Good morning ladies!
Let me just say, I am not as young as I used to be. I spent yesterday afternoon playing catch up with my girlfriend visiting from Scotland. Remarkably, very little has changed since we first became friends in 9th grade, which is very comforting. She's on a whirlwind visit while her husband is attending a symposium on Long Island. I'll see her again next weekend.
We got together with another girl from high school--she has a 15 and 13 y/o! It was just amazing that she has teenagers, when honestly, I don't feel much older than 19 myself. Or is that just wishful thinking?
Last night, I took Dad to see Celtic Woman. I made sure to get there early so he could appreciate the venue. Its really a gorgeous place.

I knew Dad was appreciating it when he started singing "Amazing Grace" with the rest of the audience. The performances were just amazing. Their voices is quite possibly the closest thing I've heard to angels singing.
During the encore, it started pouring, which just added to the ambiance. Despite the high winds and lightning, they kept singing and we kept enjoying. There was a storm watch out with dangerous lightning. We just waited about 15 minutes after the show until it stopped raining and then we ran to the car.
Being locals, once out of the lot, we were home in 10 minutes. Fantastic! But boy was I tired last night. How am I going to survive another 3 concerts in 2 weeks? But, heck am I going to try!
