I haven't been there but I've heard before that their pizza is good. I haven't had a good thin crust pizza in ages. Was the crust crispy?

It was very brown and crispy...in fact the server commented on it and said it looked really good. We picked 3 toppings---roasted veggies, sausage and something else??? I also had a side salad with a blueberry dressing. It was yummy. But I did blow it on the way home---had a snickers blizzard!

I need to call it a night...still praying for you D&D! Hope this doesn't upset the boys.

I'm going to see Toy Story tomorrow. :woohoo:

Night JO...

Wow....I've missed a lot again!

Hiya Tink! Yes, we are pretty chatty, but don't let that intimidate you. If you get lost or fall behind, just jump right on in...

Not only am I the new gal and will be lost for a while trying to get to know a little about everyone but then I have to try and keep up with the latest and greatest news....phew....

Welcome Tink! Try not to blink around here, you'll miss 10 pages in that time. :rotfl:

You're not kiddin!' :upsidedow

Tink: If you have any questions, feel free to ask. It is hard to follow sometimes! D&D's neighborhood was visited by a tornado in June! She can fill more in. It was not a great experience when it happened and the nightmare is still going on by the sounds of it. Tell us some things about yourself--you don't have to do it all at once! I am a retired school librarian and live near Hershey.

I'm a stay at home mom of 3 boys. Life is NEVER dull in this house. ;) Yet as I write this I realize there is nothing that exciting to tell ya about my house! LOL

Welcome Tink! Sorry I"ve been a little preoccupied lately.

We had a tornado hit the house about a month ago. Lots of broken windows, roof damage, water damage, etc. Very scary experience. We had just made it to the basement when my husband covered the family with a blanket. Lights went off. Then all we could hear was glass breaking, things hitting the house (which sounded like bowling ball size hail) and wood cracking/ripping. We came up to find the house still in tact, things impaled in the sides, and a HUGE mess.
Right now we're fighting w/ insurance and mortgage company to pay the contractors or give us money for a down payment to get the work started.

Oh no, that's so scary!! Thank God you're all safe! Then the whole insurance thing kind of puts a damper on your celebration I'm sure. Are y'all able to live in the house right now?

Hey ladies...I went to Fb, but if you're here.....I just spoke to Deb. There's another storm heading their way tonight and we need prayers that this one doesn't happen and no more damage! I spoke to the Prez too...its breaking my heart. This can't happen again....prayer train!

Lifting the family up in prayers!!!

Night M&N. If anything is heard about D&D, I'll make sure it gets to you.

Hey Tink! I'm a SAHM to 3 girls and 1 boy. The girls are 7,9, & 14. Our sons is 17. I see most of your boys are younger than my girls.

Nothing exciting ever happens here at my house....except the usual witching and moaning from the kids.

hey guys...haven't heard from D. Just hoping they got to sleep and we'll hear about it later.

I just got a prank call. Some girl singing jingle bells. Now I can't sleep and have that stupid song in my head.

Morning ladies!

Faithful_Tink: I hope you don't mind but I'm going to call you Tink or FT, helps to shorten it up a little.:goodvibes I was a SAHM for about 10 years to my two boys ages 9 and 12 (almost 13). I now work part time as a substitute teacher at DS9's school which is K-4th grade.

JO: I love cookouts but we never seem to have any. I want to have a big one with lots of friends and good food but it just never seems to work out.

M&N: I love Blizzards but it needs to be a peanutbutter cup one!

Magi: Ring, Ring. Hi, is there a Mr. Butts there? A Mr. Seymour Butts?
Ring, Ring. Hi, is your refrigerator running? Then you better go catch it!

I really hope we hear from Deb. I've been thinking and worrying about her since last night.

(grumbling) Good morning ladies. Did not sleep well at all. May have to schedule a nap later on....

Go for the nap Kitty---you will need to catch up on that rest for the weekend...

Its really good sleeping weather here. Its raining and the steady patter is lulling me to sleep. Still waiting on news from D though....

I just hope it rains today and not tomorrow for the concert.....doesn't really matter. I'm getting the galoshes out and braving it anyway! Kittymobile has 4wd, what's a little mud?

Sorry I missed you last night Tink. Hope you don't mind the shortened version of your name. I was such a novice to these thihngs when I signed on I could not think of a clever name so I used my initials! When we first started this, I made a cheat sheet so I could remember things about the posters. I think I need to do it again---I do have trouble with names. So please feel free to ask about things. We are a group of caring friends and appreciate the interaction. There are all kinds of TKers here. Married and not, young and not so young, moms and grandmoms, working and not.

