Even if it fell on deaf ears, you will definitely not get any sort of resolution if you don't try. Perhaps enough of these incidents with other workers will demonstrate that the present employee model is not working. Eventually it will affect productivity and profit.

Just got off the phone with one of the "Coffee Moms"...she had to put her daughter in the hospital on Tues because she had stopped eating. I guess she gave up junk food for lent and it has got out of hand. The hospital can't feed her anything but ensure and won't let her out of bed because they aren't sure her heart will take it. I guess the rhythm is all out of wack. I can't believe that something could come on so quickly...she is in Grade 9 so only 14, and quite a little thing to begin with. They are sending her off to the Sick Kids hospital in London and then into an eating disorder clinic as soon as she's stable.

blame the media, there are the ones telling girls that they need to have the pin thin perfect figure to be accepted..

OMG Ev, how terrible for the family! Lent is six weeks long, and its been a while since Easter, so its been at least two months of malnutrition and starvation for this poor girl. Arrythmia is one of the most dangerous effects. I do hope she's able to be stabilized and can be treated soon. How sad! Prayers out to them!

It's just so crazy...she is only about 5'3" and quiet petite and skinny to begin with...by no means would she have been considered as someone who needed to lose any weight. At least she will be going straight into a treatment program. The only drawback is that London is 2 hours away which is going to be hard on her family.

Its definitely what complicates it; its a mental and physical issue. The more immediate treatment is to get her body back to where it is stable, but the mental/emotional issues are even harder to deal with. You can tell someone over and over again there's no need to diet, they're beautiful, they're great the way they are and they just can't see or accept it.

thats what people tell me when i say i want to lose weight that i dont have to.. its not that i have to .. its that i want to.. not for anyone else or what they think of me, but for me and how i feel.. i want to lose a bit so i can be comfortable in my body..plus to be healthier is better too

lol i was just telling my little cousin about middle school and high school. Told him how he can take health, e-con, p.e, during the summer to get it out of the way for the school years. he is all like im not gonna waste my summer.. i told him its well worth it.. hehe

Hey all...

Sorry that I've been rather quiet lately. I'm just so very tired. Plus we're preparing for my mom's arrival, which is on Saturday...then it'll be a bit before I'm on here regularly again. She'll be here for two weeks and the baby will be here Tuesday. But I promise to pop in and say hi!

I didn;t get on here alot at the end of my pregnancy last year and I delivered 2 days into my 9th month, so I didn;t have that awful end. Although it was still hard. Good luck to you, and do try at some point to pop in and share the news!

ahh school i remember those days.. hehehe.. im 25.. so it really wasnt that long ago.. but still glad to be out of it!


i have 93 more work days till disney thig year! hehe
