Would it just be you and DH then? How many days are you looking at? April is gorgeous for Washington DC, and they have three airports that you could us. I'm not sure when the cherry blossoms festival is, but it really cool. But I love DC anytime of year.

With the Olympics, Vancouver is on my mind. Great city, as it Seattle. Totally different vibe than the east coast. Especially if you're outdoorsy at all, the cities are great in the springtime.

Maybe go to Orlando, but do Sea World and Universal instead?

I was possibly thinking the cherry blossom fest. in DC, and just looked at orlando-trust me when I say if I hit Orlando and do not take DH to Disney I will be :worship: lolol. I am thinking the following.... call my cousin see if condo is still available...do what you said...tour florida...check out maybe Disneyland....or maybe (after I check out flight status) back to Maui. I dunno..this stinks...I cant make up my mind. I guess I need to see who has best discount for airline employees before I do anything

I already plan on hitting them this fall with free dining. (I think it is april they start selling.)- at last min decided to join you guys in Hershey... DD really wants to do NY . I just don't know. I even considered getting her passport and heading out...but where...lololol

Aww, Gina, I wish I had your problem. :rotfl:

I didn't see a cruise on your list of things to do?

Wow, now I understand why you have such a dilemma! usually the airfare is the deal breaker for me...I can find good cheap lodging and I can usually entertain myself. But if I could go anywhere?

For me, it would be Europe. But the exchange rate really takes a bite out the wallet. I do like to go places new, but I'm a big culture hound. I like to see monuments and museums and such. Definitely not a beach person (funny, coz my people are tropical). A cruise would be exciting too...

Ack, its a big beautiful world out there and so much to see and do!

I havent found any that will match on the dates we want....:rotfl2:
with the discounts and flights its hard not to go, go, go kwim? last year my Maui trip only cost me around 1200. for a week...that was in a great area, a condo and cheap rental car...like with disney, I get a discount 40-50 off room, rack rate...not always a great deal...but can be...I can do disney cruise cheap...but the dates stink...I should have looked into this sooner.

I completely agree....we have a time share that I either get one set week in Orlando (Memorial day week) or two weeks somewhere else. I'd love to use it, but finding someone to go with me is the hard part! there are so many places I could trade with, its just a matter of getting there!

I did try to use the timeshare for the Hershey trip...but there's no availability.

the exchange rate is what breaks the deal for Europe...with such short notice..If I had done some planning then yes..would love to take DD there. I looked into Mexico but it kinda freaks me out...I love the beach and was thinking about it...

Have you looked into other cruise lines? I wanted to do a Disney cruise really bad this year but they are so over-priced in my opinion.

Next year, we are hoping to head to Disneyland and then Denver to visit family.

that stinks. I am sure I will come up with something. I may go on the discount page and see what specials are going on. its also a high travel time so I have to be careful when I plan

I just read that there are several cruises out of NYC that are about $300 for five days on Carnival. That is totally doable! If it didn't conflict with the Hershey meet, I'd consider it. Maybe this fall....

I can't convince BF that we could be cruise people yet. But he's talked me out of Disney this year (so far) so I think he needs to bend to my whim if another cruise deal comes out.

another issue is that he doesn't have a passport, so he'd have to get one if we went.

Honestly, I'm lucky I can find the disboards. I'm occassionally on FB, but I can never find my way around. I keep up with everyone mostly here, although I do have several Tker email addresses. I just can't keep everything straight!

got ya. I don't know if I can post the stuff I found or not because of them doing vacations etc...lololol. I did find a carnival for 189

MK that's a great deal on the cruise. Why doesn't BF want to take a cruise? I think they look like so much fun.

I totally agree! Its kinda like free dining on a boat. He doesn't like to meet people and while I can picture myself reading out on the water, he has no idea what he would do. But that's the fun of it, right?

He just doesn't have an adventurous streak (that's what I'm for) and if he's not familiar with it, he's not into it. It took me forever to convince him to do Disney, and I practically had to make a powerpoint presentation to make my case. I keep threatening to take a cruise without him, and he tells me to have fun without him. Pooper-head.
