I'm still here.....just bopping around the web looking for other info on Ghost Tours.

Oh HI Pikester...I didn't see your post before I posted...see how slow I am??? Don't you have NetZero for email? I am thinking of changing. Do you have a little box? I'm trying ti figure out difference between DSL and dial up. I don't want to pay a lot for it but would like a better service than dial up. Anyone with opinions let me know. My personal researcher, JO, is on it too! I almost typed busybody but decided I had better not!

Yes we have NetZeroDSL as our internet provider. DH said it was around $25 a month but it was so worth it to get faster loading. We have one of those little boxes so we can still get phone calls while we are on the net.

Great---thanks Pikester.

I asked another friend about Gettysburg and ghost tours. She never did one. She did suggest the Civil Was Museum in Harrisburg---look that up JO! She also said her boys liked the wax museum in Gettysburg but that was a while ago. Dis anyone see anything about an electric map there in their searches? I think they remodeled it but maybe they closed it.

So are we getting down to track smack tonight JO? Or is it a lost cause?

I found a website for the Gettysburg Tour Center http://gettysburgbattlefieldtours.com/ and they mention places like

Soilders National Museum
Jennie Wade House
battlefield Bus Tours
Lincoln Train Museum
Hall of Presidents & First Ladies
Ghostly Images of Gettysburg
Old Gettysburg Village Shoppes

You can do package plans or value plans through them.

M&N, I have to admit, I didn't see much of the race this week. When I was home, I was mostly watching the hockey game.

Are they off this week?

Pikester, I've read that Devil's Den is suppose to be really haunted. I thought I saw something about Seminary Hill (?) too. I'll look into those places you posted too.

I may have to ride over there this spring to see what's what! It's been several years since I've done any actual sight seeing there. We drive through a little when we go to the Round Barn for apples and go to Boyd's Bears. I love eating at the Dobbin House too.

Aww, come on, Pikester. I saw they even have a self guided tour of Devil's Den. Think of the fun we (I :rolleyes1) could have.

Have a nice night.

Devils Den is a neat place. The kids will love running around. In a way, using the cd will allow you to go at your own pace and get out at more places but I do thing the bus tour lets you out there...maybe it was a different spot. Anyways, you can always drive around on your own too.

There are so many options out there for a tour that I'm not sure what is best. I do like this one a lot.

It sounds as though you get to go inside Robert E. Lee's Headquarters which I've read is the most haunted place there.

We might have to miss the race this weekend too unless DH has off on Saturday. We are taking the kids out to eat and then to see Alice In Wonderland.

I'm not sure I want to see Alice. Are you doing the 3D?

I am just getting tired of Jimmie always getting up there. There was a problem with the caution lights at the beginning. I didn't see it but my friend said they just kept going off so they had to throw the flag anyway because the drivers slowed up when the lights came on...I think she said it happened 3times. The race was not that exciting...maybe I just wasn't that in to it either. I sure blew the picks. I went by my book what lists the top 10 finishers there. I was almost sorry I didn't pick Jr because he did have good practice times.

No, not in 3D. DD14 doesn't really care for 3D movies so we'll just see the regular version. But the kids are excited to see it and so am I. It's got JD in it, what's not to love.:love: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am so tired of the Jimmie show. When I have watched the races, sometimes I feel as though I'm just watching to see if he wrecks instead of for the actual race.

My picks stank too. You are not alone on that one.

Anyone who has had to dress children will appreciate this!

The Cowboy Boots

Did you hear about the Texas teacher who was helping one of her kindergarten students put on his cowboy boots?

He asked for help and she could see why.

Even with her pulling and him pushing, the little boots still didn't want to go on.

By the time they got the second boot on, she had worked up a sweat.

She almost cried when the little boy said, 'Teacher, they're on the wrong feet.' She looked, and sure enough, they were.

It wasn't any easier pulling the boots off than it was putting them on. She managed to keep her cool as together they worked to get the boots back on, this time on the right feet.

He then announced, 'These aren't my boots.'

She bit her tongue rather than get right in his face and scream,
'Why didn't you say so?', like she wanted to. Once again, she struggled to help him pull the ill-fitting boots off his little feet. No sooner had they gotten the boots off when he said, 'They're my brother's boots. My Mom made me wear 'em.'

Now she didn't know if she should laugh or cry. But, she mustered up what grace and courage she had left to wrestle the boots on his feet again.

Helping him into his coat, she asked, 'Now, where are your mittens?'

He said, 'I stuffed 'em in the toes of my boots.'

She will be eligible for parole in three years.

I rest my case! Racing is just bad this year! :rotfl:

That was funny, M&N.

I had a good week last week. I thought too much about my picks this week instead of just clicking away. I'll do better next week. :rolleyes1
