I think the original thread about getting more people to view the thread was serious. The one Wall-E1 started was just suppose to be an experiment and it snowballed.

And you thought we burned through threads fast. How long has that one been around? 4 days or so?

Hope you are keeping warm JO. It's not that much better in FL. They are worried about the orange crop. My friend gave us some red oranges...they were good.

I hate this cold. Thankfully, we don't have to go out much in it. Did all our grocery shopping over the weekend and left the kids at home. They've barely been outside to play. Thank goodness for the basement. They ride their scooters down there and just burn off some energy.

I saw that it was cold down in FL too. Don't know if I'd want to be there right now. If I'm going to vacation in the winter, I want to escape the cold.

Glad your house is keeping the kids out of trouble---at least out of your hair for a while. My basement is not heated...I do not like to go there! I won't be able to put it off forever.
I checked the declutter thread...got motivated...need to set a goal for tomorrow! going to work in my closet. I also need to put stuff in the recycling bin---I got another one. I have not been able to put any out for 3 weeks. I haven't been home to get the bin back in!

Our basement isn't heated either but it is much warmer than outside. Plus there is never any wind. The kids will just put on their spring jackets and go run/dance down there so they never really get cold. Me....I hate being down there....it's always too cold for me.

I don't have to declutter anything just work on not letting it get cluttered.

You did a great job of getting rid of stuff when you moved. I've been here for 9 yrs and it's getting bigger! I jsut hate going in the basement...especially at night. I have 2 friends who have volunteered to help me down there in the spring.

That's nice of your friends. It just makes everything so much easier with friends.

We want to eventually finish the basement into an actual room. It's one of the many projects that DH always brings up.

Tulle is having its clearance sale. Its really good prices for adorable clothing. They sell this stuff at Neiman Marcus and Marshall Fields and they go for less than $5 during this sale! Ack!

Congrats to you M&N on trying to declutter. I'm hating my life right now. While enjoying the idea of getting rid of stuff and it finding a better home, its been really tiring both physically and emotionally. I so want to be organized and pretty, but to be honest, I'm just not one of those people. What really scared me last night was watching Hoarders....I didn't think it was THAT bad! Of course, the rotting food and mouse droppings grossed me out, but I totally understand how it can just be easier.

Don't get me wrong, still am going to work on this...but instead of the great bra showdown as anticipated, I took down the holiday decor. Still needed to get done, and I feel good about it, but I do know it was just a diversionary tactic!

I didn't read that thread, I was engrossed on the moral debate of real versus fake purses. While I understand why some people would go either way, don't get in the way of some women and their purses!

Well home sick today. Yucky. DH hadn't been feeling too well for a couple days and now I think I have it. Totally yucky tummy. Sore/raw throat, headahe, general unwell. Hopefully it goes away REAL fast. This is terrible. Not to mention I do not want baby Walter to get it.

Over here, its the wind that just won't quit. How is it possible to be gusty cold for so many days straight? Its incredible and miserable.

Kitty I feel your pain. I really do. I have been going through some stuff to that I am in a "hate the world/hate my life" kind of funk lately as well. I'm trying hard to get past it, especially since I have the most beautiful child ever born to care for, and that is a huge blessing. But sometimes lets face it life is super hard. And things pile up and pile up (both physically aqndd emotionally) and it can really get to you.

I heard a great line one and it was Stop "shoulding" all over yourself.
Think about it is really true. I should do this, I should do that, I should be skinny, I should be nicer, I should be more organized, and on and on. No wonder we feel inadequeate. Stop "shoulding" all over yourself.

LITC...I needed that! I so want to be a better person and I want my living space to reflect that. But then I think, if being this disorganized is really my greatest issue, I am really too blessed!

We have some flurries right now....your snow sounds terrible! All the more reason to pamper yourself and take care of you. I know its going to be difficult staying away from that gorgeous baby of yours, but just kiss his picture and wave to him from afar!

Oh, and this weather is really pushing BF to the edge. He's actively adding "Florida" to everything. Like, "it wouldn't be this cold in Florida", or "you could go to the mall without wearing a jacket in Florida". Thing is, its starting to sound good to me too!

Actually, we'd like to live about an hour away from Orlando. Close enough to get to the airport, but far enough to live a quieter life. When we were there last, we drove down to Tampa a few times, and the towns between both were really cute yet not too far from civilization (and WDW).

My grandparents lived a little over an hour from WDW, not to far from Tampa in a little town called Largo (not Key Largo). I actually almost got to move into the house shortly after my grandma passed away, but one of those miserable situations we were talking about earlier interfered and it never happened. I'm still bothered by the situation to be honest. Oh well, life must go on.

Walter is fussing in his swing, and just succeeded in throwing his toy/rattle thing-y over the side onto the floor. He seems pretty proud of himself.
