Hi SCHBR'smom.MagiKitty
LITC I was disappointed in missing you, but I think I would have had a hard time giving Walter back. :lovestruc

We had fun on our trip but glad to be home also. Besides the water leak and the lights not working one night, a cabinet loosened from the wall. DH has spent the past couple of days working on the trailer (after his golf game of course).
I can't believe I spent almost 5 hours at the Baseball Hall of Fame. It really was interesting. Do any of you know Abbott and Costello's Who's on First? bit? Well, I just had to get a baseball shirt with "IDONTKNOW" and #3 on the back.
Now we have more destinations for future trips. :) Despite eating out too much I gained only 2 pounds. Should only take a month for me to lose that.

Its always wonderful to come home. And then you start to get that itch to start planning your next getaway!

I don't even understand baseball and I love the Hall of Fame. While I haven't been to the Football one, I've been to a bunch of others and Cooperstown is easily my favorite. The town is so cute! Glad you enjoyed it.

They should have a golf passport so your DH could get stamps from all the courses he played on this trip!

Believe me, if I didn't like LITC so much, I may just have tried to keep Walter!

DL55: My DS12 can do the A&C skit word for word!

LITC: While on our way to Gettysburg I saw one of those smart cars and someone had put a "wind up key" on the back of it that was spinning as it was traveling down the road. Too funny!

DL55: Glad to see you back.

Very HOT out there today! DH took the kids to the lake but I have a headache and just felt like staying home.

Hello to all my other TKer friends!

Hello to all my other TKer friends!

Hey Pike!
That is cute, I remember the first time I saw one of those cars, I obviously wasn't in it, but I felt scared for the person in it! Yikes a good solid trash can seems like it could take one of those things out.

I'm home...tired and hot but I'm here. I even caught up on the thread but too much to comment on but to say---GO Walter! How did you ever decide which picture to use? He's just so darn adorable! I'm in the voting of course!

I know I'm crazy but I'm going to HP tomorrow. At least for maybe 2 hrs. It'll only be around 87-91 then! My aunt is up from NC and I got them tickets to go with their 2 yr old granddaughter. My cousin has season passes too but I knew they would want to see Gracie on some rides. Mom isn't going...too hot. My cousin said she would make a time with us for another, cooler day for mom.

Glad DL55 made it home ok.

Thanks Pepper for holding that traffic away when I drove off the Bridge Tunnel to Suffolk. I don't remember having such little traffic on the way down. It was nice seeing some of my cousins. Why can't it be without a funeral? People are too busy.

How about---

Good morning! Its supposed to be the worst (and the last) of this terrible heat wave.

M&N! So good to see you. I was wondering how you were. You're a champ to venture out to HP in this heat, but yes, it will be wonderful to share that experience with your family. Just stay hydrated and wear a hat!

I see a lot of those smart cars in the city. They are so darn cute and I would guess super easy to parallel park. But outside of the city, let alone upstate NY, it would be useless. Some good wind gusts, or even a big SUV and poof! The little car would be moved over. Also, come winter, we need to buy our supplies in bulk, in prep for the heavy snows. But they are cute.

Let's have a good day everyone!

Good morning Kitty! Good morning the rest of my TKer friends!

It is another HOT one out there today. Went for a 40 minute walk because that was all I could handle. I will be so glad when this heat decides to go away so I can go back to an hour.

I've got an appointment to get my passport done today at 2PM. I heard that the prices are going up as of July 13th so I figured I better get it done. I don't really need it until the cruise in 2012 but since it's good for 10 years I figured why not and since my Mom is paying for it as a birthday gift why not save her so dough.

Follow Kitty's advice and stay hydrated M&N! And keep a close eye on the little one.

Not sure what the next name should be. I like 8 Isn't Enough but need to get TKers in there. Maybe "TKers....8 Isn't Enough!"

Morning! It's hot here of course but it's also very windy. It's very odd.

M&N, welcome home. You better be careful out there today. All you stay hydrated.

MK, if those are the same cars I am thinking about, they don't actually parallel park around here. They back in right along the curb like they are parking in a parking lot. It looks really strange.

Pikester, I don't blame you for getting the passport before the rates go up. Lately it seems like rates for everything are going up and up.

Need to go get my vote in for Walter!

Pike, its smart of you to get a passport now. Both my BF and my sister's BF don't have them and for some reason won't consider it. oh well....looks like they won't be going on a cruise anytime soon! And you're thinking is right--its good for 10 years so its actually a decent investment.

i've never seen smart cars parked like that, but I imagine they could fit that way. I'd be giggling if I had to park my car like that--but no risk of being stuck between two cars.

She actually does not like those itty, bitty bootie shorts. Which makes Curt very, very happy. :lmao: Right now, the big thing with her is the distressed jeans. But being that I've trained her right, she made her own instead of paying $100+ to buy them. Only cost her a trip to the garage to steal some of Curt's sandpaper.
:thumbsup2 Way to go Jackie!! You're raising her right!

Hello everyone, we're back!
We really enjoyed meeting M&N, MagiKitty and Pikester. Too bad it had turned into a comedy of errors. Called D&DDisney to offer sympathy, she seems to take everything in stride.:thumbsup2
We missed some flooding in Oklahoma, unaware of the storm that caused some downed trees near Hershey, missed a tornado by one day in Michigan and our final campground was flooded three days before our arrival. We just toodled down the road without a worry. :confused3 pixiedust:

I have not caught up, so if there was anything really important to know please let me know. ;)
Welcome back DL55! So enjoyed talking to you. Glad you arrived home safely!

