That might have been a fun way to work out some agression!!!

Well I am going to run for tonight. We just had a power out here and now the connection is not very good. To tired to fight with the computer tonight!

Good night all, take care!

Hi Light, good to see you around these parts.
So sick, think it is just a cold, but feel run over by a truck. Daddy took Walter to walmart this morning so I could get a little extra sleep. Thank you for doing that, or I may be completely dead!
Hope you feel better soon LITC!
Happy Birthday to you!!!!

Well I'm leaving tomorrow to visit family and just discovered my mom is moving next week! :scared1: :faint: I'm supposed to call her when we get to Sparks for directions. Sometimes I think she's trying to tell me something.
Oh DL55 you have my sympathy. :sad2: That's horrible that you mom didn't even tell you she was moving. Have a safe trip and drink heavily!

ok, all caught up!
Glad to see M got back from her vacay and had a great time!
How's the painting going D? Did you ever see the Real World DC? They had an Oval office room, looked just like it. Is there time to do one like that for the Prez?

Let me just tease you with a little recap: alcohol, delayed planes, Niagara Falls, alcohol, drag show, wine tastings, Sesame Street, alcohol...hmm, wonder why I"m so tired?
Yay!!!! Kitty is back!!!
Painting went well. That Oval Office room sounds really neat. But thankfully I got the Prez to settle on a sports room. We just finished putting up the boarder tonight. Looks nice. I'll post pics when it is all done.

I am very intrigued about the alcohol, drag show and Sesame Street.

We adopted a cat....or she adopted us. She's been roaming around the neighborhood for a while and we started to leave food out for her. Today, Curt opened the back door to go get her something to eat and she ran in. She ate lunch and then plopped herself down on the couch.
Aww...congratulations! How does the dog feel about this?

Survived the 2 family birthday parties this weekend. Thank God it is over. They weren't as bad as I had thought. I just went with the attitude that this is for the kids and I tried very hard to ignore my sister's half butt comments. You'd have been proud of me. Many times I could've started something but instead I just let it roll. (My tongue really hurts today)
The only time it was really tough was when I had to hold the new baby. Got a little choked up. It was kinda like those Seinfeld episodes - "You gotta see the B AAAAABY!!!!!! So I did - ugh! Of course she's adorable but don't you people understand how hard it is for DH and myself to be around babies????

Good morning ladies! Thought I'd post a few pics between loads of laundry....

So everyone arrived in Rochester at different times, but by 10pm, we were all at my sister's place, making food and drinks. We had stopped by the gigantic liquor store earlier, so we had lots of drinks flowing! We didn't sleep until after three. So getting up in the morning for Niagara was tough!

It wasn't the best of weather, completely overcast, but Thurs was the best day to go and avoid the tourists....it was an hour drive, which was rough for the boys, nursing hangovers. We went straight to the casino buffet, coz we were ravenous! It was a really good lunch, and when we signed up for the players card (to get $2 off lunch) they gave us $10 in free play. I didn't win, but Edward won $150 right off the bat!

We were bad and left the car at the casino and walked down to the falls...Edward used his winnings to buy our tickets to ride the Maid of the Mist.

Friday am Edward had to fly back to Baltimore for work, but he came back that night. On our own, Quincy and I went to the Strong Museum of Play which was so much fun! They have great exhibits on superheroes, the Berenstein bears, Sesame Street, a butterfly garden and the Toy Hall of Fame. We were the only ones there without kids, but that didn't stop us from being silly.

After Edward arrived back in Rochester later that night, we decided to go out to the club. We started giggling at the door coz the entrance fee was $4! And the drinks were cheap too....there was a drag show which was so much fun. My favorite performer was named Amborsia Salad--she was nearly 7 feet tall! And she performed to katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" which turned into the theme song of the vacation. It was the cleanest club I have ever been too---wasn't scared to sit anywhere. It was a really fun night, and we were there until the light came on. We came back and had sangria and cooked eggs.

Later that morning, when everyone was moving--we spent a lot of time lying on the living room floor that morning, we all piled in the car and drove to the New York Culinary and Wine Institute. We had a wonderful lunch, sitting outside on the patio, facing the Finger Lakes. All the food and wines were from New York. Again, the drinks were so cheap! Half glasses of wine--$3! Entire bottles of local ale--$6! I was the designated driver, but I enjoyed the food and the company. Afterward, they went down to the tasting room. Flights of four glasses of local wines $5! We were there wayyyyy too long, but it was wonderful.

Heading back to Rochester, we decided to go to Anchor bar...its where buffalo wings were supposedly created. We got a bucket of 50 wings, a mountain of nachos, pizza and way too many drinks. I'm surprised my ulcer didn't act up!

So that was our trip--basically enjoying hanging out with each other and being silly. good times!

D...congrats on getting so much painting done. And for surviving the family get togethers! Sorry to hear about the baby pangs--I totally understand what you're saying. But you have two wonderful charming boys that we all totally love. Maybe it was God's plan for you.

I just got my notice for jury duty. Luckily, its for the week after I get back from Kansas...

