What the heck is going on with the weather. I have the coverage of the tsunami on.

2 earthquakes in 2 days. Horrible winds and snow in the NE. Snow in Texas. I can't remember the weather being this unpredictable and horrible in recent years.

In the Percy Jackson series, when there are so many natural disasters, its really the work of the Greek gods. It seem the gods are really angry with us.

Earthquakes in Haiti, Japan, and now Chile. They're not even on the same tectonic plates. Its not a good sign at all.

omg...I just read the one of Marie Osmond's sons took his own life last night by jumping off a building. This after "Boner" from Growing Pains hung himself. What is going on in the world?

It seems the tsunami missed Hawaii. Geez...its getting harrowing just to turn on the news.

Do you even have to ask me? OLYMPICS! I'm a bit bummed...my beloved Norway just lost to Canada for the gold. But they did interview my sweetie Thomas...he's so handsome!

The boys are watching Matrix and DH is almost asleep in the recliner.

My day was OK. I should have been doing chores but I just didn't feel like it. Watched CNN for updates on the quake and tsumani. Went out dinner and have pretty much been watching TV since we got home. DS12 was watching X-Files that we got on DVD from Netflix, he's really liking it.

is he watching the x-files movie or the tv show? I can't wait to meet your kids, we have lots of the same interests! In truth, I'm pretty much a sci-fi nerd, although I will quantify that by saying although i've seen a lot of Star Trek, I'm far more a fan of Star Wars.

I was watching the news earlier too. Its just so crazy to watch everything that is happening and knowing its just Mother Nature, there's nothing really we can do about it.

The X-Files TV show. We're trying to watch everything in order.

DS12 loves Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Bourne Trilogy and Harry Potter. I've gotten him into Airplane, Hot Shots, Top Secret and sometime I have to have him watch the Naked Gun movies. I'm a big fan of those silly moves. "Don't call me Shirley."

Now you have me thinking...I have most of the X-files shows on DVD. I even went to a convention back in its heyday. I'm working through the first season of Jericho. I was going to start on ER next, but I may try some Mulder and Scully.

Aren't some of the episodes really gory and disgusting? It was fantastic for its day. No one was really doing it like that at the time.

Hey All!!!

No Olympics for me tonight. I've decided to give DH a break so I can watch all day tomorrow. Well, in between watching the race.

I had to go and buy new sneakers for both me and DD14. She had to have Converse while I get mine from Payless. I don't like sneakers that have a very hard sole....they make my feet hurt. So I have to get the Champion ones from Payless. I don't know what I'm going to do if they discontinue this certain style.

We just finished Disc 2 of Season 2. It's funny to see Mulder and Scully using these huge computers and phones.

He loves Spaceballs! My only problem is that quite a few of the movies I mentioned have Adult Language, Situations and References in them. I figure if he has any questions he can ask me but it still makes me a little nervous letting him watch them. Oh well, I suppose he'll hear or see it sometime. Right now he is big into Family Guy which is a whole other thing when it comes to AL, S and R!

JOCA...I totally don't get the Converse thing. I know they're supposed to be cute, but they are so heavy and really are not comfy for me. I'm a big Adidas fan (on clearance of course). I find they fit my feet the best. I have a good arch, but a wide foot which makes things uncomfortable.

I think they are super cute too but I agree, they are way too heavy. But it's the in-thing for her and really, it's the only name brand she will ask for. She likes all the name brand clothes but never expects them. But those are always bought on clearance.

I have a practically brand new pair of sneakers I bought last year. Felt great in the store until I decided to wear them for a whole day. Never again. I'll stick with my payless sneakers.
