Good afternoon ladies! Well, I survived the night. Unfortunately, a tree in my backyard didn't. Half of it fell, and its large enough that I'm going to have to call someone to remove it. Ugh. But just glad that it didn't fall in the other direction and hit my car!

Tomorrow 10am tickets go on sale for Sting with the London Philharmonic at my local venue! I am very excited. And I read that Celtic Woman will be here also in July. There goes all my casino winnings. But at least I'm going to enjoy it. Warm July evenings under the stars, with Sting and the grandiose overtures of a full orchestra.

I saw that Russel Stover raspberry eggs in the advert for Rite Aid this week. They're mine I tell you, mine!

I'm in a good mood... We finally got our w-2. Now we have a month to figure out our taxes. Usually by now we have our refund back (if we get one). I don't like being so late.

Some of you met my friend Edward last year...he's gotten a job at a new lab and has been taking classes. The new job is looking on how to sponsor him. Great news! Things look bettter and better for him. Thank goodness!

DH is mad at me. He wanted to go down into his garage after dinner to tinker with his truck. Normally I have no problem with it but lately everytime he has done that, he'll go down for a few hours, come back up and then go to sleep. Between work and the truck, he never ever spends time with the kids. And I pointed that out to him and now he's mad and pouting. He probably won't talk to us for the rest of the night.

I take care of the house, helping the kids with their homework, cooking dinner, and even if I am on the computer, I still have to supervise the fighting between the girls. He claims he's always so tired except for when it comes to that darn truck. Honestly, sometimes I just want to push that darn truck off a cliff.

Little bit of truck envy have we??? They call them "she" for a reason.

Are they similar to the hearts that you get a Valentine's Day? If so those are very yummy! I got two hearts from DH for VDay.

Yes, they do make them in hearts for VD.

Its looking like my blender will be my "plus one" for the Hershey trip!

I've never been on a factory tour. But at the Hallmark museum you can see how they make bows for gift wrap and get to keep one. It was really cool!

Weren't you supposed to bring that blender last year too?? Don't forget this time.

The only factory tour I hade was at Jelly Belly. And, really, it was more like their distribution center. But they did show us a video of how Jelly Belly makes those yummy beans!!! Love the JBs!!!!!

I wasn't expecting the hearts as we agreed no card exchange. We did go out to dinner but we had a GC to use so it's not like he took me out. Still worked though.

DH could care less if he ever gets anything for Birthdays, Christmas, etc. I on the other hand am a total Gift Hog and want whatever I can get.

Usually we don't do VD stuff, except a card and maybe get each other some of our favorite candy. However this year was the 25th anniversary of the day we met so DH bought me flowers!

Good morning TKers!

What a dark and damp day it's started out to be today. Still raining here with flooding all across the state of NH. Had a freaky accident happen on one of our Interstates. A 50+ foot pine tree fell across both lanes of I93 Southbound and killed a man who was driving with his wife and 2yr old child. They haven't said whether the tree fell on the car or if the car drove into the downed tree. High winds and heavy rains are being blamed.

I was suppose to work today but had to call in as DS12 is home sick. I was going back and forth trying to decide if I could leave him home by himself. Bad Mom, Good Mom. Bad Mom, Good Mom. So, I asked him what he wanted and he said, "I think you should stay home." Here I am.

No big plans for the day other then taking care of a sick kid and doing chores that aren't too loud so that I don't bother the poor kid.

Good morning ladies. Happy Monday. The storm is slowly getting out of here. Still grey and gloomy and kinda spitting rather than raining. Just plain yucky outside. The weather this weekend really has me having to go get new windshield wipers....

Pikester...sorry to hear DS is feeling sick. Poor dear! Its nice that he still needs his Mommy too. Have a nice, quiet day and feel better DS!

D&D...I didn't have a blender last year, so I wasn't supposed to bring in last summer. I've never made anything other than smoothies, so I just buy those cocktail mixers? I may have to stop at the liquor store and do some research.

Waiting breathlessly for 10am to roll around and get my Sting tickets! I thought I'd head over to Bethel Woods and go to the box office but its closed seasonally. I've never been to the Woodstock museum there and thought I'd make a day of it, but that'll have to wait for another day...but this weather would have been perfectly reminiscent of those rainy days in 1969.

I have to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I let my DS12 watch Family Guy Star Wars both The Blue Harvest and Something, Something, Something Darkside....they have swears. Even a couple of "F" words. I didn't realize because the TV version bleeps stuff out so I just figure that they didn't really use it but just wanted everyone to think they used it. Nope, they really use it. They use it more in the second one. Didn't realize it until after DS12 watched and, it's true, DS8 had snuck a peak.

With all this candy talk, I'm glad I got some sugar-free choc covered raisins on teh way home. I have not seen the sf Russel Stover Easter candy yet. Not many places carry sf...

We had lots of wind over the weekend too...not sure how much rain but there was flooding. Saw trees down on the news here too. The flat rubber roof at a grocery store bubbled up and loosened the refrig units on the roof. It felt like a hurricane when we were shopping Sat am. Glad nothing hit the house Kitty. I was thinking about my house and the trees over the weekend but just little sticks around. I do see more dampness in the basement though. I do need to get on that...have to find some one to give estimates.

I'll send you ours. She just broke a nail and now there's blood all over the patio. Plus she's now limping on her front leg. I don't know how she manages to hurt herself.

I would be happier about out tax refund if it wasn't going toward home repair.