Hey all!
Potentially planning a trip for Feb. or March, so I might be bopping by now and then!
Couldn't come onto the DIS w/o stopping in here to say hi to all my crazy disney buddies. :lovestruc

You had better say HI to your wonderful, charming, fantastic, and best of all caring dis buddies! ;)

Well I'm leaving tomorrow to visit family and just discovered my mom is moving next week! :scared1: :faint: I'm supposed to call her when we get to Sparks for directions. Sometimes I think she's trying to tell me something.

Look at it this way---you won't have to help her move! Have a safe trip.

HAHA, well I guess I sorta did. My MIL made me a cake, which was a surprise and when my mom was holding Walter, he kinda "smashed" it just a little. But he got upset again that his hands were dirty.

I hate his breathing issues also. It really scares me, I know how bad asthma can get and I know I am going to worry about him even more now.

A Belated Happy Birthday! I'm sure you would not have minded if he had smashed the cake! One day whyen he's eating mud, you'll look back on the time he didn't like dirty hands and laugh! Don't forget you have all of us to worry about Walter too so you don't have to worry all the time.

Great pics Kitty. Glad you had lots of giggles...that's good for you. It sure looks like a wet time at the falls. When I went, it was not that wet.

Did you name the kitty yet JO? Do the kids like it? Is it sociable?

I guess fall has arrived...we did not get much rain though. Mom's grass is dead. I'm not buying mums yet. But I love to decorate for fall outside...just love the fall colors.

Kitty - I love the pics. You always look so good in your photos. So happy! Museum of Play sounds like my kind of place. :thumbsup2 Enjoyed your captions too. Good to see Edward again.

M&N - Fall like weather here too. I bought a bunch of mums this year as they were only $1.50/each. They are small but the ones I planted from last year came back beautifully and are very full. I am trying to hold off on the fall decorating for a week or 2 but it is really hard for me. Love this time of year.

I posted some pics of the room on FB. Just easier than putting them into Photobucket and they loading them here. The room is partially done as we haven't put everything back on the walls yet. DS just loves it. Feels so much more cozy. He was reading a book in there after school for 1.5 hrs. (Diary of a Whimpy Kid)

okay, so I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but I was just reading a magazine and I just saw the most perfect Halloween decoration for me! It was a set of pumpkins studded with little mirrors and glitter! So cute, so girly. I have to do it.

I'll have to check those pics of FB, D. And congrats on having a little reader on your hands--I love it!

My nephew has been texting me since I left. I"m trying to be nice but I"m still upset with him. I guess he could tell. Regardless, having a hard heart is just making my life more difficult. I need to sit him down and have a real talk about it. It'll be good for both of us.

I just checked my Snapfish account and I have a free flipbook. So I"m going to corral all the pics from this week and make a souvenir book. Fun!

My laundry went up on the lin outside and promptly was rained on. They'll suffer out there overnight and I"ll just rewash and dry them tomorrow. I have to vote tomorrow too!

Loved the pics Magi! I would have loved to have seen the Drags. I want to go to a show someday.

We need a pic of your "new" kitty JO.

Saw the pics of your son's room D&D. Looks great!

Since I'm on the roll with talking about pics, I took some pics of the beautiful double rainbow we had this evening. I was a couple of minutes down the road from my house taking my walk when I heard it; rumbles of thunder! I booked butt back home and was very thankful that I didn't have to watch the show up close and personal. Can't post the pics though because DH is cleaning up the computer. He purchased an external hard drive and has been trasfering files to it. So glad that he knows what he is doing.

Hi M&N!

Thanks Pike and D for your generous comments. I was not looking my best in the pics. Too tired. And full. And we were all sharing one shower (not at the same time).

The external HD is a lifesaver! I got one last year. Cleaned out my HD and my computer perked up immediately and no longer scared of losing everything!

Put "seeing a drag show with Pike" on my to-do list. Love the ladies! There was even a drag king there. Honestly, it was a great mix of people there, very entertaining and fun!

Will have to check those pics...Wimpy Kid books are very popular...glad he's enjoying his new room.
You can post the rainbow later Pike...love rainbows!
Off to watch America's got talent.

Evening! I spend the whole day doing nothing but playing computer games. And finishing the dishes MIL told me last night she would do today. She spent most of the afternoon shopping with SIL and when she came home, told Curtis to do them for me. WTH! Sorry, we already had chores we wanted him to do.

MK, those pictures are great. You all look like you had a blast.

M&N, welcome back. I hope you don't wait too long to show up tonight. I can't do late nights anymore. I must be getting old. :lmao:

D&D, the room looks awesome. DS must be loving it.

Hey Pikester!

Did anyone watch the VMA awards last night? I've come to the conclusion that Lady GaGa is the freakiest person on this earth.

And MK, at first, I though you found a costume that was a set of pumpkins studded with little mirrors and glitter! I need to read slower. :lmao:

I'm around. Have the season finale of the Closer on right now.

I'm going to buy a small pumpkin and some sparkle stuff and stud my pumpkin. Maybe tomorrow after I vote.

and JO, that kind of houseguest behavior just stinks.

No, no cable here. But I agree with the statement anyways. Well, either her or "Marilyn Manson" I think that is what "his" name is.....

JO -- you must have A WHOLE LOT more diginity than me, I would have told my MIL to pull up her rubber gloves and get on the dishes. PERIOD.
