TKers...8 is NOT enough!

It just stinks D&D---It's not like you are getting the stuff because you wanted new...It had to be done because of a terrible experience and now it's being made even worse! Somehow you are going to be a big help to others through this.

I know what you mean DL55---you think you check and get a good company and look what happens. I need something done in my basement and am afraid to call anyone for fear of getting ripped off. I really do not know what it needs to get the water to stop coming in...who do I trust?

The sun sure was pretty today but it's still windy.

Evening ladies! It FINALLY stopped raining and I even caught a glimpse of the sun late this afternoon. Any more rain and I was going to have to start building the ark....some of the side roads around here were closed also due to flooding.

DL55! You're home! We missed you so much! Glad to hear you had a good time on vacation.

D...that freakin bites! I'm so sorry that you're going through this. You gotta fight, girl! Take pictures/video and document what a crappy job they did...how are the boys dealing with the missing stuff? Have another thorough look-through then ask the visitors if perhaps they had seen it when they were there....and congrats on the new flooring!

I rented the movie Babies this weekend. I'm kinda excited to watch it, but afraid that my ovaries may get some ideas....

Evening ladies! Been a totally hectic few days here. One of the kitties is sick. He's actually severely constipated (I know, TMI). He's got quite a few meds to take now and we've switched his food. They also suspect there is something wrong with his spine. The vet wants to clear up the constipation before we tackle what may be wrong with his spine.

And my brother decided to tell his wife that he wants a divorce. I had known for a while neither one of them was happy in their marriage. Usually, my SIL tells me everything but my brother doesn't talk to anyone. Last month or so, he's been emailing me and letting me know what's on his mind. I kept my mouth shut for both of them. What they told me was between me and him/her. SIL found out that my brother had been talking to me and now she's mad at me. I told her that what she told me was between me and her just like what he told me was between me and him. I hope she understands in time.

D&D.....forget the contractors. I'll have Curt pack the tool belt and we'll come out in the work truck. We'll take care of it, sista. In the mean time, tell those contractors to kiss your *** and fix whatever they screwed up.

Welcome back DL55. I think I would have totally freaked out being in a campground with no one else around.

Hey LITC! How are you doing tonight? How's Walter?

I'm ok with what is going on right now. I'm worried about the kitty but he seems to be improving with each day. Curt's sister has been wonderful with all this. She really should have been a vet.

I emailed my brother and let him know where I stand with the whole situation. I really love my SIL but in my heart, that's my little bro. We've been through a lot of heck together and honestly, I've always got his back. It's just hard trying to walk that line right now.

Well I am glad to hear you are doing good JO! It's very hard to be involved in any way when "family"splits up like that. When DH's sister got a divorce, I really had no personal issues with her ex, so if I see him at something for their kid, I talk to him but I feel like I am being disloyal or something. Ugh!

Walter is doing pretty good thanks! Getting quite talkative.

I really just want to get the point across to both of them that I have no bad feelings toward either of them. Neither one has done anything to me. Their marriage is their marriage. My SIL has been a wonderful friend to me and if given a choice, I won't stop talking to her because she's not with my brother anymore.

It's just all so confusing right now.

Talkative, huh? That's a great time. I always loved this time. What new word will he/she say today? Of course, every month brings something new. Even with Livvie being 7, I see every new thing she learns. It really amazes me.

Yea, that would be nice if you could stay friends, only time will tell. Hopefully they can just be adults about it.

Yup he's babbling lots. Not really any exact words yet, he says dada, and sometimes baba, but i'm not sure that he knows what the baba is. I'm really trying for mama!

Good morning...off to the apple festival...it's near Gettysburg.

Only 50 now! JO needs he sweats today I'm sure...hope she's not out much today!

Sorry, I gave up on everyone last night...didn't stick around long enough. I could not post on fb and no one was here. I did read the new rules thread. Some people just cannot joke about anything.

Morning ladies:

LITC ~ Congrats on being MAMA!! One day you'll be sorry he ever learned to talk but in the meantime enjoy it.

DL ~ Welcome back...looking forward to hearing about your trip.

Hey Ev, just wanted to pop over and check on you. Hope you are doing ok today.

Had a crazy hectic day on Thursday which was great. After 5 years it is definitely easier...more remembering with a smile than tears.

Okay, I'm just going to open the flood gates and be a real "Debbie Downer" here, but I have to get this out or I'm going to go crazy.

Yesterday I posted about the windows coming in but being the wrong color (after only 10 weeks and no one checking the order) which was bad enough. After they left I had to go pick up the kids from school and 2 other boys cuz I was watching them for the afternoon. With 4 boys running around the house I didn't have time to go check on the window job. DH gets home and looks at the windows and finds that the installers just did a total hack job. One window is broken (crack in it) the other has dents and scratches - BIG ones. The broke or hacked up all our cedar trim on the outside which wasn't scheduled to be replaced cuz it survived the tornado, but not the install. :sad2: The cut away some of the drywall and window sil on the inside and left dust and crap all over and did a total hack job of that too. It looks just awful!!! I had to just cry because I didn't know what else to do any more. Been trying to get hold of the owner of this company all morning to complain but he's "not in yet" is the answer I get when I call every hr on the hour. I am so  right now.

