I use Retailmenot for promo codes before I order anything online. Between that and Ebates, I save a lot! My ebates check this quarter is nearly $60!

I went to Walgreens.com and saw 50 free prints if you sign up. It was just taking so long to upload my pics. I guess I should do it when I don't need the computer.

Now you know how I feel Pikester...and D&D tries to say I'm shamelessly posting...

Yes it was on this morning.

Magi, Robin Williams is in Hook, this was Peter Pan. I looked it up on IMBd and I don't recognize any of the actors other then Lynn Redgrave who played the Aunt of the children.

Ah, that's right. It was Hook with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman.

Maybe it was a British version? There's an ancient version of Alice in Wonderland that I love that was made for British television (live action). DUdley Moore was the Doormouse.

M&N, when I used dial up and had to upload pics and stuff, I would only do a couple at a time. It seemed to make things move faster for me.

MK, if Pikester is talking about the same movie we watched this morning, it wasn't the one with Robin Williams. The one he was in was called Hook. It also had in Julia Roberts as Tink. Love that movie.

And I can't wait to see Alice In Wonderland. JD dressed as a freak in a Tim Burton movie....

Woohoo! DD13 is getting into the Olympics. I just caught her cheering out loud for the US Womens snowboarders.

The darn DIS had me so mad this afternoon! I was posting 2 installments to my Trip Report but the DIS kept telling me I wasn't signed in when I was trying to post the second one. Then I would lose my post! I happened twice before I walked away. I finally got the second one done this evening with no problems.

Peter Pan--2003 movie---Googled it...

Jason Isaacs ... Mr. Darling / Captain Hook

Jeremy Sumpter ... Peter Pan

Rachel Hurd-Wood ... Wendy Darling

Lynn Redgrave ... Aunt Millicent

I would think kids would enjoy the fast pace of some of the winter sports...more exciting than running around in a circle!

I was fighting with the DIS earlier this week. I could not stay logged in...got new passwords and everything. Look at the tech thread...it explained what to do. Something about cookies??? It worked.

She first noticed because she thinks their outfits are awesome. Teenage girls....what do you expect? :lmao:

Men's freeskating is next...gotta go. I don't have a tv in here.

I'm volunteering with the art teacher tomorrow afternoon. She's stitching and could use an extra set of eyes and hands to keep them on track. Not that I know how to do it! I get to wear jeans and red, white, and blue...but don't know what to wear yet. I'll have to dig out a flag pin or something.

If I don't chat tomorrow...have a great weekend...

M&N, you should have told me sooner. I have a red Kyle Busch shirt we could have brought out for you to borrow for tomorrow. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

JO, my oldest DD was getting into the snowboarding tonight too. We watched some of the olympics earlier today and she was recounting everything to DH this evening. Now she wants to do either archery, skiing, or ice skating. Given that we live in Texas, I think she probably needs to go with archery.

Wendy, how did the kids make out the other day when you had to take your dad to dialysis training? Since you are still posting, I assume the house is still in one piece.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised! The did great, and they got their reward of a trip to WalMart so they could buy their new skateboards.

Everytime I get off this thread, I bookmark the new page. It saves time and the remembering where I was last!

That is pure genius! Especially now that the DIs keeps logging me off every time I leave the page.

I have the national anthem as Mom's ring tone for my house phone. That way I know it's her and I had better stand up and get the phone!

Me too! Then I always know it's her!:lmao:

Guys, please pray for my Dad. His dialysis catheter has floated up out of place again and isn't draining. They will check it again tomorrow, and if there's no change then he only has 2 choices: 1--go down to Univ. of PA and get a second opinion from a surgeon there (maybe they've dealt with this before, the guys here have never seen such a thing), or 2--go on hemodialysis instead. That was NOT an option we wanted to consider, but we may have no choice. He told the doctor he would not make a decision until after *I* talk to the doctor (which I will do tomorrow after work). Anyway, my Dad admitted that he is really upset about this. That in itself tells me how bad he's feeling--he rarely gets upset and NEVER admits to it. We really really really need to find him a kidney. Anyone got an O+ one to spare?

Wendy, sorry to hear about your dad. I'll say a prayer for him and your family.

MK, isn't that little star so wonderful? Glad I could help. :goodvibes

DL55, where we use to live had sidewalks everywhere even in some of the smaller alley ways. So it's a big change not to have them now. Just something else to get use to here.
We don't have sidewalks either. Was so used to them at the old house. Took a while to get used to. Especially when the kids were riding their bikes in the road. I was a bundle of nerves (still am) teaching how to ride safely.

Cute song D&D! Only now its playing over and over in my head. (It replaces the Beach Boys "Wouldn't it be nice" that has been in there for days)
:rolleyes1 At least now you have a Disney earworm. :thumbsup2

The new Tim Burton Alice in WOnderland commercial scares me...
Me too!

And I can't wait to see Alice In Wonderland. JD dressed as a freak in a Tim Burton movie....
Woohoo! DD13 is getting into the Olympics. I just caught her cheering out loud for the US Womens snowboarders.
:lmao:

I was watching a little of snowboarders before the kids went to bed. WOW... they are pretty cool!

Wendy, I'll say an extra prayer for your dad. I've been praying for him since you first told us what is going on. You know if you ever need to talk, you know where to find me. :grouphug:
