Ok, the weatherman just used the term "historic storm". Now I'm really scared. He's predicting 1-2 feet overnight!

Where's my Olympics? Hockey is at 3, but there's nothing on now?

There are so many different weather reports out there, I don't know what to believe anymore. Accu-weather is now saying 12-24 inches.

Oh, and the maps I have looked at has label the area as "paralyzing blizzard" Let them be wrong for once.

Just sent in a quote request for a cruise in 2012 so I will be put in the files. I went with Kelsie so I hope it's the same one that you mentioned Jo as she was the only Kelsie on there.

Holy crap! Paralyzing blizzard sounds absolutley terrifying. I think I'm supposed to be preparing, but I can't even imagine. I have enough heating oil, bottled water, food and stuff. I guess the worst part is convincing myself to get out there and shovel. Otherwise, it'll just be an indoor holiday.

I went to Blockbuster the other day and they have those used DVD specials...5 for $20. Included were some entire season tv shows! I got the first season of Jericho, and the first two seasons of Brothers and Sisters and two other films. That's a lot of to watch...maybe I need this blizzard! oh, the also had a free promo of 2 sodas and thing of candy and some microwave popcorn included!

Yeah Pikester! Congrats on the cruise TA!

When I get to go on a cruise, I'll have to ask you for advice.

I try, believe me. I try to live like a queen with a pauper's budget. That being said, at last total, I have over $450 saved from my rebates and survey since my last Disney trip in October. At this rate, I may be able to squeeze in a trip by fall.

In terms of a cruise, I'm thinking maybe just a 3 or 4 day cruise just to see if we'll enjoy it. what are you looking for? How did you narrow down all the options out there? It just seems there are so many different kinds...

Did y'all see a movie called Taken with Liam Neeson? Its on HBO right now. I'm on the edge of my seat! Its so scary!

My sister met him when his wife was ill at her hospital. She said that the entire family were so kind and gracious. She's also taken care of MK Olsen, who she said was not nice at all...and she frequently see a certain lady newscaster who seems to have a little problem with the drink....

Since it's my Mom and I we wanted to do a Disney Cruise no matter the price. Well, of course the price matters but what I mean is that we did not want to do another cruise line even though they are a little less expensive.

A 5 day seems perfect, not too short, not too long. From what I can tell the 5 day Disney Cruises are to the Bahamas which is fine with me and I chose a 2 stops at Castaway Cay with a 1 stop at Nassua because I think I'll feel more comfortable at the CC with just being able to lounge around. I chose to go in June since my birthday is June 27th

I know a few TKers mentioned going at the same time we are and that is OK with me but I'm not sure if they really will or not. Anyone?

I saw Taken and thought it was good. There were a few points when I wanted to reach through the screen and slap the mother though.

I know! I may not have kids, but if one of mine were kidnapped, I'd be going to Paris to look for her too. And she is so bitter and mean to him.

Wow, a cruise sounds so nice! I can't even think a way to narrow it down. Are the Disney cruises too family oriented? I mean, are there a lot of adult cruisers also? See, we're not really beach people, but I think for a few days, we could pretend to be. What is included with the Disney cruise? Drinks extra like on others? Or is it just paying for the room and meals....

Pikester, I was gonna ask if the offer to join the cruise was still open. It's still on the table for me. Next year is all booked up with vacation plans already, but 2012 is totally free.

The offer is still open to join the cruise. I figure you choose whatever you want for staterooms so we could be all over the ship but we can have times to meet and then do stuff on our own if we want.

Since we really like Disney we want to experience the characters and shows and there are adult only pools, clubs and bars. The price includes your meals and drinks at dinner, except adult beverages. You do have to pay for soda if you go to a bar but there is a deck that has a beverage station (Deck 9 maybe?) where the soda is part of the price. I guess there are plastic cups to put your soda in but some people bring their resort mugs to dump the drink from the cup into. I guess it's a big no-no put your drink right in the cup that you brought. Don't know why as you do it at the resorts. :confused3 I pre-ordered the Disney Cruise Passporter that is coming out in April so I'm hoping that has a lot of info in it.

Oh and we are booking on the new ship, Disney Dream.

Ack...you guys are making it seem so good to go on the cruise! You're killing my budget!

Just went out and shoveled the walkway. Holy cow! The snow is really heavy! DS12 went out a couple of hours ago and shoveled half of the driveway so that DH could get up it when he gets home from work. I had to clean the end because the plow came through and plugged it up.

I keep hearing that the earlier you book the better as prices often go up which is why I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before pricing comes out at the end of the Summer, early Fall or whenever it comes out. I want to be ready. My fingers are crossed that there will be some good OBC and priced right flights.

I need to go and and just get a general idea of the prices for this. And if we don't take one before then, I don't know if I'd be able to ditch the family and go by myself. They just have have my head on that idea.

Did you say cruise? I wanna go...but it is a lot more expensive for just 1 in the room.
Not sure how much we are getting...depends on how it comes around as to where the line is drawn...hopefully I'm too far west and get 1-3. Going to check the news at 5.
I cancelled my hair cut for tomorrow anyway...

Got on to post this...my friend just called and said it was all that was on their tv: (there's probably a thread about it going....)

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 24) - An employee at SeaWorld Orlando has died after being attacked by a killer whale.

Orange County Fire Rescue spokesman John Mulhall says paramedics were called Wednesday afternoon to the Shamu Stadium at the theme park resort where they found a worker who could not be revived.

Park guest Victoria Biniak told WKMG-TV that the trainer had just finished explaining to the audience the show they were about to see.

Biniak told the station the whale suddenly came up from the water, grabbed the trainer around the waist and "thrashed her all around" to the point the trainer's shoe fell off.

The guests were evacuated and the park was closed.
