My sister just called. She's on her way. I guess I should be planning for an early dinner.

I've been trying to save some money. I called XM radio and they had already renewed my subscription for $31/two months! No way! So I tried to cancel and then they offered $20/5 months....much better. So I got an extra three months and $12 back on my card.

I just saw a renewal for Marie Claire magazine $7/two years, when I had just paid $10/year. So I cancelled one and ordered the other.

But then I hit a snag. Barnes and Noble have a great sale. I just ordered a slew of Marvel graphic novels for $50. Oh well. I tried.

Hershey TKers: We are having a picnic at the hotel. Kitty called them and we can be there. Bring what you volunteered for before and everything else will be figued out by then! Hopefully. I pick up D&D, go to hotel, get Kitty, eat a wonderful lunch, shop for picnic and go back to hotel...ready to meet you newbies to the meet! All figured out! No problems! (Isn't that right Kitty? We'll have D&D to help!)

I love the sound of "Physics in Everyday Life". I got a d in physics back in the day! The only unit I did good in was a non math one!

Hey EV---glad you are back on from your surgery...take it easy.

I saw my little critter run across my porch when I came home. Those little chipmonks are fast!

I had to run Patrick to the shop...he had to have emergency suction cups applied to his side window. It keeps falling down. They cannot do surgery until next Friday (could have been Thurs but that's HP day and he could not miss that!). I guess he'll need a new motor in his door to operate the window...it slides down when I drive. Not good with thunderstorms predicted!

You ever feel like just when things couldn't get any worse, they actually do?

We just got home from the hospital a little while ago. Curt's mom has been admitted. This is the 3rd time in the past week she's been taken to the emergency room. She's never been in good health since I've known her but it's really bad this time. She's down to 70lbs and hasn't been eating or drinking anything. I know she had to go for a CAT scan on her abdomen tonight but we won't know anything until tomorrow. She is on the oncology floor and they are talking pancreatic cancer.

And during all this, her husband is being a self-absorbed ***. He went to work today and then only visited her for a 1/2 hour before he went home. We are all really pissed about that.

So, if you don't mind, could you all say a prayer for her.

Oh JO, so sorry to hear about MIL. Will definitely send lots of prayers for her and your family.
Don't judge DH too hard. Some people deal w/ pain differently than others. Especially when its your own parent. With my Dad I think I was in denial for a long time thinking things we're not as bad as they were. I realize it now but at the time I probably was acting like I didn't care.

JO--its a very difficult situation for your family. Hugs. I agree with D&D...everyone expressed their grief differently. And for a man, they try to be strong for everyone. I hope today goes better.
