I thought it was adorable! Did the boys talk about any toys they have now that they would probably want to keep? Do you have any from when they were littler?

They have a bunch of toys from DH and I were small. Our baement is full of toys we couldn't part w/ as kids.
DS12 is like Sid in the fact that he breaks all his stuff and toys run from him.
DS8 has so many toys and plays a lot like ANdy did with a ton of imagination. I am sure when the time comes, he won't want to part with any of them.

I see we had a busy night on here last night.

LITC: That Walter is just too darn cute!

JO: Glad to see that the family gets to getaway for a little while.

D&D: I just never seem to be on when you are. Hmmmmmm, could we be the same person? I've still got a few of my toys from when I was little, well, maybe not little little but from when I was older then little. Did that make any sense?

Magi: Can't wait to hear how your weekend turns out with all your guests.

M&N: Is the tree all cleaned up?

Not much else is going on around here. The kids and I are just hanging around the house most of the day during the week and then on the weekends we shake things up with dinner out or something. School starts on August 30th but I haven't been counting down the days yet. I'm actually not looking forward to it much. DS12 starts 7th grade at the Middle/High School and that means he needs to be at the school by 7:15A. Last year he had to be in school by 8:15A so we've got an hour difference and he needs to get ready during my get ready time. We'll have to figure something out. I use to take both boys to school in the morning but I think DS12 is going to have to take the bus. I just don't even want to think about but I suppose I better get a call into the bus garage to find out what time the bus comes to our street and make sure that they put him on the list of morning pick ups.

Good Morning.

Lots of little details to think about before school starts Pikester! Those big yellow busses don't bother me any more. I guess 3 years out did it for me. I do feel for the stress I hear in teacher's voices when they talk about in-services and getting back. There are several new things for this year and schools will be changing next year when the district goes with 4 or 5 K-3 buildings and a new 4-6 building. 6th used to be in middle school. They haven't told the teachers how the new building will run.

It looks like a great day today. I'm taking my friend who had the stroke in the spring to a farmers market today. She is still having vision problems with a large part of her vision black.

Hotel JO! Sounds like a good name! They go in but never go out! 24 hr restaurant.

Good morning ladies! Still no telephone here, the tech is supposed to be here tomorrow morning. I was hoping to avoid him coming over (and my having to be ready by 8am) but the phone has not cooperated yet.

Today I am Iron Chef Zucchini! I was give a great hunker of a zuke, and I'm going to battle. I have several recipes---zucchini-blueberrry bread, chocolate-zucchini bread, zucchini brownies. We'll just have to see how it goes.

OMG Pike! DS has to be in school by 7:15?! I would have failed out of school, there is no way I could have made it there by that time.

I have lots of dolls from my childhood. I was exactly that child who thought all her dolls had feelings and needed love. Actually, I kinda still think that.

BF thought Sid should have been in the last movie too, just for continuity. We though he should have been the new pizza delivery boy.

M....that's so wonderful that your friend's vision is coming back. Must be such a joy for her after such a tough few months.

I would hope that Sid would have grown up a bit, maybe he and Andy becoming friends down the road....but I don't like to have my pizza delivered anyway, just for that reason! You don't know what they've been doing to it!

I meet with Wendy for lunch Friday. She has to pick up her DS that afternoon, her DD the next day. I'm so excited to see her! But yes, its busy. I have lunch with her, Sting in the evening, family sometime that weekend.

Its really very funny how with all the technology, we still can't get our plans straight. My cousin says she heard that everyone will be back Friday. I heard that they'll be here Saturday. Regardless, I still have a barbecue SANS family Saturday afternoon. I may need a drink by then....

Looks like everyone is back from their weekend activities.

I have kept some things from childhood. I also like to pile things up on any flat surface. I watch the hoarding shows. My goal is to NOT look like that! So far you can still see the furniture and the floor.

I totally have hoarding tendencies. Its scary, I know. My goal is also not to be featured on one of those shows. Until then, I'm pretty pile happy.

The battle has been won...and the winner is....my tummy! The plain zucchini bread looks a little funky, but tastes good. The chocolate zucchini bread is amazing and looks so good. The zucchini brownies came out much darker than I had thought, but its so thick and dense and just perfect for some ginger ice cream!

Am I right in thinking you have a new love? Mr. Z? He sopunds like an all around kind of guy...mixes well with any crowd...and is just plain yummy!

M&N DH is in a Pro-Am right now. He has one of the highest handicaps there (meaning he is one of the "worst" golfers there). I think he may feel a bit intimidated. He has an 11 or 12 handicap I believe.
