh on them! Congrats on DS7 being gifted and talented! I could have told you that after meeting him!

Wendy, how is DS feeling? I read that he was sent home from school feeling sick. And you like FastForward? Of course, we had to go on vacation when all the fall tv came back on...I have no idea what's on the telly right now.

Aww...thank you everyone for your concern about my family in the Phils. My family and friends in Manila are all ok, but did have a lot of water damage done to their homes and cars. My SIL had two feet of water in her house...and four feet outside! It was a terrible one-two punch of two massive successive storms. Also, its the end of rainy season, so people weren't really expecting such a large storm. In regards to my parents' house, we're in the middle of the country and surrounded by other islands, so we don't get as much of the severe weather coming in from the ocean, so there was hardly any storming there.

Bopsmom...how is your hand and burns? ooh, it sounded to painful! But the thought of beignets are divine!

Welcome! hanutedmansionmomma! Hope you pull up a chair and stay a while! The story of your Dis-name is hysterical!

Pikester...those pics are so beautiful! This time of year is one of the reasons I love living in the Northeast so much.

Ev, and iPhone and a big screen tv! Woo-hoo! I see the commercial advertising "over 75,000 apps for the iPhone" and that just blows me away!
