That sounds good to me. I know it was about 9 lives because Kitty started it.

I need to get to sleep. I leave tomorrow am for Mom's. I got her 3 Christmas DVD's. She probably will not look at them by herself but she likes 2 of them...I do not remember the 3rd one but it was only $5. She likes Boyfriend For Christmas and Borrowed Hearts. I didn't find the Christmas Wish--her fav.

Good evening ladies! I am so far behind I am not even going to try to catch up with all I have missed. I see a little news when I get one of those sporadic messages sent my way every now and then via e-mail or a update on Facebook but I know I am bound to have missed plenty. Still keep hoping things will slow down a bit around our house so I can come chit chat but it just doesn't seem to cooperate! So how is everyone?

D&D, I'm fine too. Just watched It's a Wonderful Life so how can I not be fine? I think it is my favorite old Christmas movie. I'm getting sappier ever time I see it. I got teary during parts that I know had never affected me before.

Hi Jo! Thank you! I've missed ya'll around here too. I read a little about what's been going on at your house. I hope you get a break from some of the nonsense long enough to enjoy Christmas.

Marie, I'm gonna enjoy Christmas no matter what. Dinner is at my brother's wife's house so very little cooking and no cleaning or clean up. I think I like this idea.

Sounds like a good plan Jo!
We're going to have a quiet Christmas around here, just the four of us. John does most of the cooking so that's nice but then I get clean up duty which is almost worst than cooking after he has been in the kitchen! Sometime later in the afternoon John's oldest DD, the son-in-law and GS will get around to showing up. And then Sunday we go over to John's sister's house for snacks.

I think clean up duty is the worst. I love to cook and all the prep that goes into a holiday meal. But once that part is done, I just want to sit and enjoy my evening. Most holidays are done here since we have the biggest house (and it's neutral ground for most of my family). But the aftermath just kills me. Really looking forward to not dealing with that this year.

A quiet Christmas sounds wonderful. Enjoy your day with your family. And remind John to clean as he cooks. It's way much easier that way. LOL

I don't think clean up would be so bad if it wasn't my DH cooking! He can use more pots and pans and make a bigger mess than anyone I have ever seen! I don't think he could understand the clean as you go theory. Thankfully he cooks good or it wouldn't be worth it.
I always wished I loved to cook but ALAS I was born without that desire. My sister has had several restaurants and loves to bake. Guess that's where my cooking gene went! I am trying to work up some enthusiasm for making cookies with DD. I'll let you know how that goes.

I am glad you will be getting to take a break and relax. Let someone else take care of you for a change!
