I was listening to my local radio station and in honor of Halloween they were talking about the "things" you have learned from watching horror movies. So my question to you is

What have you learned from watching horror movies?

and

What bugs you about the characters in horror movies that makes you want to smack them?

Here's mine regarding the 2nd question:

Whether it's a horror movie or even a TV show I'd like to know why whenever someone hears a noise they call out "Hello, who's there?". Then, they keep saying it over and over again as they walk toward where they think the noise came from. Way to let the killer know where you are you idiot!

question #1, apparently all girls refuse to cover their perky "girls" especially in a dimly lit house in the woods. :sad2:

question #2 see question #1 answer :rotfl:

NO WAY pike, you knows we won't let you kill it.

Hi Sukie!

I am pretty PO'd right now. They have these codes on Huggies products and you can enter them to get points to save up to win prizes, the last 9 or so that I have tried enterting they claim I already recceived the points for those codes. Really? Because the very last one is a still unused just out of the box pack of wipes. GRRRRR. So not fair. I sent an email to them, but am not expecting much of a response. Especially since tomorrow is the end day of the "bonus points" code I received in the mail stating that any code I do enter (until tomorrow) received double points. What a waste of money.

Where the heck is everyone?

Had a big scare last night at Walmart, my husband was helping me load groceries into the car and this lady started backing up and almost hit him. I turned around to get stuff out of the cart and saw her and pulled him over at pretty much the last second. I was SOOOOOO mad. She didn't even have the nerve to make sure he was ok.

Oh LITC...damn those Walmart shoppers!!! Good thing you were paying attention.

Hope everyone has a great Halloween...I'll be out ToTing with DD.

Ev: The night before Halloween is often called Cabbage Night and people will go out and make mischief.

DL...I'm a peeker too!

ah, good to know. Kinda like parking your car and forgetting where you left it. Which do you think is better? large or small boat? warm or cold? for me, East coast is definitely more convenient....

I would think a large boat would be better just so you could people watch. And avoid any annoying people. But then again, with a larger boat, there would be a larger percentage of annoying people!

I think warm weather cruise is best for the first cruise (unless you really hate beaches) Large vs small depends if you want more amenities. I think it's personal preference. I'll go on any of them. ;)

oh, I'm planted. I just don't know where to start! Bf isn't sure he's a "cruise person" so we'd have to take a short 3/4 day one first. With that thinking, I'd much rather go out of Port Canaveral and couple it with a US trip. At least I know the Orlando airport and we've driven out there before, so that would be familiar. Everything else? I don't know.
Sounds good. I would go on a 4 day cruise, lesser party atmosphere.

All those categories confuse me. I mean, on vacations, we really don't spend that much time in the room. But I would think on a ship, the cheaper rooms will really make a difference? I'm not all about having a balcony or a suite, just something that I can put up with. I plan to be running around the ship all the time.

I'd like to avoid hurricane season as much as possible, so that probably leans towards a spring cruise. Winter is too unpredictable for me to get to the airport and back.

Too many choices! Its making me dizzy!
Then an inside would be just fine. We usually do inside also.

Hi to everyone.

I see that the topic of the evening is "CRUSING".

DH and I went on the Royal Caribbean line. We chose the "Freedom Of the Seas". Our room was on deck 2, midship. We had plenty of room.

We are planning to go again on her next year. Aug 28th-Sept4th~deck 8 forward.

DH wanted to try a new ship. I got info on Carnival and NCL. I received all the brochures and DVD's. When I got to looking on line, I found out both cruise lines allow smoking in the rooms. :scared1:

We will stay with Royal Caribbean. I hope to get DH on a Disney Cruise sometime.

We loved Turks and Caicos. We stayed at "BEACHES". I would love to go back there too.

Chat again.
We have been on Carnival and have never noticed cigarette smell in our room. I do know that if your room does have an odor they will give it an extra cleaning for you. :)

Gee all this cruise talk and I missed it. :guilty: Friday was my DD's Bday so we took her out to dinner. Saturday I took her shopping..new jeans and new shoes.
Our football team actually won the game. :faint: We had left with just a minute left in the game thinking this team won't be able to get the the ball back and back down the field. Well we were wrong. :cool1: On the way to our car we heard two loud roars from the crowd (didn't know we were so loud). We turned on the radio just in time to hear they were on the 9 yard line, goal to go with only seconds left in the game! After 3 failed attempts to score, on the 4th down the pass was caught with no time left in the game! It was quite exciting. :cheer2:

OK I am trying this a second time as my first post went poof.

Thanks for saving the thread, I was getting worried there ladies!

Dl - congrats on the win, those are the nail bitters!

Took Walter TOT today (twice, once at daddys work and door to door) he lasted about an hour since it was less than 40 degrees out. He looked confused the enitre time!! LOL

Well gotta run, hope everyone had a great halloween.
I have a 50/50 chance of going to see Carrie Underwood tomorrow night FOR FREE!!!!
Take care everyone.

afternoon ladies....sorry I've been MIA. Saturday was spent packing, yelling, organizing my mother and her luggage. Yesterday was spent driving down to JFK, meeting up with my sister and her BF, and getting rid of my mother. Then my friends who were coming back from Burlington Vermont stopped by and spent the night. They left after breakfast this morning. I crawled back into bed and nursed my migraine which has finally started to subside.

Spoke to Mom already though. She's made it safely to the Phils and was giggling with my SIL when I called.

LITC....thank goodness DH was safe! And little Walter T-o-T'ing is adorable. Did you get to see Carrie?

Woo-hoo! getting ready to go on vacation DL55 and M&N!

Ev...I found those sayings so funny! Where do you get them? Forwarded emails?

I have never been so excited of Election day. Just so the damn people stop calling my house! Enough already!

Ohhh...good freebie today. Buttery brown leather cowboy boots. I've never owned a pair before. I'm trying to design an outfit around it. I don't like jeans (or any pants of that sort), so maybe leggings? Or a cute skirt?

Well, another Halloween has come and gone and I'm left here with these tempting bowls of Dots, Hersheys, Snickers, M&Ms, Sour Patch Kids, Bottle Caps, and Skittles. Think the kids will know if I steal some?:rolleyes1

DL55 & M&N - Have a wonderful vacation. :woohoo:

Kitty - I know what you mean about those candidates calling the house ALL THE TIME!!! Ugh!! Will be so glad when today is done because I don't think they can call you on election day.

Ev - Love those puns! :thumbsup2 Might have to borrow some.

Hi Sukie!