Good news, we should be able to find out what the baby is .
:lmao: I know I shouldn't laugh, but when I read this I thought "What the baby IS.." Like maybe you're expecting a puppy or or a chimp or something. :lmao: I know! I know...you're talking about the gender of the baby. But I still had to laugh.

Thank you for the votes! That's great about the van, when I had to have my old car fixed that put me into something barely bigger than a match box...I was like seriously, does this thing wind up or use AAA's?
They were going to give me one of those matchbox size cars, but I told them I have 2 kids and they could NEVER sit that close to each other in the car for longer than 5 min. I was bringing in a van and I thought they should give me a van to use. So they did. :thumbsup2

Bery HOT out there today! DH took the kids to the lake but I have a headache and just felt like staying home.

Hello to all my other TKer friends!
Hey Pike! STay cool.
Funny thing yesterday...my brother gave us some extra tickets to the baseball game last night. The family sitting in front of us looked exactly like your family. The 2 boys even looked similar to your 2 boys and the mother looked very much like you. I must be losing it because I am seeing people around me that look like my TKer friends way too often.

As for a new name I like

TKers ...Eight isn't enough
And

TKers ....Crazy 8s

I think the storm is starting to catch up to the kids now. DH and I have had trouble sleeping but now the kids are having bad dreams and breaking down crying. Last night DS8 was so upset. He came to me and told me he had something to tell me but he wanted to talk to me alone. He broke down crying hysterically saying he had a bad dream about DH and I breaking up and leaving them alone and he was so ashamed of it cuz he thought if he dreams it then it will come true. :guilty: After I calmed him down we talked a long time (He really is remarkably in touch with his feelings for an 8yr old boy - WOW) I explained that this is all part of the tornado and his brain trying to work through these feelings. It is all normal. I got him calmed down enough to go to bed, but I think we've got a very long road ahead of us here.

aw, hugs to you and your family D. And your little guy is so smart to turn to you and share his feelings and fears. Its so difficult to have faced the very real possibility of danger and although you are so grateful for the outcome, its still in the back of your mind just how terrible it could have been. Most important, your family is still intact and you'll get through these tough times together.

Oh D&D---Hugs to your family! I too am so glad he's able to share these things with you. Does the Red Cross or anyone provide counseling? I'm sure he's not the only one having terrible dreams. Don't forget you were going to give us a list of things needed..or did I miss it?

Hot here too. I lasted HP until nearly 1:30. We did not go to the water park area so the lines weren't long. We mostly wanted to let my 2 yr old cousin go on her rides for grandma and grandpa to see. She's a little sweetie most of the time. It was cloudy some so that helped. My uncle and I went on the trailblazer together. He would like to come back when it's cooler and do some of the rides. we did the Kissing Tower and monorail too. Then we ate at Houlihans. They were not stingy with the ice today in the park.

Thanks for adding the TKer in my suggestion...it must be there!

I voted for Walter...going to go to my mom's and register her too! I did ask a few friends to vote too.

D&D, I'm so sorry about your kids. Poor babies, it's hard for adults to deal with, I can't imagine how difficult it is when you're still a child.

And, about what the baby is... :lmao: I usually think it through a little better before I type, apparently not this time.

Welcome back, M&N.

Hi to the rest of the TKers!

We're supposed to get rain today, but its still bright and sunny. :confused3

Hey Kerrie---what kind of baby do we want? ;) Maybe a little girlfriend for Walter? I always said I would want to know whether it's a girl or boy...I don't like 'generic' baby gifts! I am careful not to say what a cute little girl and have it turn out to be a boy! At that age, it's not always easy to tell...

I've already got a girlfriend for him! As long as he likes older women, my little R is 18 months. She's teeny, tiny, loves shoes, and can hold her own with 4 older siblings. :thumbsup2

With 4 girls already, only one boy, another boy would be nice. But, we're certainly used to girls and have PLENTY of clothes, toys, shoes, etc. I guess, we just want a healthy baby. :goodvibes

Hey everybody!! I know I know I pop up at random times but hey I'm like a teenage zit ya never know when im gonna POP UP AND GITCHA!!!!! That's it, I'm the teenage TKER zit.

*ahem* anywho....

So yes, I am making my ADR's!! So far I've made ressies at Chef Mickey, 1900 Park Fare, and 50's Prime Time Cafe!!! Have a lot more to make still!!! Oober excited about this trip though, it's going to be a good/great/fantabulous getaway for Ben and I. I think it's gonna be fantabulous!!!

But on another note, how is everyone?

Lilmiss, you certainly sound excited. Planning can be almost as wonderful as the trip!

Oh goodness you have no idea!!! I can't contain my excitement. I can hardly wait until I get on the plane and leave the frosted doughnut that Michigan will be and touchdown to Palm Trees and Mickey in Orlando!!! I'm getting all teary eyed thinking about it. I'm such a sucker.

M&N...sounds like a wonderful day at the park. And I see you rode my two faves--the Kissing Tower and the monorail!

Kerrie, we're all praying for a lovely healthy baby for you and your family. But I have to admit, I"m kinda rooting for a little boy to add to your mix....

Mere, we love the 50s Prime Time! I haven't eaten at the other two. You'll have to let us know how they went. When we were at 50s, the entire point is to have the waitress "act". Thing is, I totally ruined her schtick. I'm very polite and full of manners! But BF got a "talking to!". But the food was AMAZING. We would definitely eat there again.
