well, I tried to take some picks of the great Snowzilla of '10, but since there's no contrast, it just looks white. Looks like my mom (despite risking my life in the process) picked a great time to go on vacay!

Still no DirecTv. Feeling kinda old school Little House on the Prarie around here except with toilets and heat. Getting ready to start Jericho right now. Maybe not a good time to watch a tv show about the end of society, but Brothers and Sisters is too dramatic. maybe some feel good rom-coms? I've been itching to watch While You were Sleeping again...

I've got wind and flurries. With nothing out there mom and I decided to keep out hair appointments. She was going to bus it home too but I convinced her to go to Longhorne for lunch---YUM! Now have leftovers for tonight too. They are still saying maybe 3 for us but blowing. On my way home it was blowing over a road pretty hard...and that was not much new snow to blow.
Was having problems getting on here. My computer kept getting kicked off aol and when I got on I could not get the email to open. I did send but not open. I was having awful static in my phone line so maybe that was it.
Hope everything goes ok with dad Wendy.

It's still snowing here and the wind is just starting to pick up. Nothing has stuck to the roads or sidewalks at all. Stupid school for canceling.

They are saying the worst is suppose to come tonight. And in honor of having to buy bread, eggs and milk, we are having breakfast for dinner.

Really? You guys are getting nothing? Wow, that's jus amazing here. Looking out the window, it looks like angels are out there just pouring buckets of snow on us. I've never seen it snow so hard.

I am glad that you're not suffering along with us up here, though.

Yummy, Longhorn. Do they still have that baked sweet potato thing? I haven't been there in ages. Did you join their club too M&N? They send you free apps all the time....

I'm trying to hold out in bringing out the "staples". Have them on hand though, just in case...

Hello ladies!

Had to work today so right now is the first time that I've been able to get on here. We've had a nasty rain/mix all day today and I don't think we are going to get any snow. It's so wet around here that if the temps get down to freezing over night there could be a big mess to deal with in the morning.

DS8 was just looking over my shoulder at the Tickers that we all have for the Hershey trip. I pointed out the fact that M&N, JO and Magikitty were going to be in Hershey and at the same hotel as we are when we go. He said, "Wow, they all want to meet us?!" I said, "Yup." I told him that Jo had kids that he could meet but what he really wanted to know was if Magikitty was going to bring her cat. I told him "No".

Funny story I have to share from today. I was in a Kinder class this morning covering for the teacher while she was in a meeting. We were all sitting around in a circle with the "Talking Stick" that allows the person holding it to tell us about what they did on the snow day we had yesterday. Well, one of the classroom aides had the talking stick and shared that her new puppy had to go outside in the deep snow yesterday to use the restroom but he didn't make it to the ground and went on their deck. One of the kids asked if he went pee or poop. The aide said that he did both. Another child asked if he did it at the same time. The aide said no with a little laugh. A little girl piped up to say that she does both at the same time! Kids!

Jo: My cruise date for 2012 is whatever week June 27th falls on. I want to celebrate my Bday on the ship. OK, just looked it up. I believe the cruise leaves on Sundays and in 2012 that would be June 24th.

Well, we had no school today, and what a waste! Yes, it's snowed all day. But the roads are just wet, and in some places, not even very wet. My car was outside all day, and nothing accumulated on it. We may have gotten as much as an inch of snow, but only on the grassy surfaces. It's just now starting to stick to the car and parts of the driveway. School has been cancelled for tomorrow. I sure hope it's another wasted snow day! I need to be able to get back home by noon for my elliptical delivery. The kids are with their father, and DD is already asking when I am coming to get her. I told her if I can get home tomorrow, I will come get her and then she can stay here at Grammy and Grandpa's with me tomorrow night.

My Dad starts dialysis at home tonite, which is why I am here. The nurse came this morning and got him all set up, and we found some minor changes we needed to make in the room. I copied all the directions for the procedure and made a poster so he can follow the steps without having to turn the pages in a book--much easier and cleaner! I arranged all the drawers and labeled them so he knows at a glance where everything is. Hopefully it will all work out well. Dad says he feels ready, and he's pretty confident about the procedure. I'm just really glad that I'm here for backup, just in case. I'm sure he can do just fine, but I think we'll both feel better this way. It'll be interesting to see how Mom does with it.

Well, I'm gonna go do some homework and maybe read a little, but first I have to harvest my crops!

Still raining here. I have my fingers crossed for a 2hr delay tomorrow. I am subbing so making the day 2 hrs shorter would be great.

It's just going to be me and my Mom so I don't have to worry about the kids being out of school; DH will have to deal with them.

I'm with you about the dishes Magi, I just put them in the dishwasher.

Most of the roads are closed in the towns around here. Emergency vehicles only. Its so scary. Its snowing so hard it looks more like fog is blanketing the street...but its just snowing too much. I have to figure out how to get snow off the roof tomorrow.

I'd love to pull off a solo trip but I'm not making any promises about that.

Wendy, no french toast. We had omelets. I never have the energy to cook early in the morning so we only have breakfast food at dinner time.

I think it would be AWESOME if some of my fellow TKers could join us for a cruise but if nobody can I totally understand. I also figured that if any of you are able to go it's "your vacation too" so we should be able to spend most of the time with our families (if they go) and just have certain times that we meet up at a pool or for lunch or something.

Kids are finally in bed! I had DS8 in bed at 8:30PM but he couldn't sleep because of the rain. Just sent him back to bed and should be OK because DS12 is now upstairs in his room; sort of keeping DS8 company.

Hi everyone! I'm in Las Vegas right now. DD brought her laptop and we have free WIFI. Problem is the letters have worn off the keyboard. I'm surprised that I remembered my password.
DH has noticed there is a NASCAR race Saturday. I keep reminding him that we have a wedding to attend. Plus it's supposed to rain.
