Yes, I would like to hug a real buffalo. I know they're stinky, but they're so cool. Big walking carpets, kinda like Chewbacca. They just look like they'd be good friends. There's a buffalo ranch in Kansas that I want to go to. They take you out on the prairie (????) and let you see them roam. I'd like to do my best Kevin Costner and run with them.

You do realize that buffalo are very dangerous and don't particularly like people right??

I've taken to running into the bathroom with my winning tickets and taking a picture of them in the stall and sending it to BF. He wouldn't believe me otherwise. I know he doubted my theory of hugging and talking to the machines, or getting a "feeling" from a machine...but it works for me.

Pepper....you have to LUUUUUVVVVV the machine. Pet it, talk to it, tell it you guys are a couple. Don't just sit down at any machine. Pick one that "calls" to you. Look for one that you have something in common with---I like to sit at the Asian-themed ones, or the ones that have pretty jewels. Hey, and GOOD LUCK BABY!

You should have told me all this BEFORE I went to Vegas...I did play the Miss Kitty slot in your honour though!!


Had my pre-op app't today...ran through the allergies and the don't drink after midnight...took some blood and did an ECG. Then Mom took my sis and I out to lunch so it wasn't too bad of a day.

Evening! Livvie was home sick today. Just a cold, I think. But she is playing and eating so back to school tomorrow.

MK, we have a local animal preserve here that has buffalo. My parents would take me every year to see them. I was always impressed with how large they are.

Ev, good luck with your surgery. I still don't think it took all that long for you to get scheduled.

Kerrie, I had morning sickness with my all my kids. I swear getting up first thing in the morning and vomiting was one of the worse experiences ever. And trust me, the teen years are fun.

evening everyone!!! Soo excited cause Ben is making frozen lasanga for dinner (were going to have Italian Ice but I spent an hour in toys r us so that's probably not gonna happen....)

Anywho, good news, I can FINALLY eat on both sides of my mouth!!! Extremely happy!

M&N, I've heard buffalo burgers are suppose to be really good. Don't think I could ever eat one after hearing MK talk about how much she likes them.

I'm having a harder time just eating meat now that Jackie is vegetarian. Even though she does most of her own cooking, it's still twice as many dishes to wash. We are working on getting Alexis to eat more veggies right now so maybe soon we'll be more of a vegetarian household.

I've had buffalo steaks and roasts...not bad rather have a good filet mignon or better yet lobster or crab legs!

So while we're on the discussion of food any ideas on what to make tomorrow for DH to heat up for dinner. I'm heading out to have dinner with the girls and told him I leave them something for dinner.

The time has sure flown by since I first started talking about it. I couldn't believe it when my DH suggested it. The other day he told me that this was my trip and that he was just driving me there. So all the plans are up to me!

Ev, we are having tacos tomorrow. Curt will probably be home late so I can just reheat the taco meat when he gets home. It's quick and easy for us and everyone can make theirs how they like it. No fighting.

I don't know if I could give a good steak though. But I do like the idea of cutting down on eating meat.

Pikester, all plans are left up to me....until the last minute. That's when Curt has all these great ideas about what to do.

I could try buffalo. I looked up buffalo farms but found more info under bison farms. I didn't see anywhere that you could go and hug one.

Had buffalo steaks on Monday for dinner. I can't remember if I mentioned this before but last Fall my MIL and FIL went to a hunting farm and she bagged a buffalo. She gave me hamburg, steaks and stew meat. It wasn't bad but then again I always put A1 on it so I get that taste.

Although I hate to admit it, I have had a buffalo burger. They're supposed to be more healthy and I did enjoy the taste of it. I will say that I think cows are cute too.

I try to have a few meatless dinners every week. But we also eat a lot of fish and seafood in my house--its the islanders in us, I suppose.

I wish I was one of those people who plan their meals ahead of time, but I"m really bad at that. I just give into what I"m craving that day. My most recent cravings have been baking chicken fingers, cutting them up and putting them on a bed of greens with feta cheese and cranberries. The issue is that I get hungry again not too long afterward.
