It's suppose to come on Monday night. We are on the border of 1-3 and 3-6. It better be 1-3. And bite your tongue about the kids being home even longer. They haven't been in school since last Tuesday.
If they change the snow totals to even more, DH will be making a stop on the way home from work tomorrow.
I had my parents and my brother here for dinner to celebrate DS's birthday. We ordered in from Cheesecake Factory. When we went to put it up, the place was mobbed. They had a 2 1/2 hour wait for a table--AND PEOPLE WERE WAITING!!! I'm sorry, that's just crazy! Even the line to pickup your food was long, we were there over 15 minutes just picking up. Didn't love my salad, but it was ok. DS loved his pork chops, so that was nice. I'd made an apple pie for dessert, and that got rave reviews.
We are supposed to get 1-3 inches. One site says just a little over an inch. I hope that's correct!
So, tomorrow I have to go for dialysis training with my Dad. I totally forgot when I scheduled it that the kids have no school tomorrow. Our regular sitter is sick, so that's out. BFF's kids have school, so that's out. Going to my Mom's is out--she wouldn't do it, and the kids would refuse to go anyway. I don't know what to do. I really don't want to leave them here alone for that long (probably 10:30 til 4 or 4:30) If they were ANY other kids, I wouldn't hesitate. They ARE 13 and 14, after all. I'm just afraid they'll fight and/or get into some sort of trouble. I suppose I really don't have a choice. I'll have to threaten major consequences if they don't behave, and big rewards if they do. Pray for me!
If they have to make up days, it will only be until June 21st. DD8 would be thrilled because it would be the first time that she would be in school for her birthday. Anyways, they haven't said anything about make up days yet. They do have a few off school days that they can use as make up days instead of going longer.
The kids all have one heck of a cold here. Hope DS is getting it either.
Good morning ladies! I hope you all didn't stay up too late watching the Olympics.
Do the people who post even read it before commenting on the OP's post? I was just reading about a woman who was upset because her DH had gotten her a $300 GC to a spa. She HATES spas! She wrote about how they even talked about the fact that she HATES them 3 days before he even bought the GC. A few posts later someone posts "Did he know that you don't like spas?" Ah, since she just posted that I'd have to say YES!
