Mom and I got our taxes done this afternoon and I didn't get home until close to 4...had to shovel a little. My computer was running very slow so I gave up.

I had to watch Cake Boss. They were at Disney for the Food and Wine but showed them around MK more. His daughter likes the princesses so she got to meet them---no lines of course. He then made a cake for daughter's bday. A castle with the princesses. No Cinderella though.

How much snow are you suppose to get?

I heard at least 12 this time...but it could be more or less. I guess it's up to the 2 lows that are to meet? Over the weekend, our one weatherman would not even discuss it when someone would ask him about the forecast! He just shook his head very sadly.
How much did you end up with?

I cannot believe how it blew. Patrick hardly had any on hs roof. It was hanging off his side and made him look like he was crooked from the back. I tried to take pictures but it doesn't show up like it did in person.

This last one only dropped about 6 inches. We were lucky again but I think we're going to pay for it this time.

No way am I ready for more snow...at least Pat will be in his garage.
I'm supposed to sub on Thurs...if there's school. Tomorrow I need to get to the Post Office and get some salad stuff and milk in. I was going out to dinner but probably won't now. Snow is supposed to start around 3.
I'm off to bed...night...

We are going to have to run out tomorrow too. Will need extra snack and stuff since both DH and the kids will be home. They will spend their whole day eating.

I hope you are happy Pikester...you are getting some of this...I'm in the 12 inch band now...hope it goes more east and we'll get less. JO's in the 12-18 inch band...know she's thrilled!

Morning ladies! It certainly is the calm before the storm here. I'm in the 6-12 inch band, which usually ends up being 15 inches...

I feel compelled to head out to the grocers also...but I already have enough milk and eggs. I think its the idea of not being able to go anywhere that is driving everyone nuts!

Good morning. It's so beautiful here that it's hard to believe there is a major storm on the way. We are not even going to head out the grocery store until tonight. I'm hoping that most people will have already been there by that time.

Did anyone else see that they found an earthquake survivor yesterday? Nearly a month after? It really is a miracle...

I ordered my own Valentine's gift. I knew that BF would be too stressed out to really think about it...I'm getting a pocket video recorder from Dell...in pink of course! It was on sale for $35 and it can record 2 hours before I have to download it to the computer. You know, all this tech is ganging up on me...between the Garmin, cell phone and mp3 player, my purse is so heavy!

The recorder is going to be great for Hershey! Its pocket sized. Now I just have to remember to wear shorts with pockets that day....

Is that video recorder the kind that uses the flash memory? I've looked at getting one of those but decided it didn't have enough memory for us. Can you add a memory card to yours for extra storage space?

I don't think you can add memory to it. Its the basic model.

For me, I'm terrible at taking pictures, so I figure I'll start with this one and if I want a better one, I can go and buy one. At this price, I figured it was a good thing to have and something to really test how much use it would get.

You can't add extra memory to that one. I like it though. Looks like it would be good the little things that we do around home. For vacation, I would want something that we could add memory too.

We do have a camcorder but it's the type that takes those mini cassette tapes. DH likes using it but it's a real pain in the butt.

I have that one too, and since when we vacation I try to carry as little as possible, I end up leaving it behind most of the time. I figure I can transfer the video to the netbook or my external HD on vacation, and both will fit in those tiny safes the values have!

And usually, its just BF and I, so with the little camera I can hold it out and capture both of us in the frame. Its harder to do that with the bulky mini-cam. Its on the truck today--super fast delivery for free!

Still sunny here. Last storm only hit the northern sections of the state. Next one is supposed to hit us here in the southern part. The snow pack in the local mountains is at 200%!

NYC has already closed their schools tomorrow!

Seems like they should have had the Olympics here...Vancouver is scared coz its been a warm winter for them.

I was reading some reviews on our hotel...seem to be a highly recommended restaurant next door. Yum!
