Yep, we used to go every year. For quite a few year, it was in King of Prussia (or maybe Valley Forge). Ok, somewhere near Philly. :lmao:

Then it moved to Atlantic City for a few years and now it's back near Philly. It was a great show before it moved but now there aren't near as many NASCAR stars as there use to be. It's a 3 day show and each day/night, they would have a big name star there. This year, they only have Kahne on Friday. Not enough of a draw to make us go.

Here's the link to their line-up this year

I had to delete the nascar in the front but I got it.
Come on...not wanting to see Marcos Ambrose or Jeff Hammond?

Come on, compared to when they had Tony, Rusty, Kenseth, and Herman in one weekend? Yeah, Hammond has been there every year since we've known about it. He's old news. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I clicked on the schedule and Jeff Hammonds and Bobby Allison will be there too. I sent my friend the link. He probably already saw it but his wife was relaying the info he was telling her and he didn't seem to remember anyone except KK. Thanks. I'll have to tell you when the DIS starts their racing teams. Anyone can make picks every week.

Knowing Hammond, either his book or the FOX racing merchandise. What else does he have? :lmao:

More than these big name racing shows, I prefer to go to the lesser known racetracks that the drivers show up to to pass the time. We used to go to some dirt track races to meet the drivers. DH got to meet Schrader and I met Kenseth. Kenny was really nice and talked to DH about our daughter. Kenseth...well, not so sociable. Surprise from Mr. Robot. :lmao:

I think you may be in trouble with that remark...not from me! :lmao:

I think if I lived in NC, I would go to some of the small tracks. My uncle took me to a few and we enjoyed them.

I need to get to bed...It was good having someone to talk racing with. Just don't be a Kyle Busch fan...you didn't say who you root for.

Maybe I'll just keep that quiet. :rotfl2:

Night!

Pikester has become our entertainment committee :happytv:

It was 50 at 7 am and now it has dropped to 45. :sad2:

I think Pikester is just following my new rule suggestion about not just looking to see what's new but posting at least a smilie too. LITC was upset that she killed the thread and someone said they had just looked but did not post. So bump 'er up is my new motto. (Besides, she can use the post counts!)

What has happened to everyone? My spam box was empty...no notifications from here or FB! Sorry everyone is so busy! Of course I should do dishes and get the trash out...

I'm here! I went to Home Depot today to return some unused closet reinforcements (again). I had some store credit leftover, so I bought a wardrobe mirror that I will attempt to mount sometime soon....

yahoo! My netbook came in today....I had been looking and looking and found one within in my budget and with my specs. The only drawback is that its white, which for some reason made it $40 cheapers than black, red, or blue ones. Its so cute! But I really have no idea what I'm doing, and the so-called user guide really has no information. And has such no information in four languages! So silly....

So, how was everyone's day? It was still cold here, but almost sunny and definitely not snowing. So it was pretty good!

Keep me up on these new terms Kitty. A netbook is different from a regular computer---HOW?

I'll tell you what little I know. Namely, the netbook is LITTLE. I got the one that's 10.1 inches, good enough to fit in a purse and that teeny safe at Disney hotels!

It doesn't have a disc drive, its basically a machine that I'll use to surf the internet when I'm travelling. If I want to watch movies or something, I'll have to use a thumb drive and plug it in via the USB port. It does have a built-in webcam and microphone, which I haven't figured out yet.

My main issue with getting one was size--they have 11.2 and 12 inch ones and battery life. Older ones have about 3 hours on a battery, I got an 8 hour one, but it does add a little bulk. Otherwise, the netbook is about the size of a hardcover book, but only about a half inch thick.

I didn't want to get an iPhone coz at the moment there's an exclusivity with AT&T, and I had such a horrible experience with them that they will never get any of my money! My phone does have internet capability, but I just got my eyesight back a few years ago and I'm not going to go blind staring at a tiny screen. So netbook was my best option considering that I do a fair amount of travelling and I wanted something portable.

Did I mention its cute? It will be even cuter when my Hello Kitty skin comes in!

I expect nothing but cuteness from you. :cutie:
So you basically want to use it for the internet? No word processing? Can you use DVD's?

No disc drive, but you can buy an external one if you really want it, they go for about $60...

If you want to load something onto the netbook that requires a disc, you have to put the disc into a regular computer and send it to a thumb drive and install it that way.

In terms of movies, I have netflix and you can stream directly over the internet.

Oh! Do you have netflix? You'll be able to stream movies directly to your tv thru the Wii sometime this spring.

Of course, this is all hearsay from what I've read on message boards. I have been able to get on the internet on it already and that was its main purpose so I'm happy.

I'm sure you will figure it out.
I'm just a blah person---no camera in my phone, I read real books, no Netflix or high speed internet. I do have enough to keep me busy and out of trouble.
