Thanks Marie for the voting (and everyone else also!!). The voting continues until 7/31. So keep voting if you can!
I can't believe he will be 1 so soon either. It truly truly makes me want to cry.
It's a pleasure! Hope we can get in enough votes for him to win!

I hear you LITC! I can't believe my first born is going to be 13 in October! Where did the years go?

Hi Marie! I should be feeling better in a few more days if you get what I'm saying.
It doesn't get any better! Mine is going to be 20 this year! LITC, enjoy Walter little while you can. Sure he will get up taking care of himself but with that comes a whole new set of worries.
Oooooooh. Yep, I get it, Stef. ;) Glad it's just something like that. My DS was being generous and shared his tummy bug with me. :guilty:

Jo, well I am relieved to see that your kids sprouted their little horns and returned to normal later. It is best that other people don't get to see them that way. Just think they save it all for little ol you! I feel for you. What were you thinking???!!!! 2 teenagers in the house at the same time! Give that woman a medal! :lmao:

Lover watermelons and whipped creamed blueberries, huh? That would certainly give a random passer byer on this thread a good reason to scratch their head! :rotfl: Kitty, you are just too precious!

aw...Marie you make me blush! Let's just say I do enjoy La Dolce Vita! But then again, don't you think everyone should?

I was teasing him he doesn't know his own manly brute strength. What's really funny is that he was demonstrating just how strong the stringed arms and legs are for full range of motion. Then SNAP! Her arm came out.

It was really a sign. At the doll sale, if a doll is just in plastic, no box, its super cheap. I had said earlier on line that I just wanted a Miss Piggy for my collection of my childhood nostalgia toys. And then I found her! I think she was my first Diva inspiration--all that fur and sparkle.

Well, I wasn't really sure. :confused3 I had to go look it up! Thank heavens for search engines! OH! And, yes I suppose they should!

Well, I would certainly try to make sure that Quincy resists the urge to perform any more demonstrations on poor Piggie. I hope the hospital can fix her right up. She is quite lovely!

Hello to all my HOT friends out there!
kcg_best-smilies.com_weather103.gif
Hope you are staying cool.

We had a nice 4th weekend. Except for our crazy neighbors shooting fireworks too close to the houses, it was fun.

Today it is back to calling contractors, the insurance company and finally getting our van fixed after the accident I was in before the storm. The rental that they gave me is exactly like our van in the shop, so the kids feel right at home driving around in it. Funny how that worked out.

LITC - I hope Walter is getting a lot of votes. Been trying to get on there as much as I can. Good luck little guy!!!

Kitty - glad you're enjoying Mr Melon. We have one here too but the kids eat it before anyone can grab a piece. At least they're not eating candy!

Afternoon! It is officially 98.1 degrees here right now and only suppose to get hotter. I was looking forward to summer so I could send the kids outside to play but now it's too darn hot.

MK, sorry about your Miss Piggie doll. She sure is adorable. Now the real question is.....do you have a matching outfit for the holidays?

Marie, I've been looking around swagbucks and I might give it a try. Actually, I've been looking for ways to maximize what I earn from mypoints. Since I'm going to be home, I might as well find the best ways to rack up all the points I can.

D&D, sorry your neighbors were being such idiots. And that's funny about the van.

Now THAT'S an idea JO! I would totally wear that outfit. I love furry. And sparkles. And velvet. I am a December baby, after all.

The only way I've been able to really boost my MyPoints is through buzzagent. With every approved report, they give you 50 points. If there's a survey to take, its only three. But it does add up.

OMG D! I forgot about your accident before the tornado. Well, at least your familiar with your rental van.

I voted for Walter today!

I've always just done the click-thru emails with mypoints. I usually forget to go through the sight when I do actually do come online shopping.

Now that I've been looking around a little more, I see there are some stores that you can get points for buying gift cards. Not a lot of stores but a couple that Jackie likes to shop at. Aeropostle is one of them listed. Now if I buy her a gift card for there and get points for it, can she then use the gift card online through mypoints and get more points for the purchase of whatever she buys? Does that make sense? I don't want to do anything that seems to be "scammy".

I actually think that would work. When you click thru, it goes to the website itself, which should treat gift cards as good as cash, so you'd get the points for it.

I always forget to shop thru them too. I actually have a post-it on my desk that says "don't forget ebates! Mypoints! UPromise!"

Also check retailmenot.com for additional promo codes. Like this weekend they had a code for an additional 30% clearance online. Or they usually have printable coupons. The most recent was $10 of 50.

I've bookmarked both those sites you listed to check out.

I figure if Jackie wants to do her own shopping, I might as well get the most bang for my buck.

Teach them early to save! (but don't let her get those booty shorts--we were in aeropostale a few weeks ago and some of those shorts were like undies!) But Jackie is gorgeous--those clothes will look great on her.

She actually does not like those itty, bitty bootie shorts. Which makes Curt very, very happy. :lmao: Right now, the big thing with her is the distressed jeans. But being that I've trained her right, she made her own instead of paying $100+ to buy them. Only cost her a trip to the garage to steal some of Curt's sandpaper.

