JOCAmom Sorry about the demotion but sometimes it's better to let someone else handle all the c**p.We are losing $70/ mo (going towards medical benefits) and (assuming) no COL for the next 2 years. I'm glad we are doing our trips now..might not be able to do as many in a few years.
Now for some Disney questions..after all this is a Disney forum.
Re dining
HDDR- we plan to go to the 7? one as we are not sure when we arrive and have to get our tickets at SOG.
Teppan Edo - because I know DH will eat here (not sure if he will eat at the other one).
Which Italian place - Via Napoli or Tuttio Italia?
DH wants dinner around 6 if possible but I'm thinking if we go earlier we can ride while everyone else is trying to eat dinner. What do you think?
I happened to hear Focus On the Family on the radio today. I heard them talking about---Have a New Kid By Friday ---by Dr Kevin Leman. He was talking about positive discipline. You do not give a lecture ahead of time about behaving in the grocery store and give negetaive warnings. If they misbehave, when they get home and expect a snack, say no because their behavior does not deserve a snack and walk away. I cannot remember all he said but he was good. Do not argue about getting up for school...when they get ready take them but with a note that says they were late because they were not up in time for the bus. You know this is an illegal absense and treat the student with all the consequences this deserves. The ball is in the kid's court for his actions. He was very entertaining.
Well, got some kinda bad news this morning. I guess it depends on how you look at it. Curt is getting demoted at work. He will have to take a small pay cut, going back to what he was making before his last raise. But he still gets to keep a company truck. But he won't have to do any paperwork, go out on rain days to check on the job, not have to listen to the boss ***** if something isn't perfect.
I'm thinking of it as a blessing in disguise. He'll still have to go out of town if the job calls for it but once he's there, he can just do the work and not worry about anything. Plus, when he is working local, he can just come home and spend time with the kids. He hardly ever gets to do that because there always something for work that has to be done at night.
You are asking Disney questions?
At least you know you will get honest answers here! Unfortunately. not from me! I have not eaten at many places there. I have gone to HDDR but we had cm tickets and that's different.Never too early for a ticker!Vacation is a year away....is it too early to add a ticker?
Hey....you just got back!!!!I wish I had dates to go....

Anyway.
Did it work?![]()
I think so. No kids ran away screaming from me today.
Hello everyone!
Loved Walter's pictures.
Started making reservations for our trip.
Tentative dates are April 22 to May 18th. Should I do the Disney countdown from the start or just when we get to Disney (May 2) ? I still haven't made ADRs.Plan to call tomorrow if we agree on which day for our third ADR. Only doing 3 - HDDR, Italy, and Japan (sorry too lazy to look up names right now).
I think we are getting new computers next year. I don't like sharing with DH![]()

Morning! Cold here too. And it's just reinforcing my decision to hit Fl at this time next year.
M&N, were you reading my post on FB about Jackie and that's why you posted about the discipline stuff? She needs a big wake up call.

Morning all:
Finally caught up...been AWOL for a few days.
Love the pics of Walter...too cute!!
OK I had 4 babies due the start of Dec...one came early, two boys born yesterday so only Kerrie could hit my and MK's birthday so she can't possibly wait until the 17th!!
Good morning ladies! Another cold one out there, but the sun is doing its best to not make it seem so miserable.
Kerrie...thanks so much for the headsup! Im not sure what I'm going to buy yet. But that clock is so cute! And I think the humidifier will definitely help with my sinuses.
The banner on my page here says "Tis the Season to Awaken with Bacon". Did you arrange that?
JO--I kind think that Curt's job change will be a blessing also. Yes, the paycut will be a hassle, but the quality of life will be so much better. More time for you and the family, less hassle with the boss. I think its a win-win.
M...I totally agree with that theory of parenting! (but this comes from the one with cats). My SIL is one of those over-parenters....she just takes care of everything for everyone. I suppose it makes her feel better, but it makes the kids lazy and unappreciative. And unprepared for some situations where they have to make decisions on their own and face the consequences. I'm not saying that my kids are terrible, just that they're horribly pampered and I don't know how practical that is for real life.
I wish I had dates to go to Orlando too....but if my mystery shopping keeps up, my vacation fund will be ready when I do have the opportunity!

Pepper...I've been doing the mystery shopping for a few weeks now. I enjoy it a little bit too much, I think. I enjoy the power! But I only have gone places I'd be going to ordinarily. I mostly do a weekly grocery check. I did do an audit where I had to introduce myself to the manager, and that was kinda scary.
I'm honest, though, and if the service is good/bad, I tell them. Its been pretty sweet padding my vacation fund. Just this week I made $60 plus some free groceries. So I can't complain.
Woohoo! Just got done doing a little Christmas shopping and I was able to get Jackie one of those wool peacoats from Aerospostle at 66% off. And free shipping. Ok, the free shipping was because I bought the little girls some clothes from their children's line. But I ended up with the coat, 2 pairs of skinny jeans and 4 tops. Considering the coat was originally 99 itself, I don't think I did too bad.
Hey pepper! Are you all ready for the holidays?
Ha ha. For some reason this reminded me of one of those old Hee Haw jokes. Remember that where they used to jump up out of the hay?
Oh how I wish I was going! too.
We went to HDDR and had a blast! It is funny in a Hee Haw kind of way. Wow, two Hee Haw references in one post!![]()

No baby, yet. Sorry, D&D, I can't make it the 17th. If I could force her out now, I would! I guess she's nice and comfy and the longer she's in, the healthier she should be. I'm trying to stay positive.
