My girlfriend from Scotland came into town tonight. I have family invading next weekend. Things are getting a little hairy for me. I'm not usually this social.

JO...what website are you watching? Deb said she's let me know when its over and they're safe....

MK, to watch the line of storms as they are passing through, I use Accu-weather and just put in her city. (pm me if you need it). They will also update the warnings as they come out/get changed.

For the local news updates, right now I glancing at this site. http://www.nbc15.com/

We are having a picnic here on Saturday night. I'm looking forward to it....sorta. It will be fun while it's going on. But the next day, I will be stuck cleaning everything up along with all the other usual Sunday chores. Well, Curt and Jackie will help but we really are on our own with everything here.

Yep, family or as close to family as you can get. It won't be big but I know the aftermath will be a mess. Maybe I'll just sit my butt on a chair and make every wait on me for the night.

Get this....no burgers at the picnic. SIL is bringing steaks and we are having hot dogs too. What a great combo.

Not potato but pasta salad. And deviled eggs. MIL may make macaroni salad. SIL is also making some kind of diced potatoes in aluminum foil packets to put on the grill.

Sounds good. My mom is dying for some pasta salad. She's going to use bottled dressing though. To buy the pasta salad ready made is very expensive.

Did you ever go to a Uno's pizza place? I went to one in Baltimore...their thin pizza was delicious.

Yeah, it is very expensive to buy ready made in the store.

When I make it, I buy a little kit called Pasta Accents. It's found near the boxed mac & cheese. Giant will often sell it for 1.00 a box. I just change the direction a tad bit and add an extra tablespoon of oil so it's not so dry. Throw it whatever veggies/cheeses/meats we want and a box is good for a few days.

We tried something in a box once and she really didn't like it. I cannot eat too much of it because of the carbs. All the good stuff has a lot!