Then last night the boys discover they are missing one DS unit and a DS game from their rooms and we're not sure if the friends we had over took them or what. We've looked everywhere and are quite sure they were in their rooms as of that morning. :sad2: Don't know if I should call the other mothers to see if maybe something walked away by mistake or what. Dont' want to be accusing cuz we can't be 100% sure.

Lastly a friend of mine who has been trying to have a baby for quite some time found out that the IVF proceedure they took out a loan for didn't work and she's not pregnant - again. So not only are they without a baby but now in the hole for $$$ for all the medical stuff.

Just so unfair I tell you - so unfair!!!!

Oh Deb...nothing I can say to make it better...sending a big

I didn't know they played Mike Holmes down your way...he's big here does lots of charity stuff. Last year when we were on the ferry ride to the cottage the kids recognized a guy who didn't look familiar to me at all...it was Mike's right hand guy...that's when I realized my kids watch too much TV with their Dad.;)

Afternoon ladies! Its really nice out there right now. Definitely fall weather, but that's still wonderful.

So I watched Babies (the movie). Its adorable. Its rated PG due to some breasts/feeding scenes. But overall, its such a feel good movie. No matter in what cirumstances or situations you raise a baby, the most important thing is love. It was really reassuring to see the babies for Namibia and Mongolia, who really have none of the modern trappings that babies here do. Of course, I do want to give my babies everything possible, but as long as they're surrounded by love and I try my best, I think we can do it. I have to stop worrying about how to pay for college and just try to prepare for being a Mom. Although I will keep putting money away for college!

OMG! Congrats on Walter's first "MAMA". How fantastic! It just warms my heart...he's growing so fast, but its going to be an amazing ride watching him become the little man he's going to be.

JO...sorry to hear about the baby kitty issues. But you'll be amazed how resilient they are. And with love, there's nothing he can't do. I'm sorry to hear about your brother/SIL issues. It will affect your family, but you have a relationship separate with your SIL also. I do hope that everyone understands and can make the best of the situation.

D...hope you're having a better weekend!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Howdy ladies! I am so far behind I don't know if there is any way to ever catch up with all that's been going on around here! Had a brief few moments and just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone. From a quick read of some pages and e-mail updates....

YAY! WALTER! How cool is it that you get to be the first name he says LITC? :thumbsup2 I think mom's should always get that honor!
Congrats Kitty! Hope satisfying your ovaries gets to be the next step!
D&D, I think it is about time for things to start straightening out for you. Those contractors need to be run out of town!
Jo, it's a tough job getting caught in the middle. Hope your bro and SIL don't give you too much grief! Hope your little kitty gets well soon!
Welcome home DL55!
M&N congrats on the weight loss!
For those of you who have been having so much rain I hope it's drying out some. You could send some our way!
Hi to everyone I failed to mention! And everyone take care!

My 21st anniversary was yesterday as most of you on FB already know. Man how time flies! Of course, there are those occasional days when it feels like it has been FORVEVER!
Our Disneyland trip is only 38 days away! The whole family seems to be really excited this year. I am excited because it will just be the four of us this year and no extra additions for a change. So looking forward to Thanksgiving Day in the park!

Hi Marie! Nice to see you around. congrats on the many happy years with the hubby and wishing you many, many more!

Goodness, your DL trip is coming soon. How exciting! It will be nice having a family trip. Enjoy those precious moments.

PS--the ovaries are doing ok!

Evening!

GO WALTER!!!!:banana: I knew it was just a matter of time before he said it, LITC. I'm at the point I wish my kids would forget how to say "Mom" :lmao:

Hey Marie! Nice to see you around here. You must be so excited for your trip. You sure I can't hide out in a suitcase and tag along?

Ev, we always watch Mike Holmes here. I think that is Curt's favorite home improvement show.

MK, I'm sure the kitty will be fine. It just breaks my heart to see him like this. I'm suppose to call my brother later and see what's what. I'd like to stay friends with SIL but that will be up to her too. I'll just play it by ear for now.

Hey JO--good luck talking with brother. He must be going through so much right now. I guess everyone is going through a lot now. Its a tough situation. You're so right. You can only do so much. It will largely be up to them to dictate the situation. I just hope it works out the best way possible, if there is such a thing.

The only thing I'm hoping with my brother and SIL is they act like grown-ups through this whole thing. They do have an 8 year old child and they need to keep him in the front of their mind and not make it any more difficult for him than it will be.

I've been trying to figure out our dining plans for next year's trip already. It should be easier since next year Alexis will be considered an adult by Disney standards and that will open up a bunch of new choices for her.

I hope they do too. And I hope they do put the needs of their child first. Especially with the holidays approaching, its going to be a confusing time for everyone.

How exciting to make dining plans! BF actually brought up visiting Florida next year. I'm still pushing for a trip to see HP at Universal, so we'll have to see what we can do. We didn't use the time share this year, so I have two weeks to use elsewhere, so that may be the option for us. But I will miss free dining....