Have a great weekend everyone. I'm going to see Toy Story today! I'm going with my HP friends--he got us the tickets.

You have a wonderful weekend too M!

We loved Toy Story. Bring tissues! But its a feel good movie and so charming. Pls tell you HP friends thanks for the great tix last month!

Hoping D&DDisney is alright. Heard about the storms in Wisconsin on my local news. It has to be pretty bad (or a slow news day) for my news to carry it.

We finally got some rain yesterday. It was pretty heavy, causing the satellite to go out. DH was forced to look out the windows for entertainment.

Ok, I'm watching entirely too much Cooking channel. I'm "making" chicken korma--from a jar--and in my head I have a clipped British accent telling some imaginary watchers to "gently fold in the lovely green-ness of the pea into the creamy korma".

M--I love Boscovs! But I don't get to go nearly as much. I have to order online from them. but we did stop by last weekend. I got some amazing microfiber sheets for $7. They have the best doorbusters. The sheets are so soft and cool--perfect for summer. My only complaint is that they didn't have pink, so I had to settle for lavender. I also got a cute silver bracelet 50% off....

JcPenney has been coming out really hard with the coupons lately. We just got a Sephora (makeup) in ours that I"m excited to try out....

Hey gals. Thanks for the prayers last night. We are soooo appreciative!!!We had a real scary one again.

There were 4 count them 4 tornados that went through the area. Luckily, (and I believe this is because I called friends and asked them to pray:grouphug:) they took a turn south before hitting our town again. They were on the EXACT same path as last time. Hitting the exact same towns. ONly this time they were F0 which meant they were very weak tornados. Anyhow, we were hunkered down in the basement from about 6pm until 10pm when they finally gave us the all clear. Imagine the 4 of us crouched under the stairs with blanket, radio, lantern and water for 4hrs. They kept issuing tornado warnings and gave the path and time the tornado would be in our area. Each time we got to the point where the warning was set to expire, they would issue another one. They just kept coming one after the other like a train. Huge t-storms and lots of rain. Got about 8 inches of rain in like 2 hrs. It was unreal!!!! Milwaukee got so much rain there were sink holes forming at major intersections that were bigger than a house:scared1:.
Not sure if that made the national news.
It felt like the apocalypse or something biblical the way those storms kept forming and training through all of SE Wisconsin. UNREAL!!!!

By the time we came upstairs and got the kids to sleep. (all in our room) we just crashed with exhaustion. The power had gone out too. I am sorry I didn't call last night or this morning. We got up late and then I took the kids out of the house, somewhere fun to help them cope with this all. We just got home.

Thanks again so very much for your prayers. I felt them work. DS8 said it too this morning when we realized how close those tornados came to us but then turned right before the came towards our neighborhood. The power of prayer.

Oh thank goodness that everyone is ok! What a crazy weather summer this has been. Please, please let this be the end of all the inclement weather. Please let us enjoy the rest of a wonderful summer with no more drama.

Oh yes, the big guy upstairs is so good to us. Thank you for all our blessings and keeping our loved ones safe.

You're not kidding! I join in the midst of some scary stuff for one of your fellow TKers and see how y'all really rally together for support. Awesome to see - especially on the internet!

How'd you like Toy Story? My family thought is was the best yet. I did cry like a little girl at the end, though.

Morning ladies!

Don't mind the shortened name one bit! In my house, with all the chaos that can errupt, everyone is lucky to get a name. When I want one of my kids I'll usually start off going through the barrel of names (including our dog) and finally just say 'you, with the (input color) shirt on...' Haha. At least I only have boys. Bad enough getting called by the dogs name, not sure how they'd react if I called them by a girls name!

OH, and now you've made me want a peanutbutter cup blizzard. :yay:

Oh my goodness. Thank God you're all alright. Poor kids have to be a little shooken up - not to mention mom and dad. Keeping you in prayers that everything starts to ease up - weather and insurance issues.

Now off to get my kids ready. The two older boys are going to our neighbors for the evening! Just hubby, me, and our little teether! If I'm not on later....have a wonderul night all!

Deb ~ So glad that everyone is ok. "NO MORE STORMS". We saw on the news some of what was happening in your state. Extra hugs and prayers still being sent your way.
