Am I glad I don't have a teenager anymore. :goodvibes Of course DD is still driving me crazy. I don't watch any of those TV shows.

Good Morning,

Yes Kitty, we do observe Palm Sunday -- the LONGEST mass ever. However it is always very powerful and puts things back into proper perspective. Can't believe Easter is one week away. Not that I am not prepared, but seems like life has sped up again.

DS11/12 had his b-day party this weekend. Turns 12 this week. Can't believe he's that old already. Where does the time go? Next stop Teenville - however some days I think we've already arrived. He gives us the eye roll, loud exhale and "Its not fair!!" thing already. Sometimes he has a smart mouth too, but we quickly take care of that. Ugh!!!

DS7 will celebrate his birthday and First Communion on the same day in April. Yippee...another party to plan. At least its 2 parties on the same day. Saves from too much time w/ relatives.

Good morning and happy Palm Sunday, if you observe. Still crazy chilly, but clear and bright. Can't complain really. Have to get kitty to the vet tomorrow by 7:30, which is always fun trying to get her into the carrier...

I stayed up way too late watching Fraggle Rock. That's sounds like an oxymoron. Or just makes me look like a moron. Its really clever...I can appreciate it differently now that I'm several years beyond. Some things made me laugh out loud!
I used to love Fraggle Rock and The Muppet Show. Still do. Jim Henson is such a master mind. Love his sense of humor:thumbsup2

Happy birthday N! Hope it was a good one...and good luck to you Mom! Its going to be a fun ride. But God love and bless his heart, and give you strength!

Ok, this upcoming season should be the last for Miley. She wants to give up the tween set and go for more mature audiences. I'm sure in a couple of years, we'll be reading a whole ton of her in the tabloids. She just gives off that vibe to me.

The Jonas Brothers have a show on Nick. It is one of the worst shows I have ever seen. Even DD14 hates it. But the J Brothers are so yesterday.

We watch a lot of Disney and Nick shows....Wizards of Waverly Place, iCarly, Drake and Josh (even though they are old), Spongebob and Phineas and Ferb.

Those are probably the favorites right now.

Ooo, grunting, eye rolling, huffing, stomping feet, slamming doors, and the ever popular "This is so not fair!!!!). Life with a teen is so much fun.

I read a book once (sort self-help) and the lady from the time her kids were very young would respond to that with, Life's not fair (child's name) Life's not fair. each time they said it and she said it really gave them a better grasp of the fact that life is NOT fair. I see her point now, at my age.

I've seen Phineas and Ferb. Also fairly oddparents, which I liked for a bit, but can't commit to watching it any more than I have. Do not understand Spongebob...why are they screaming all the time? I'm old school...give me Thundercats or Voltron any day!

Kitty -- I am totally with you. Seems like everyone loves Spongebob, and each time I see it I TOTALLY don't get it. But at least it is there for those who do enjoy it.

It is so important these days to have good, smart, covered up role models for girls of all ages! I don't know who selena is, but if she's not tarty, I'm all for it.

I agree about Miley. She just seems to me to be two steps away from going off the deep end. I think her Disney contract is keeping her in check.

Bless BF's heart. We caught some of the Celebrity Fit Club on VH1 and he was like "WHY is Nicole Eggert on this show? She's not fat!". I love this man.

OMG, did any of you see Nicole on ET ( I think ) after that Corey Haim died? She looks as bad as that crazy Heidi whatever from ?The Hills? Plastic, fake and crazy!

D&D -- I love the way you think (RE: the party time spent with family) AMEN sister, AMEN.

Hey LITC! How are you? Feeling better?

That girl Heidi Montag really creeps me out. Her and her husband. They are such shallow people! But really, her face looks so scary and unfeeling. I don't even think she's much improved...just different. I was watching the Corey Haim stuff after he died...I actually thought it was the other one (Mouth from Goonies). Oops. But yeah, people who don't look like they used to, and they paid for it! If it brings them some happiness, then good for them. But how weird it must be to have so much of your life documented and you look....different.

Hi kitty! Seems that everyone here is better than yesterday, not yet healed, but I will still take it.

Is the dis wigging out for everyone? Or am I just lucky?

That heidi montag or whatever is SUPER scary. What the heck is wrong with her? Why do people like that end up with tons of money and power? That is what we want to highlight? Yikes!

good to hear you're feeling better. what problems are you having with the dis?

i think those fluffy celebrities will do anything for the exposure, so they get lots of it, and with that comes all sort of perks. If anything, I would hope they are smart enough to at least prepare for the day when they are not as in demand, or older, or too freaky to be played with by hollywood.

it is sad that their behaviors are rewarded. but i'd also like to think (hope) that they value it and use their celebrity towards charity and awareness of special causes. In the case of heidi and spencer, though, that's highly unlikely...

The pages won't load for me, or at least they are taking forever to load. Frustrating. I honestly don;t think that most celebrities "plan ahead" for the future. Just with that Corey Haim, they are saying he was penniless. I know they didn't make quite as much back then, but still it's more than any of us will ever make.

Hey everyone! I'm home early. I have to work tomorrow. I was tired Fri after just a half day of work but I think it was due more to my early breakfast.
No race---it's tomorrow while I'm working. JO had better not junx Jr!
We're getting April showers already too!
I'm worrieed about Duke! Can't sit in there and watch!

Welcome back M&N! i just watched the news...the showers are due in tomorrow. uh, hate to tell them, but its been raining since this morning.

i haven't been watching the tourney. I picked Duke too...and Michigan state. I may have a little chance to redeem myself!

I'm here...I've convinced BF to watch Amazing Race with me. He's complaining that I take the show so seriously. I was literally jumping up and down when my team wasn't eliminated today.

Even if Duke meets Michigan in the final, I had picked Kansas to win it all, so I have no hope. Ugh. But goodness, it has been exciting!

Good morning everyone!
The sun is shining and men are tromping all over my roof. They are installing our new heat/A/C. :cool1:

I think I'll root for Michigan St since they beat our local team. It was a pretty close game. It sounds nicer to say we were beat by the NCAA Champions.

Good afternoon! Its another galoshes day. Not raining hard enough to really use an umbrella, its that fine mist.

Took Jingle Bell to the vet this morning. I'm one of those crazy cat ladies who gets really nervous at the vet. I was almost crying saying goodbye to her. I always get nervous that she's allergic to the anesthesia and will die. I know, extreme. I was so nervous that I filled out her paperwork wrong! I made it the year 2030!

Poor Jingle Bell...nervous mommies are always a mess. Was it a regular check up? How many cat lives will be used up by 2030?

Jingle Bell went to get spayed. Spring is coming, and by all the eggs and bunnies all over the stores, it is a time to get (ahem) in the mood. I had wanted to get her fixed but with the weather being so unpredictable last month, I couldn't make an appointment and know I could drop/pick her up on time.

Anyway, baby girl is home now, a little groggy and I think a little PO'd at me. She's still in jail too...has to be kept separate until 8pm. Meow Ming is trying to break her out...

Even BF called to find out how she's doing. He knows I do not take the vet visits well....

A prisoner in her own house! How awful. It's cute the other one is trying to help. So bf really was checking on you!
