Speaking of teachers, I need to hit the bed early tonight since I sub tomorrow. I'll have three kindergartens, a first grade, a third grade and a fourth grade. Pray for strength! She said it was Once Upon a Time Day so I'll be doing fairy tales.

Stupid computer! I had planned on hanging around a little longer last night but the computer froze up!


Today is a snow day for the kids. DS8 is playing with his NDS and DS12 is watching Looney Toons. Gotta love Bugs Bunny!

So how much snow did you get?

We didn't get any snow yesterday. Just some sleet that has melted away. Tonight/tomorrow morning is suppose to be the "big" one, or so they say. I've heard predictions from 3-6 inches all the way up to 2 feet of snow. Gotta love winter......NOT!

How much did you end up with?

I think we've gotten about 8 inches so far and the snow is still coming down.

Are you suppose to get any snow from the second storm that is coming?

JOCAmom, no snow for us although it did about 10 miles away. We must have been under a different cloud. It is plenty cold out there.

Pikester, we love Bugs Bunny at our house. Good way to start the day. DS was just listening to one of the classical music compositions from one episode a few days ago.

I think we are suppose to get something from the next storm but I'm not sure if it's snow, mix, or rain. I have to make sure to check out the news at noon so I can see what the weatherman is saying.

Bugs Bunny is my favorite too! The things I've learned from that cartoon....

OK, I need some opinions as I'm having a hard time making up my mind. As you know, my Mom and I are going on a cruise in June 2012. I'm having a hard time trying to decided how I want to book it. I know, I know. The cruise is 2 years away but the dates will more then likely be released sometime this Fall so I need to decided fairly soon what I want to do and set it up.

Do I go with a local TA?
Use AAA?
Use Dreams Unlimited or Small World as they offer really good OBC that can be combined with Disney Visa offers?


I'd love to get as much OBC as I can so that we can do an excursion or even a spa without cutting to deeply into our wallets but I'm worried about the service that I will get with them.

Morning JOCA. Yep, the weather has been nutty. I am ready for spring.... well except for all the work that needs to be done. The big snow knocked down a ton of limbs and one huge oak tree and popped all our gutter straps. I imagine I will be wrangled in to assist on those projects PLUS all the garden work projects that I have of my own.

Pikester, at least for the most part Bugs Bunny was fairly safe as to what you could learn. With some of today's cartoons there is no telling what you may learn!
Can't help you on the trip. Never taken a cruise or used a travel agent. I am sure you will have a fantastic time no matter what you decide. I wish my mom were still round to take a cruise with.

Morning ladies! I'm barely awake...didn't even get my coffee yet...

Well, we ended up with over a foot of snow last night. They're predicting another foot with tonight's storm with more snow the day after! Its just too comical at this point. Or I could still be fuzzy brained from last night's trip.

I've basically lived in upstate NY for most of my life and I've never had the roads closed like that. It was mostly due to tractor trailers not being able to get up the mountains, with some cars thrown in. THose of us with 4wd tried to make it up the hills. We only skidded out once, and that was so scary for me. Otherwise, it was just slow and steady.

Do they have cruise travel agents? I would think they would be best to ask. You're definitely taking a Disney cruise? Maybe contact a bunch of different agents and see which one you feel will give you the best attention and care...

I found a TA that has a franchise of CruiseOne. I tried looking up reviews for CruiseOne but couldn't find anything; nothing good or bad about them.

We've used AAA before but from what I understand they can be hit or miss. I have no problem booking myself but would love to have the OBC that I would get by booking with Unlimited or SmallWorld. Atleast I know where to find the owner of Unlimited if there is a problem.

I've discussed the options with my Mom but it's been left up to me to decided since I'm in charge she said.

Morning MK. I usually click on the little little globe up on the left next to where it says facebook. That will drop down box with all your notifications. In that box, don't click on the person's name but the word status in each listing. That always takes me to whatever they wrote.

Pikester, if you decide to go with DU, I've heard Kelsey is a great cruise TA. Lots of good reviews of her over on the cruise forum.

Thanks Jo for the TA name. I was looking at the DU website today and it says that while Disney has not released 2012 dates as of yet that we can just pick a 2011 date then write in our 2012 date in the special request box. They will then keep our request on file and take care of it when the dates come out. Not sure what they will be offering for OBC for 2012 but right now I can get $75 and if I use my DV card I can get $50 from them for a total of $125. Hopefully it will be similar so we can put that towards something fun.