And thank you.

Hello everyone, we're back!
We really enjoyed meeting M&N, MagiKitty and Pikester. Too bad it had turned into a comedy of errors. Called D&DDisney to offer sympathy, she seems to take everything in stride.:thumbsup2
We missed some flooding in Oklahoma, unaware of the storm that caused some downed trees near Hershey, missed a tornado by one day in Michigan and our final campground was flooded three days before our arrival. We just toodled down the road without a worry. :confused3 pixiedust:

I have not caught up, so if there was anything really important to know please let me know. ;)

Hey DL55 and DH! So glad to hear you made it home ok. Besides all the forces of nature, how was the rest of your trip? You both were really rather lucky that you bypassed some of that weather.

Hmm...I have to think of what's been going on here. Most importantly, we're all doing relatively well considering what life's been throwing at us. Oh, and we're all pulling for Walter to win a beautiful baby contest--because he's going to!

On my end, we're having a heat wave over here and am just trying to deal. Did go and return from meeting most of BF's family and while I think it went rather well, the Momma didn't speak to either one of us. WHich I considered weird, but BF said it was normal. But it was good overall and I"m glad its done!

And I'm completely addicted to watermelon and pretzels--sometimes at the same time. And no, I'm not pregnant...but may be working on that sometime soon. We'll see.

Good afternoon!

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! Ours was pretty hot.

Sorry about your Miss Piggy doll, Kitty.

Welcome back, DL55!

Marie, we have those bugs, too. I'm ready for them to go away.

JO, that's wonderful that you're letting Jackie shop on her own online. I'm not ready for that yet with my oldest. Of course, she's a bit younger so hopefully she won't want to yet.

D&D, that's crazy that your rental is just like your van. How lucky!

Hi, everyone I haven't mentioned.

Good news, we should be able to find out what the baby is on July 15. Fingers crossed that the baby cooperates! We are going to begin painting and switching the rooms we already know we have to switch. After the 15th, I hope we know what direction to go with the baby's room.

LITC....did you have to bring up thinking of new name???? Thinking of a new name is too much thinking for a holiday weekend. :lmao:

And yay, I remember to vote today. I am debating about trying to register with the multitude of other email addresses I have. ;)

Pikester, I can't believe how time flies either. Curtis will be 18 in January (whole different story that you all know) but still makes me old and sad. And Jackie will be 15 in February. She'll be driving before we know it.

Marie, the kids didn't fight because we weren't home. They are angels everywhere else. As soon as we got in the van, they were fighting over who had the most space on the bench seat in the van. I honestly debated about leaving them at Curt's sister's house.

Well at least we have some time. Everytime we hit 200 or so, I kinda start to panic.....

Good morning ladies! Another hot one here. Everyone try to stay cool and hydrated.

So I've been eating blueberries and its not nearly as satisfying as my lover Mr. Watermelon. I haven't done anything with the berries though. I've just been eating them plain. Perhaps some whipped cream will jazz them up.

So BF and I watched the train wreck of an "interview" on the Bachelorette between Vienna and Jake. I never even watch the show, but all the hype had me intrigued. I thought Vienna came off as a crazy-head, but understandably so. She was upset due to the breakup of her highly public relationship. Jake came off as completely callous and heartless. He really didn't care. It was entertaining and just a little bit scary.

I'm trying to convince myself to go out. I have to go to the post office. One of my dolls was maimed by my friend Quincy when he was here and I"m sending her to the doll hospital. Its my precious Miss Piggy doll that I've fallen in love with and was really upset when Quincy ripped her arm off. He's offered to pay for her surgery.

But goodness if it isn't hot as Hades out there.

Hey kitty -- Man I didn't even know that was on, and you know I am addicted to the Bachelor (except this season, I can't stand that Ali girl) Wonder if I can find it online??

Sorry about piggy. I used to have a finger puppet of her as a little one and there are pictures of me using her as a "binkie" of sorts. (I.e. her head was in my mouth!!)

It's a pleasure! Hope we can get in enough votes for him to win!

Thank you all, any votes are surely appreciated! And I am enjoying every second that I can. People are always telling me, you can't stop kissing him...true I can't.

Thank you for the votes! That's great about the van, when I had to have my old car fixed that put me into something barely bigger than a match box...I was like seriously, does this thing wind up or use AAA's?

Kitty -- I say go for it. I teetered tottered as well and I couldn't be happier.
You'll do great.

That's great. Wow, we barely had room for one! Do you build an addition each time?? LOL j/k. Must be so much fun around your house!!

ooh, yeah for babies! How exciting Kerrie! I remember how you love to undertake big projects when you're pregnant--you're moving furniture this time? Are you hoping for a boy?

Hey LITC! Yes, somehow, even with everything going on, we managed to get to page 210. Hmmm....crazy 8s, huh? We'll have to put our thinking caps on!

So I had a plantain disaster. I bought them too green and I can't use them for my usual recipe. So now I'm boiling the cr*p out of them right now in a mushroom stock. They're supposed to come out like mashed potatoes. We'll see...
