Mere, my sister had braces in her 20s also. She's awfully glad she did it. I also have a gap in my front teeth, but that's all and my dentist didn't really feel it necessary to fix just those. But I wish I had beautiful teeth. It'll be so worth it in the end!

I could not do that. Rice is high in carbs. I have to limit bannas too and applesauce must be sugar free and that's only a half cup for 1 serving. I guess I could get the toast in ok. My carb limit is 45 for breakfast and dinner and 35 for lunch. I'm glad it's working for you. I had braces in my 40's. It's never too late to improve that smile!

No it wasn't a parade but that costume has been in a parade before!!!! I volunteer at an organization called The Parade Company and they put on various parades in the state of Michigan throughout the year and they have one of the nations most famous Thanksgiving parades. That ostritch I'm "wearing" is made entirely of papier mache. There are also costumes that have a "head" that is made of papier mache. Here's one of them:

Must be a Dec 9 thing...I have a gap too but had it bonded away when I was a teenager.


Mere ~ Enjoy that BRAT diet...had to do that with the kids a few times!! Personally I perfer ginger ale and soda crackers.

lilmiss Hope you are feeling better. I had braces in my 20's also. Love the costumes.

I have been busy. Just bought tickets to Hawaii for our anniversary in Nov. For us it was a good deal, just a $1000 for both of us. The round trip tickets between Maui and the Big Island are $450 (ugh, messes up the transportation costs). We still need to rent a car.

We are also planning to visit our moms in Sept. They are both in their 80s now so we may visit more than every other year like we have done in the past.

I'm going to hate seeing our electric bill this month. The AC started up at 5:30 AM! It was 74 at 6 am.

Okay... Because its been so hot and humid today they are now predicting some severe

tonight and their is a tornado watch for our area.
This is going to be another long night. So if I don't check in later tonight, you'll know why.
