I totally agree! Its kinda like free dining on a boat. He doesn't like to meet people and while I can picture myself reading out on the water, he has no idea what he would do. But that's the fun of it, right?

He just doesn't have an adventurous streak (that's what I'm for) and if he's not familiar with it, he's not into it. It took me forever to convince him to do Disney, and I practically had to make a powerpoint presentation to make my case. I keep threatening to take a cruise without him, and he tells me to have fun without him. Pooper-head.

book one. i bet he changes his mind...lolol. DH is like that or was. he isn't as bad now. he has liked every place I have made him go. have you guys priced cruises with Disney?

I think you need to make another presentation for him. Don't most of ships have casinos, movies and theater shows? I think some of them have comedy shows too.

I have to do more research myself. He's not a good gambler (although I can be). Movies and shows would be great.

I just have to bide my time and pounce. I'm thinking come fall, when ordinarily I'd be planning the heck out of an Orlando trip, I can load up the guilt and have my cruisin' way with him....

So, did you get the snow they were predicting? I find it incredulous that my snow vortex isn't getting any of the white stuff with this storm.

A fine snow just started. The did predict 2pm for the start. Now I'm worried that the storm is moving much slower than they thought and we will get more snow.

This winter has been strange. Usually you, and us, get hit constantly. But this year it's been Philly, Baltimore and DC getting hammered.

And those cities cannot handle big snows at all. I saw a report that DC has a snow threshold...after a certain amount of snow, all above ground public transportation closes down. That's just crazy to me...we get hammered with feet of snow (and a lot of places north of me get it evern worse) and we stil have to carry on.

I have some friends down that way and they all seem so ill-equipped for snow. I think the last time we had public transpo shut down here was the blizzard of 96. That time we got 2.5 feet of snow in one day.

Even now when we get 6 or so inches, the city buses will be cruising along like the roads are dry. I may not like the snow but it doesn't really faze me anymore. To me, it's just life in the northeast.

I agree...I know how to handle snow. If I were to move and have to deal with other natural occurences like hurricanes and wildfires, I'd be completely freaking out coz its just so out of my league.

I think I could handle the hurricanes but the wildfires would do me in.

I think the worse to deal with would be earthquakes. You can't prepare for them. They just happen and you have to hope you are lucky.
