I had to go searching for our total.

The plows are so busy on our street that they probably won't get to any of the side streets anytime tonight. And they have that "law" here too about putting chairs out. People still do it and most people are respectful of it. But there will be people who move them and other people who get really mad about it.

We are watching Forensic Files. They are doing a case from Hummelstown.

I don't recall any bad cases from Hummelstown.

I need to get to bed...shoveling to do tomorrow...night.

Wendy, you know, this just means we have to plan another tker meet.

And I have to ask you about the dog collar. Did you actually use it on your dog at one time? Did it work?

I had gotten it for Duke becuase he had a serious barking problem. I figured there was no sense in doing it over the summer, since we were away more than we were here. Planned it for the fall, and then went for knee replacements nd forgot all bout it for awhile. By the time I had my act together after surgery and the holidays, he was going blind, as was MUCH less barky. He's really just a quiet til someone comes to the door, and as soon as he knows who it is, h's fine too.

I braved the storm early this afternoon to go to the gym. OK, I'm crazy, I admit it. When I went at 1:30, the roads were fine, and it was sleeting. When I came home about 2:30, it was getting ugly, especially when turning the corners. I was glad I went when I did, since after that point I wasn't leaving the house! We'd had 5" by 9 am. Then we had a couple hours of sleet, and then the snow picked up again. Between 1:30 and 5:30 pm we got another 7". It has continued to snow quite heavily since then (another 6 hours), and I haven't been out to measure again, but I'd bet on aat least 15-16 inches all together. And this is on top of the 16 inches we got last weekend.

I am not amused. Damn sn*w!!

Good morning ladies! Yes, it has stopped snowing! We got somewhere about a foot of snow. All I know is that its just EVERYWHERE. There's really no place to put it. Just piles and piles of the white stuff.

What is this that you're talking about chairs? You mean like lawn furniture in the snow?

Wendy, you are crazy to have gone to the gym in the storm. But that's true dedication! Glad you got your workout in and you got home before it got too bad.

Let's have a good day everyone! Opening ceremonies tomorrow night! Go Team USA!

The sun is out...sidewalk shoveled...Pat can get out of his house (not that he's going anywhere today)...all is well with the world!

Yeah...lawn chairs or anything to save the space...although if I wnated one bad enough, I would move it! In some areas their are just more cars than places on the street without the snow taking up space. Mom is ticked off. A neighbor has a handicapped space in front of her house. (You have to pay to have the signs up.) She was not home (I think in a nursing home or something) and people used her space to pile the snow. Now someone is having to get all that snow out with no where to go with it.

I did have help shoveling...I have great neighbors. It's piled up very high. I want to try and upload some pics but not sure with this slow computer how that'll go because I have a lot of other pics on the memory card.

I've got racing on this afternoon...........

Good afternoon! The sun is shining today and it just looks beautiful outside. Well, except for all the snow.

Wendy, our dog has a serious barking problem. Everything makes her bark. We have a fairly large yard for her to run around in but we can't put her out there because of her barking. We've tried training her using treats, hand signals, etc but nothing works. We are at our wits end.

And yay for getting to the gym. I didn't even leave my house once yesterday.

Glad everyone made it through the storm. We had rain last night, now the sun is out...not much of a storm for us.
I can't stand the Dr Phil family. What a mess. I watch for a few minutes at a time. Do the girls pick lousy boyfriends because their dad is a jerk?

Heard from my friend in Orlando. It went down to 34 last night with wind chill in the 20's. They had ice on their front windows. It will only get to about 52 today...and that's cold for them. She said the tourists are buying up sweatshirts like crazy! Her hubby works at a character outlet store.

M&N...I haven't read those books. Apparently there are 11 of them? I read through that thread and it seems that most people aren't pleased with the casting of Katherine Heigl. I don't like her at all. I enjoyed her for about a month on Grey's Anatomy, and then her character got annoying.

She's one of those people that the more I knew about her and watched her interviews, the less impressed I was about her. Let's just say she got too big for her britches IMO.

The posters said that the main character is supposed to be smart and tough and from New Jersey...so not Katherine Heigl.

Do you read the books? Do you recommend them? I'm on book two of the Mortal Instruments trilogy--another teen series. I really like them but I had a nightmare the other day and BF said I should stop reading them. Yeah, right! Doesn't he know if I don't finish the story still lives in my head? I MUST finish the series so I can move on...

Alexander McQueen was found dead in his apartment. I'm sad. Supposedly he was so distraught over the loss of his mother he hung himself. Such a terrible loss. What a brilliant designer he was. He was only a few years older than me...

There are more than 11...I think the series has 14. They are very light, funny, some mystery. Look up her web page. I enjoy them...they make me laugh at times. I mean--it's definitely not good 'literature' but good reading.

My house...

That's the way I feel about the Sukie Stackhouse novels. Definitely entertaining, hardly life-changing. And sometimes that's just what you need a book to be.

JO, that's why we got a bark collar for Duke. You put it on the dog, and it has a remote control. Any time there is unwanted barking you push a button and the dog gets zapped. (not as bad as it sounds, and not harmful, just uncomfortable) Supposedly they really do work. We never found out, becuase Duke went blind and now he doesn't go out on his own so he doesn't bark!

What kind of dog do you have? If it's a small one, I can send you the collar I never used!

Grant came to snow blow the driveway today and said that on top of the 5 inches we got Tuesday night (and the 16 from the weekend) we got another 13. That's a total of 34 inches of snow!!:scared1: This stuff isn't gonna melt before May!

Drive by Hello!!!

Been working and shoveling snow. We got about 10 inches but darn if those WI school don't stay OPEN!!!!:headache: I could have used the off day. Wish I had the power to call off school like the principal. He won't share the code w/ me.

Hope all is well. Will catch up later. :drinking1

Is this a family that dr phil is helping? I thought he had boys??

Oh, let me tell! Years ago, Dr. Phil had this family on. There were two daughters, the older one, Alex was 15 and pregnant. She didn't know if she wanted to keep the baby or give it up for adoption. So that was the initial issue with the family.

Since then, Alexandra had her little boy, got married to a guy, had a little girl, he went to jail, allegedly beat her up, and has gotten divorced. She had a new boyfriend, one who claimed that Alex's sister, Catherine, has been spending time with. The sisters HATE each other and are overall terrible to their parents. The father, Marty, has anger issues, and the mother had an affair.

Its a huge mess and despite the attention and aid of Dr Phil and his staff, they are just getting more and more insane.

Dr. Phil has two sons...the older one has written books and married a Playboy playmate. I don't know much about the younger one.

Thought I would post a couple of pictures of our snow.

Looks good Michele! But, why couldn't we have gotten some of that here?

Oh well.

DH and DS12 are watching Survivor and I'm watching it when I'm not typing or reading on here. Chickens!
